Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Amazing portions, great service and an authentic home style Oriental cuisine. Won't leave you hungry and hour later like most places of this nationality. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but amazing food! Recommend Food: spicy Kung-Pow chicken, Sweet and Sour Prawns, and always Combination rice!

Pricy for what you get.. Most of the food was okay but nothing special. it is what you might expect from Chinese takeout. Chicken was chewy, over breaded then over cooked so you end up with a tiny piece of overcooked chicken surrounded by a barrier of batter armor...The sweet and sour sauce is not so sweet or sour. Nothing exciting, and on the expensive side. We never went back.

Charlie Wongs is an ol' Chinese standby here in the Flathead. That being said the best thing is lunch, and the best dish is hands down Kung pao. I've tried the others and I always go back to the Kung pao because it's classically good. Don't waste your time on the others. Get out of there for super cheap.

Food is consistently good. Get it about once a month or more. The dining area is simple and typical for casual Asian food. If you like spicy and hot dishes, be warned...you must ask for Extra, extra, extra hot just to get anything. They have tuned down the dishes for the typical Montanan taste buds. Even Mongolian Beef is bland without reinforcing the XXX Hot.

Definitely not the best asian food in kalispell. Sometimes you get the bread ball with no meat or soggy breading. And I've gotten deep fried items that at dirty greasy and had flecks of burnt breading stuck to it. But mucher higher quality than a buffet. And its easy on my stomach. I still eat there fairly often.

It doesn't look like anything special on the outside nor the inside, but this is hands down THE BEST CHINESE in the valley. Charlie's older building is funky and it doesn't provide the best ambience. You might appreciate it more if you get take out. But I find you can usually find the best Chinese by choosing the building in a negatively exponential fashion. And this is it! I've been frequenting this fabulous establishment for 10+ years now and I've never been disappointed. My favorites are the Chicken Chow Mein, Won Ton Soup, and Kung Pao Chicken. Buddha Delite is a great option for vegetarians. All dishes easily rival their competion in the valley. Saigon Garden, its sister restaurant isn't nearly as good. Probably because the building is nicer :-) Alley Connection is similar, (and perhaps in the family as well) but it does not have the portion size that Charlie's offers and it's more expensive. For the best Sweet and Sour, you'll find that at Chinatown (and it is the cheapest in town and has free delivery). For buffet, try Asian Buffet. But overall, Charlie Wong's is my top choice. Enjoy!

This is still the best chinese food I have ever had. Living in Arizona, I still havent found anything that comes close! My favorite dish was the Chicken Chow Mein. They just have the best noodles that nobody else uses. Everybody uses those thick La Choy noodles and they completely ruin the dish in my opinion. Does anybody know the type of noodles they use here? Very decently priced and great service.

If you look at the place on the outside, you probably will think twice but it is worth it. I've had a great eating experience every time I've sat down to eat here. Their pork appetizer is great, probably one of my favorite menu items of all places to eat. Their delivery (if you are in the evergreen area) is an unbeatable deal with the extra soups and sides they send to you. Also, I took some friends here and told them to try their hamburger. They didn't believe me but they were astounded at how well cooked and flavored their burger was. It made it clear that their chefs know what's going on. Worth checking out.

Last night we ate there and it was pretty gross! They waitress serving us barely spoke English and messed up my order I can't eat pork due to an allergy and I got pork after telling her NO combo rice I can't have pork. The sweet and sour chicken batter was doughy and when my dish came the second time it was now cold. :( I've eaten here before and it was ok but, now having doubts about coming back again. My husbands meal the egg rolls had a bitter flavor and he didn't finish his meal either.

After working at Charlie Wong's for years, I can still say the food is top notch. Everything is made fresh and it's ALLL good. I have never had anything bad here, even the burger and fries is a good option! Family run and friendly, chances are good you may see a wife, son or aunt serving or setting tables, everyone just jumps in and provides smiling customer service and great food. My all time favorite is the sweet and sour chicken and the egg rolls and seafood wontons are also to die for. All the soups are wonderful, my hubby loves the Mongolian Beef, brother loves the General Chicken...you can't go wrong with anything you order here. Lunch time combo meals are priced just right and dinner is served family style. Just be sure to bring some mints...you will definitely have some bad garlic breath but oh is it worth it.
