The service was friendly and my husband and I had a great time sitting in the lounge Our drinks and food came out quickly and everything tastes great just a little expensive for us we would like to go there more but the prices are high

Meh. It's ok but not great bbq. The better item of bbq is the pulled pork, the other bbq items are just average. My. Friends liked it so I have been several times, last time I was there I had the Cajun chicken sandwich and that was good.

I have a list of places I don't go and Famous Dave's is number one on the list. To compact in one area first of all. We have had a waiter try to sit people at our table with us that we didn't even know because it was to cram packed. My last experience was with my family on my birthday, I figured give it another shot my kids like bbq. Now it was once again so packed they sat us outside right off the bat with major attitude and that was the last service we saw that day. Before leaving we waited about 45 minutes and the only person who even saw us outside was a big fake pig waiving at my son. The foods decent but not worth that kind of shitty service. Goodbye Dave

Wild rice chicken soup and corn muffins are delicous! Service is excellent. You get a real friendly cozy feel inside. The decor is all authentic western and amazing!

Today was my first time to this place because well...I'm not a Montanan, and my brother-in-law wanted to take me here to try this place out. The staff is friendly but the service can be a bit slow. From what my sis and BIL said, we pretty much placed the order right when the waiter came to avoid waiting over 20 minutes to see a server and getting our food. We ordered the combo platter for two that consists of grilled chicken, half a rack of ribs, potato wedges, corn, cornbread, beef brisket, beans, a slice of bread, and coleslaw. Because there were four of us, we ordered an extra full rack of baby back ribs that came with garlic mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese. The coleslaw and corn were pretty good in addition to the brisket. I can't say the same about the rest. -Slice of bread -soggy -Beans-can't say since I don't like eating beans, but my BIL likes it. -Corn-can't go wrong with corn...then again I like grilled corn -Ribs (2 types)- hard and dry. If you want off the bone ribs, this is not the place for you. You will need to work a bit to get those meat off the bones. I love the places in Cali better; however, I love the restaurant in Columbia Falls way better!! They have good ribs and awesome fried bread. I rather take that 15-20 minutes drive to Columbia Falls just to pick the ribs up, which I do every time I come here to visit my sister. -Garlic mashed potatoes- hmm it's so bland that you can't even taste the garlic! -Mac & cheese - blah that's all I can say. My niece and nephew pretty much refused to eat it. -corn bread- a bit too dry -chicken- it's...okay. If it's a little bit more moist than it would be better. I guess you can say I am not a fan. Will not come back. I'm a bit sad because I love ribs and this is a disappointment.

Came here for a date night with my husband. First time I have Been here. Great food. Great service. on my thing was nice and moist, right amount of seasoning for everything. They had to go boxes And to go containers for your coleslaw and beans. A definite must come back

Not bad BBQ for a joint from Minnesota. Service always good and the food doesn't taste like it was cooked yesterday. Always ready to come back but we all know the beat BBQ is in TEXAS PS - get some Splenda on the tables. You are the last ace in the country that does not have it.

We like the place, but the food quality and quantities continue to go down and the prices continue to go up, so it's very far from our first choice of places to go.

Ordered the brisket, it was pretty overcooked and tasted like rehydrated beef jerky. I'm not trying to be hypercritical but the meat was pretty dry and tough. However, they have great sauces and the BBQ chips are a good change from the usual fry. But their fries are great too. The Mac and cheese has jalapeños which gives it a nice kick too. I don't know if we just got a bad order of brisket, but anyways, overall good place.

The salmon low calorie entree was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was so low calorie that I had their awesome bread pudding and ice cream for dessert.

Look. I'm from California so I understand that I don't know bar-B-Q as well as someone say from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, or Kansas City. The brisket sandwich here was one of the best I've had. The Georgia Mustard sauce was delicious. Our waitress Mellisa was very friendly and sweet. Great experience. I wish we had some in San Diego. It would give Phill's bar b q a run for its money.

We drove here from glacier park macdonald area one night for dinner. This is a casual place with a hearty meal. I ordered the naked ribs ( gluten free but didn't feel so good afterwards , I question the flavorings on the ribs) and broccoli side. Delicious. Beef brisk it was tasty as well. Service was slow. I couldn't get the wifi to work. They have a lounge/bar/outdoor patio you can seat yourself right away. Got a table quick on a Friday night at around 7 pm.

Of course I know this is not the corner BBQ stand ran by family, but sometimes you find yourself here. My husband had a BBQ jones on and he is the last person I thought would come in here. Service was fine and the food seemed a little off compared to what I have experienced at Dave's. Some of it was on the cooler side and I just was not feeling it. We split the giant garbage can lid for two, and boxed more than half of that. I am not sure why they gave us a compartment box for slaw and beans that were going to run loose the minute we closed the lid on them. I told my husband to ask for a small container for his BBQ sauce, but he just didn't and by the time that hot mess got back to the room it was like BBQ Armageddon. I was not touching it again or planning a trip back to Dave's any time soon.

It is basic barbecue. It was okay. They have five sauces to choose from served on the table, so we tasted them all, but I only liked the Sweet and Zesty. The hottest sauce they have I would score a 1 on my scale. But the corn muffin that comes with every meal was AMAZING.

It was a LONG day traveling and I was hungry. I have eaten at Dave's Famous in other locations. This was exceptional. I had a combo plate of Baby Backs and Burnt Ends. Wow. Moist and succulent. Well seasoned ends full of flavor. The onion pickle was a great accompaniment. Ribs were just right. Slight caramalisation and smoke ring made these so tasty. As was the Going to the Sun IPA. (20 tap beers to select from.) I ordered the fries and they were crispy with no grease. Easy dish to mess up. These were perfection. Beans were ok. Great service and they open till 11 pm. If you are in a Q mood this will not disappoint.

First, let me state that , I'm from the South, so I know 1st hand how BBQ is supposed to taste. With that in mind, you can take with a grain of salt my statement of, this is not how BBQ tastes back home in the Great State of Louisiana. However, we are not in The Great State of Louisiana, we are in Montana and Montana restaurants have a bad habit of "dumbing" food down to suite the taste of Montanans. That taste being that of bland. Fortunately for all of us, it hasn't dumbed down too much, like most flavorful food, because I have to say it isn't half bad. I've ordered quite a few things off the menu, and while it isn't Louisiana good, it's pretty darn good...good enough to keep me going back. As to the setting, it's wonderful; it has a warm, rustic, lodge feel to it. Actually, it's kind of what I assumed all restaurants in Montana would look like, but rarely do.

It took forever to get our BBQ and when we did it was cold, meaning it had been sitting around the kitchen for a while. I don't suggest going here unless you simply need a BBQ fix.

We don't go here very often even though we live in the area, and there is always good word about the food, so today we ventured in and had a late lunch. We ordered a rib combo to share, which was really good, and cooked perfect. We also order a side of brisket that was fork tender and very tasty. We almost ate it all except for a few ribs that came home with us for a later snack. The one thing is that the service was really slow. Pretty friendly, but very slow, for a while I wasn't sure they remembered we were there, and I thought I was going to have to ask for a menu. Oh well, it is Sunday anyway. A weekday and they may have lost another star over it. I am feeling generous today so four stars it is (maybe 3 1/2).
(4)
Robert J.
Gave 4 stars because I have been here many times and keep coming back. Over all service was good and food was good. We ordered Feast for Two. I only have two minor complaints, one the Fries were awful and although they advertise Wi Fi we were unable to connect while there. Hope they will fix soon.

We ate here on the recommendation of a local. The food was good, I will say that. Keep in mind we were starving. Also need to say it was SO LOUD and just generally manic that my husband was starting to get homicidal before the food was served! Service was pleasant but slow. So....if you don't mind LOUD / manic environment, and have some time / are not starving, and really love BBQ, then I recommend it. If that is not your thing, dine elsewhere. Kalispell has lots of good restaurants!

REALLY THE BEST BAR-B-QUE FOOD IN KALISPELL!!! Every time we come to Kalispell, ( 5 times ), we have at least one dinner at Famous Daves. Consistantly TERRIFIC Bar-B-Q!!! Their ribs are always great and the meats are cooked to absolute perfection! If I could, I would give it six stars!!!
