Kalispell is so fortunate to have this amazing bakery. The only bakery in the Flathead Valley that comes close to a true independant bakery, Ceres' creations resemble New York quality and style with French, Italian, and Jewish nuisances. Savory and sweet croissants, sweet potato sticky pecan buns, cinnamon rolls, challah bread (only on Fridays), cookies, rolls, tarts, breads and a variety of pastries, bars and sweets that are well-designed, elegantly flavored and nicely priced. The only bakery that might come close to this is in Whitefish buts it's way overpriced.....Quaint and cozy, there is limited seating...my favorite here is anything croissant.....but I also love the sticky buns. Get em all while they're available....they sell out fast....Wheat Montana is down the street. Its localish, wheat is grown in Montana. But it doesn't have the class nor quality that Ceres has....

I don't live here but I make it a point to visit Ceres every time I'm in the valley. Their berry Danish is a religious experience and the palmiers are lovely dipped in their strong and delicious coffee.

Oh my goodness! Amazing! We are on a cross country road trip and found this charming bakery on Yelp. The sticky bun was the best we have ever eaten. The soft bun combined with the sticky caramel was decadent. The bun did not have a large amount of nuts which I appreciated because I prefer no nuts so it was just enough for a hit of flavor and good texture. The savory croissant was an amazing combination of buttery pastry and a medley of feta, spinach and sun dried tomato. My latte came with art which I have missed while living in the northeast. In a nutshell...what a charming gem. If you are not driving there right now you should be. When we make another trip to Kalispell, we will be stopping by for sure!

Kalispell is known for ceres bakery. They have great pastries in the morning, I love their location downtown. Their coffee is awesome too. The owners are sweet. This is my place in the morning. =)

I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was hours before they were due to close. They had no savory rolls or non-sugary baked good of any kind. The only thing available to buy were cookies or loaves of bread. I just can't fathom why a bakery doesn't make some rolls and other options in advance and freeze them so they still have something to serve when they run out. What is it about coffee shops in the Valley only serving sugary foods? It's like all the adults here are children!

I only visit this bakery once or twice a year, so I always wonder if I remember it as being better than it actually is. My visit this time was exceptional, even better than the last. We bought a box with 5 items and not one made it to the next day. The orange bun is my favorite, they don't load it with sugar and the flavors are perfectly balanced. All of the turnovers we have eaten had buttery, flaky pastry layers and delicious fillings. This is a MUST VISIT for every trip to Kalispell!

This is the very best local bakery. I am never disappointed no matter what I get. Even more pleasant is the helpfulness, efficiency & cheeriness of every staff member. Don't try any other bakery in town.

What a cute little bakery in downtown Kalispell! Just stopped in on my way to Spokane. I ordered their green tea matcha, and the girl at the register was so sweet and suggested I try it with a shot of coconut. It was delicious! I also had one of their ricotta basil pastries with grape tomatoes on top- this was a great little snack to have on the road. Service here is very friendly, the location is great, and the matcha hit the spot. They also have free wi-fi here, which was a nice treat for me before I headed back out on country roads with no reception at all!

small hip little place. the kid behind the counter was so happy and cool to talk to, he automatically made you happy to be there. we had a bearclaw and a lemon chicken croissant sandwich. holy crap they were delicious. the bearclaw was buttery and flaky and perfect, the chicken sandwich was so good i wanted to go back and get another one. this may sound odd, but the way the men's bathroom is decorated is super cool, neat posters, and i loved the artistic lightswitch cover. it's a small detail, but the small details add up to a whole fantastic experience. great place.

Love this place! So simple and great choices of real baked goods. The staff is super friendly too.

Excellent bakery. Blows Wheat Montana out of the water. Don't believe me? Buy a chocolate croissant from Ceres, then go buy one from Wheat Montana. Ceres has an excellent selection of baked goods. Love the French baguette and I'd kill for them to have their apple turnovers year 'round. I'm an ex baker and know quality when I see it. I'll be a Ceres customer for life.

Came in for coffee and found irresistible pastries too. My friend had a wonderful huckleberry bun and I had a savory croissant, right out of the oven. The coffee was good, there was a plentiful assortment of pastries from which to choose, and the service was fast and super-friendly. Also appreciated the wifi.

We were walking down the street (yes main street) and the sign on the street said yummy treats. So we went inside - now remember we just finished a good lunch - and looked at the yummy treats. Anet choose a cranberry coconut chocolate crusted square. Well All I can say is she raved about how perfect it was as we strolled and she consumed the whole thing! Looks like yummy treats are ready and waiting for you!

This is likely the best bakery in town, BUT the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. This morning I went to get a box of sticky buns for my crew at work, and I was told I could only buy 6 when I wanted 12. "they didn't want to have angry customers later in the day" Well, HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!!! you just lost a customer. If you have guests in town, call ahead, or just go elsewhere... TOO BAD for Kalispell. Remember the Soup Nazi in Seinfeld?

Some of the best Semolina bread I've had. Look forward to trying some of the others and pastries as well. Your hard work, attention to detail and old world baking methods is greatly appreciated.
