Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

This is one of my favorite spots for a quick lunch. Although the line may look long during the lunch hour, the wait is short. The staff is friendly and fast, making sure to keep the dining room clean and taking the time to treat each customer like a regular. The pita bread is soft and satisfying and they have a wide selection of sauces. I often enjoy a chicken souvlaki salad or an Alexander gyro with pepper jack cheese and a spicy sauce. Meals are always fresh and flavorful; I have yet to be disappointed.

CONS: Gyros should have (more) lamb. Portions are small. PROS: Flavours are very good. Tzaziki is made in house. Customer Service is good. I ordered the Zeus, a double-meat item - and found it to be lacking in volume, however, this is much like the only Greek Gyros place in Missoula. As in, anywhere else in gyros/schwarma territory, a regular has as much as their double. There clearly needs to be more competition. This is a staple food, not a luxury, in other parts of the world (turkey, near-east, and now europe for over a decade). It is so common, it has replaced, as it should, many local fast food options, including the corporate McDonalds, and Burger King. Although those kind of places exist merely on recognition value and proximity to tourism spots, anyone with a little investigation and eyes, will see these very non-U.S. spots and the smells, wonderful. So, it was very difficult for me to rate this. Three stars internationally, four locally, almost five. It was hard for me to give an honest review because customer service from one of the family owners was so good. Apparently, no one makes their own gyros here. It all comes from chicago ($$$). If there was a little more demand, and a local Montana production, it could take off. That would also increase the volume of the servings.

Okay gyros but they really need to add fries to their menu. Pretty mediocre as far as Greek food.

We were in town for the Made in Montana show, needed something different to eat so I found "Planet Gyros". Small "whole in the wall" restaurant, but don't let that fool you. I could not be more pleased the food was fresh and taste was great. service was spot on and friendly.

Disappointing is the only way I can explain it. Me and boyfriend got beef gyros and cajun gyros. They charged extra for cheese which threw me off right away. The beef was a sad wanna be of lamb and reminded me of cheap balogni. It didn't have much flavor and I had to heavily salted to taste anything. The cajun one tasted like someone spilled Tapatio sauce on it. And strangely they gave us plastic cups instead of paper which is rare at a quick sit restaurant ... Shows they might be trying to cut corners to lower costs and made me uncomfortable. Other than that the service was good and maybe there were some better things on the menu that I missed. We were tourists passing through and the bagel place and Mexican restaurant close bye looked more promising.

What a great gyro place! You have to try the Zeus with double everything! But I give them four stars instead of five only because I wish they had lamb anywhere on their menu. A gyro should be lamb, but they do a great job spicing the beef they use to taste a bit like lamb. My wife has also gotten a chicken gyro which was also great! Just because they don't have lamb does not keep us away, but I sure wish they did!

Delicious! I always have a picky, customized order and they have never messed up. The greek sauce is amazing. They do get very busy during the lunch rush, but they are pretty fast.

The original beef gyro surprised the heck out of because it was so tasty. It hit the spot and made me wish this place was in the town I live in.

Absolutely the best Gyros around! I could eat here every day. The foods just awesome. I love the Apollo ... Give it a try you won't be disappointed

When I started working next door to planet gyro I was convinced I hated gyros and would never eat one. One of my coworkers was eating one and had me take a bite. Instantly fell in LOVE! I won't go anywhere but planet gyro when I'm in Helena because it's that good. Their employees know me on the first name basis because I'm there that often. Recommend it to EVERYONE

The beef gyros at this place is ok. The chicken is really bad. If you've ever had proper gyros before you would not eat at this place. The food is inexpensive and the place is really simple but clean.

1. Excellent service 2. Great tasting food 3. Fresh food 4. Clean environment Regardless of your menu choice, I am sure you will not be disappointed. My favorite is the Zeus w/chicken. Great flavors, huge portions and fresh ingredients. Love this place!

Yep.. still great. I visit helena once a year. Always have lunch here... no lamb though :(

Gotta say, this place is great. Fresh veggies, clean, friendly staff. We had two gyros, and baklava, less than $12! Better than some places in Chicago. The salads looked good too. Of note, after taking our money, the cashier washed his hands. I am big on noticing cleanliness.

I just moved to Helena from Chicago recently, so I know good Gyros, and this place does good gyros. I've tried both the Zeus and Apollo gyros here and both were made with fresh quality ingredients ,generously portioned, and very delicious. Well priced too, your better off going here and getting an actual quality meal than any of the fast food joints nearby. Friendly and accommodating staff as well. The only critique I can offer if you can call it one is I wish they had a lamb option.

I really liked it. Had the classic gyro and not bad for the price. I was driving through and happy to find something to suggest to the car to save me from taco bell again.

Great tasting and fresh ingredients. Get the Alexander if you are hungry and want it all. The soups are made fresh and I have yet to be disappointed with any of the choices.

Go here for lunch fairly often... Food is great and so is the service. There usually fairly busy at the lunch hour, but i usually have my gyro at my table by the time i fill up my soda and sit down. My absolute favorite thing about this place is that when you use your card, they dont give you a tip option! I absolutely HATE the tip option everywhere you swipe your card, I don't want to tip, but I hate putting a zero in that section, so I LOVE not having to deal with that!
(5)James B.
They have the absolute BEST soups!! Wednesday they have their Cheesy Chicken Tortellini and it is to die for!!! If you've ever got a chill swing in. It'll warm you right up :)
(5)Shannon M.
These Gyros are simply the best gyros I have ever had. They also have some of the best soups, frozen yogurt, and Italian sodas. They have generous portions, a great atmosphere, and super friendly staff! The owners are the sweetest people ever. My only complaint? They are so good, it is standing room only during lunch rush! But they make up for it by offering call ahead ordering and orders by fax!
(5)Andrew R.
Decent gyros, but not outstanding. WAY better than Pita Pit, though, and not a chain. The counterman was friendly and accommodating, and the food came out quickly. The pita bread was also far better than at the Pit (Pit pita is unpleasantly... un-pita-ish. I can't really come up with a better descriptor), and the toppings and meat were piled on. Go local for your gyro needs.

Awesome!!! Even the weird guy that refused to move so I could get by didn't spoil my trip. Always great, fast, friendly and good prices.
(5)Sarah M.
The best gyro I've ever had, and I've had my share of gyros. They also have frozen yogurt.
