Been here many times, always good. The Homemade soups are very flavorful. I don't know why more people don't come here. Friendly service, moderate pricing, good dependable food, centrally located, good atmosphere. Come on folks.

Ok food was to the bar fast. That is the only plus. We ordered two well margaritas and a order of rings. We got 2 10oz drinks for $5. They have two price of rings we thought we were getting the $6 ones because we sat at the bar and thought we were ordering off the bar menu but we got the $8.95 rings off the dinner menu instead. Sad

We went here for lunch during a visit to Helena. The flatbread pizza is amazing! I recommend the Mediterranean flatbread. I will definitely return here.

Walked in, was greeted by a very friendly host. We were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, and well informed on food and drinks. Started out with the deep fried green beans, very tasty appetizer! Girlfriend had the seafood mac n cheese which she said was very good. I had the gnocchi with was amazing, the potatoe dumplings were outstanding. We are traveling from Seattle and found Fusion Grille to be a very nice suprise.

Came here on a day trip from helena and asked the girl at the ulta store where we should get lunch at! She recommended this place and we were not disappointed! The prices may seem a bit high, but you get A LOT of food for the price! Totally worth every penny! My friend and I both got the fish tacos, and they were amazing! We also got the gluten free sweet potato fries I would highly recommend stoping by and getting some food!

Great concept. Needs improvement in execution. I got the Thai Salad with beef. The beef was very low quality. Tough. Gristly. Weird translucent appearance and really rubbery texture. My life partner got the Puebla flatbread which was good but the flatbread ended up soggy halfway through eating it. Also, the flatbread sandwich had a whole chicken breast in it which made it impossible to fold and eat. He had to slice it into bite sized pieces himself. This is something the kitchen should do so it is ready to eat upon delivery. His Iced Tea looked like dishwater. Red chili onion rings were very yummy but would be vastly improved by more red pepper flakes in the batter. Maybe a spicy sauce. Overall really appealing atmosphere. Food had real potential but fell short of success.

My kids and I were in town for a swim meet, so I wanted to take them out for a good meal the night before the meet started. So we all agreed this might be a fun and unique place to try. Okay, the location and set up is very nice. It looks like a five star restaurant. Very nice decor and ambiance. We were immediately greeted and seated by our server (it was still early around 4). I ordered an Italian Pinot Grigio which deserves a five star. We also ordered Buffalo Wings as an appetizer which was delicious and a pretty big serving compared to other restaurants. I ordered the Thai caramel chicken dinner which sounded way more amazing than it actually was...in fact, it was a total disappointment. For the price, I kind of expected a more flavorful and delicious taste at the very minimum. Instead I couldn't take more than a few bites before I just could not stomach it anymore. It tasted like a generic frozen dinner heated up in a microwave and served on a plate. I could probably look past this and say it was a fluke and my taste buds just didn't agree with this entree except my kids felt the same about their meals (seafood Mac and cheese and BBQ burger) and they are not picky eaters at all. My son said his Mac and cheese was very bland...he ended up getting a box which i haven't seen him not finish a meal in years. The service was good though. Our server was on point with drink refills. I would give the service a 5. But the food is soooo overpriced for the quality you receive....it lacks the 'wow' factor you expect when you pay this much. Even if the meal was a quarter of the price I paid, I'd still say it wasn't worth the money. I'm giving the service, appetizer, and Pinot Grigio a 5 star, but I'm taking 1 star off for the meh entrees and another star off for the amount they charged for the meh entrees.

This was the worst service I've ever encountered. First, the waiter didn't know the beer menu. That's fine, beers rotate a lot. After the last two members of our group showed up, we counted and it was over an hour until we saw our waiter again. It wasn't even full. Then, we grabbed another waitress in the meantime and tried ordering more beer. Rather than ordering what we wanted, she brought us different beers and acted upset when we corrected her. When our waiter finally showed up for us to pay, it was another 15 minutes before we got copies of our receipts to sign. I will not go back. Awful, awful wait staff.

This was the worst meal I have had in many years, and every person in my group agreed. The majority of food my group was served was inedible. The manager offered a refund and handled the situation extremely well. That said the food is expensive and awful and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food presentation was very nice, however, not enough food for the price. Fish and chips were very good, but you only got 3 filets. Conversely, the Fusion Burger was normal size and had a bit of flavor (not much). Kid's meals were kind of disappointing. Pizza was a bit small an the mac and cheese was bland. Overall, bad. I would not recommend

Always look forward to getting a Chipotle Avocado Burger when I visit Helena. It was especially delicious this last time! We had a late lunch and it seemed like one server was running the whole restaurant and bar despite this Lacey took GREAT care of us! We started with chips and salsa--yum and $3 micro brews!

We went there for dinner last Thursday night. The waiter spilled an entire tray of ice water down my back and front. He did apologize. Then went away and never came back. He sent someone else over to wait on our table. No one ever said anything inappropriate to him. In most restaurants, you'd at least get a comped desert, drink or possibly even dinner. But nothing but a fast disappearing waiter. I was very disappointed in the service to say the least. I actually had to go to the mens room, remove my clothes and wring the water out of them before returning to the table. And no comp?

Yumm!!! Great environment, great service. Monty, our server, gave great recommendations! Super happy about our experience. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend for locals as well as out of towners looking for great food, service and atmosphere!!

We had a great experience here. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. Crab cakes were delicious. A lot of crab- not just breading or bread crumbs. dipping sauce was superb. My daughter had the bacon BBQ burger and tortilla soup- liked it very much. Service was quick and cheerful despite the late hour. I saw all the negative reviews but ended up here anyway after being ignored for 15 minutes at the check in desk of the silver star next door. Maybe this is a place that just had to hit its stride. Will definitely come back.

There are at least 65 dishes on the menu, a bad sign. We had to deflect the advances of the waiter twice in order to have time to parse them. My favorite category was "Artesian Pizzas". Apparently these pizzas just spontaneously spew forth under pressure from wells in the earth. The menu has had this egregious misspelling since they opened. Surely someone besides me has noticed it and mentioned it to them in that time. This leads me to believe that there are no true artisans working here, and no one really gives a shit. The 65 item menu becomes even more suspect. Our appetizer arrived promptly: "Korean Beef". It was indistinguishable from your run-of-the-mill canned-menu Mexican restaurant beef fajitas. It may have had a touch of soy sauce and ginger, but it was definitely served with flour tortillas. No Korean would claim it as their own unless they were starving under the thumb of Kim Jong-un, and he ordered them to. If I had been at a "Mexican" restaurant in a mall in North Dakota, it would have been barely passable. We then waited, and waited, and waited for our main dishes. The waiter came over and apologized, blaming it on a twenty top table nearby. Suspiciously, the restaurant was only about half full, twenty top included, and it was early in the evening. Our mains arrived, and we were underwhelmed. Bland preformed patties (again, no artisans here) and lackluster toppings. The grilled chiles, super special sauce, and half an avocado couldn't revive mine, although I did appreciate the lack of stinginess with the avocado. They could have been less stingy with the salt, though. The bun was almost perfect. Moist, chewy, crispy, and liberally buttered. This earned Con-Fusion Grille their second star. That, and the decent shoestring ries that they shook out of the bag labelled Sysco. The house special red pepper onion rings are just onion rings with burnt-black red pepper in the batter. Whee! My side salad consisted of brown-edged lettuce and the wrong dressing. If it was the right dressing, the "artesians" here have no idea what a pomegranate is. Perhaps they meant permanganate.

Although this restaurant got off to a rocky start, they seem to have found their groove. I have always had prompt, friendly service. The menu is a little overwhelming and I tend I stick with salads and sandwiches. The portions are ample and everything I have tried has been flavorful and freshly prepared. They offer plenty of Montana brews, a lengthy wine list and a full bar. If you haven't been in since the opened, give the Fusion another shot.

Had the cranberry harvest salad, without the chicken, and it was ok. I had brown portions of lettuce, which is unacceptable. I thought the food was overpriced and lacking. This is my third and last time here.

I have to update this review after going a few more times. They have appeared to work out most of the staffing kinks, although I've still never had stellar service here. I like their salads-the Harvest Cranberry Salad is great, as are the Thai salad options. This is still not my favorite spot in town, but it's definitely not the worst!

Wow . . . my second 1 star review ever (out of 196 at the time of writing) , , , Being back in Helena after a year, I asked my friends what was new in town. Fusion Grill was on the list, and while there were mixed reviews, I was intrigued about the idea of Asian fusion food, though definitely wary as my experiences with Asian food in Montana have definitely been . . . underwhelming. I didn't check Yelp before I went, which may have kept me away. Unlike the majority of the other reviews, I thought service was good. My server (Kenneth), did well, even though he was having to handle what appeared to be a large group (maybe a dozen) college age girls celebrating a birthday, as well as a few other table. Slightly delayed, and not as attentive as I'm sure he could have been if he didn't have so much to juggle, but prompt and reasonable. Space is large and modern, and I've heard some ridiculous dollar figures for the remodel, and they seemed unusually proud on their website of having a poured concrete bar. I hate to be an "okay for Helena" type, but poured concrete is not unusual these days, and even if you were the first in Helena, it seems odd that the bar is one of the the center points (even if it is the last, after food and wine). In any case, I was hungry - I hadn't eaten much, so I ordered the Korean Beef appetizer ("tender thinly sliced Korean marinated beef served with Jasmine rice", $12), and the Asian Miso Noodles with Ahi ("Sauteed vegetables in a fragrant miso broth and topped with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced scallions", $14 + $7) I'm Korean, and was expecting a mildly Westernized version of bulgogi, the traditional Korean marinated beef, with nice thin slices and a sweet soy/ginger/garlic marinade. I was thinking this should be okay, as there are plenty of pre-made marinades available now, even in the US. Instead, what I got was freaking beef fajitas with a side of rice and some paprika on top. I realize I'm in Montana, but adding white rice does not suddenly make food Asian. This was full on beef fajitas - chunks of beef with grilled bell peppers and onions, flour tortillas on the corners of the plate, and a bowl shaped mound of white rice. The only part that matched the menu description was that the beef was tender - rice was short grain, not Jasmine, beef was not thinly sliced, and there was definitely no Korean marinade. The miso noodles and ahi were more of the same. Udon noodles, some grilled ahi on top, and a miso broth with sauteed vegetables, and again, paprika. No sesame seeds or scallions to be seen. I'm not sure if they have a paprika fetish, but a bit of red color also does not make something "fusion". There was barely any miso flavor to the broth, and while Kenneth had asked me how I wanted the ahi (I was surprised to be asked, assuming it was going to be rare, and I just said rare), the seared ahi was definitely closer to a medium or medium well, basically tasting and having a mouth feel closer to canned tuna than lightly seared ahi. Was a bit surprised at the offering of fresh ground black pepper, and the garlic bread on the side - I mean really? Garlic bread and miso?!? Who in their right mind thinks those flavors are going to complement each other in any form!?!? Both dishes seemed like they contained frozen items, which I'm fine with, but not at the price point they're aiming at. In general, it seems I had some frozen beef fajitas, some udon with a bit of miso paste and slightly mushy frozen celery and carrots, and neither dish matching what the menu described. If I hadn't been famished, I probably wouldn't have finished either dish, but hunger won out over taste. Summary: pretty decor, okay service, but over-priced, low-quality food that didn't match what was on the menu

Other low ratings are spot on. The menu has way too many options and there is no main theme. The menu is also very hard to read. Some of the items sound good, but what we chose was very underwhelming. Burger had no seasoning, no flavor. I can do better myself at home...and isn't that one of the reason we go out to eat? To enjoy food that outperforms our own abilities!? Also, every menu item is overpriced for the quality. We tried the seafood mac and cheese for $24 and again, I could make a better one at home. Where was all the seafood!? The service was decent, good beer menu. But overall just a bland, lackluster restaurant that I won't spend my money at a second time. And a tip for the owner's...hire a professional photographer to take a picture of your restaurant for the front of your menu! The one you have has your sign and outdoor seating in the shade and it looks like my 3 year old daughter took with with her fisher price phone camera.

I've been there four times in past couple years, and I've noticed that food and service is really inconsistent. A few months ago had great service and a fantastic steak. Last night I had terrible service and rubbery overcooked salmon. Wait staff needs training.

Food is fine. It's Helena after all and one can not expect much from restaurants here. Service still isn't up to par. Seems management can not train it's staff to understand how to wait on tables.

I will not be back. I've tried because it was a convenient place to go after meetings, but after my last experience, no more. 3 other friends and I went in for a quick snack and cocktails, and I recovered my drink promptly. My poor friends, on the other hand, were still waiting for their cocktails 40 minutes later. I asked two servers and the hostess if everything was ok, and no one had a straight answer. We asked for more bread with our appetizer, as we were sharing, and that took an additional 15 minutes. I had to go, and was going to say something g to the manager, but couldn't find him, so I called on my way home. I told him who our server was, that there were 3 women sitting at a high top by the window, and he asked what table number they were at. I've never worked here, so I didn't know what specific table number they were located at, but I figured with my specific Instructions he could figure it out. I expected to hear he went and apologized and maybe comped something, but my friends told me he came over, asked if they needed anything else, and left the table without another word, and didn't return. It would have been nice to have another restaurant option, but this is not it

The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2 is because the happy hour rocks! 24 oz. beer for $2.75. Pretty sweet. And, there are some good servers. The food is good, but it's slow and overpriced. So, I came to Fusion a few times with my parents over the past couple years. The food was always good, though slow, and I had no impression of anything being that great, or that bad, or that amiss. Though I'll say that the Flatbread pizzas are gross (I think) But then something happened and I ended up at Fusion 3 times in one week, all at different times. This is an interesting concept for reviewing! :) I will say - the food was good every time. I had the Fish & Chips once (my favorite thing here, they have AWESOME fries! The little skinny crispy ones that some places insist on calling "pommes frites," lol), the caramel thai chicken (good, but not worth the price), and the Italian Sausage Sandwich for lunch one day (which was insanely good). You may be asking yourself (as the attentive reader I know you are), "If the food was good, why are there only 3 stars?!" You may be shaking your head with worry, never fear. I shall explain. The reason there are only 3 stars despite the relatively good food is because the service sucks. Each meal we had there (including lunch, where I had a sausage, and my lunch partner had a hamburger) took OVER 1.5 hours! Especially for lunch that is way too slow. Here is a major red flag that really knocked off a whole star on its own: one time I ordered a beer, and it took soooooo long to get it, I CANCELED THE BEER ORDER! You may not know me, but trust me - it takes a LOT for me to cancel a beer order. I had literally been waiting on that beer for 30 minutes. My food came before the drink. So, another reason I'm pretty unhappy is that I actually took the time to write to Fusion, and although I did get a response, I was disappointed with it. While the guy was nice and relatively apologetic, he kept on badgering me about who the servers were. I told him I didn't think it was the servers fault, and he kept on me about it, promising there wouldn't be a "witch hunt." He kept saying he wanted to give me a gift certificate to apologize for my experience, but that never materialized. Eventually after his 2nd time of being on me about who my server was, I quit responding and he never wrote again (Especially not with any gift certificate). So, overall, this place is not the best managed place. Good service can save bad food to an extent, and stuff is just too slow here. The food is good, but not worth the prices or the wait. But, I'll keep coming back for happy hour, the beer is too cheap to pass up! :)

First I have to say this is the first time I have rated a restaurant while never having eaten at the actual restaurant. I come to Helena regularly for business by myself so tend to order in. A month ago, I decided to order the Harvest Cranberry salad as it sounded decent. OMG! Hands down, easily the best salad I have ever eaten in my entire life. The flavors were so delicious..just the right amount of tangy and sweet. The chicken was so tender and the warm dinner roll was amazing. Back in Helena tonight and thought I would see if it would be as good as the first time around. The only difference was instead of ranch dressing, I ordered citrus pomegranate....even better! A++++ I might have to order something else next time just to see what other delight I will get but if you are reading this review and want a phenomenal salad, get the harvest cranberry!

Seems I should have read the reviews first... I was out exploring my new home and this place caught my eye. I wanted a steak, but the silver star seemed to be out of my price range, so I went to the Fusion. The waitress was great, service was slow, food was not as good as what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was great, but not good enough for me to return

  • Dana M.

The very, very painfully slow service answered the question for us as to why this place was empty. While there were 3 or 4 tables on the patio area enjoying the sunny weather, we were the ONLY table indoors during the typical lunch hour, and yet the service on all levels was poor. Slow to ask for our order and we had to ask, after half an hour of sitting at our table, that our salads be brought out (they usually come with the meals we were told, not the usual routine at most restaurants). Our server even had to come back and confirm with my dining partner what exactly he'd ordered. This place is in a busy business district, with lots of potential customers working in the surrounding area, and apparently they have all already figured out that your typical one hour lunch time allotment is just not feasible at this place, so they go elsewhere. I will now put this place so far down on my list of possible choices as to quite possibly never visit again. Which is a shame because the bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich was actually quite good. But any restaurant is one part service, one part product, your meal, and if you fail on either of these you are failing as a business. I expect to see a new business in there by this time next year.

  • Dawn S.

I don't understand the negative reviews at all. I've eaten there since they opened. My service was always great, atmosphere is awesome and the food is delicious. I recommend it highly to anyone who asks. Obviously I haven't tried everything on the menu, but everything I have tried was delicious. The fact that they now have a full bar even raises it up a notch for me. Nothing like a dirty martini before dinner!

I am absolutely horrified every time I go there. There are way too many staff members walking around seeming to not be doing anything. Food is cliche and overpriced. The whole restaurant needs a makeover and a serious cleaning.

"Lightly Breaded Tilapia" code for "awesome meal, thoughtfully prepated, coupled with native Montana beers recommended by our knowledgeable and attentive server" great place! Near theaters, plenty of parking nearby. Yum!

The decor is very nice, the room is large and with a high ceiling. My meal was quite good, I ordered an Asian salad with udon noodles, very good grilled chicken and a hoisan vinaigrette dressing. It was really good. The service was very bad, I waited a long time for my meal, and after I was served my waitress never came by to refill my drink

I was sooooo hopeful and was wanting to like this place. My first visit was awesome - quick service and my food was fresh - actually, one of the best salads I've had in quite some time. This visit took place around 4:15 p.m. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was over before it started. My second visit, around 5:30 pm went something like this: - took a long time to get seated - there were no other parties waiting - once seated, it took even longer to get menu's - the waitress did not come around for what seemed like forever. - then, the wait for the food was painful - my fingers were starting to look good - once the food arrived, my salad (first time was awesome), came looking all kinds of sad. The greens were not chilled and the grilled chicken was chewy. Not impressed. I wasn't impressed the rest of that day or the day after, as I was sick to my stomach after eating here. Note to management: Get it together. You are sitting on a gold mine - excellent location and excellent atmosphere. Your wait staff needs to get organized, as does the kitchen. There needs to be consistency with your service and with your food - good consistency; not bad. If you can't make it happen, maybe Robert Irvine can help. And for the record, the server's assistants/bus staff, were the only ones that were really on top of their game this last visit. Maybe they need to run the show.

Great food, but terrible, slow service! The pecan crusted mahi-mahi was very tasty! As was the seafood mac and cheese. But the service was deplorable! I've never had a waitress leave in the middle of taking our order to run to the kitchen to get food for another table, until last night!! And after our food was served we never saw the waitress again! No check-in, no drink refills, and I had to track down the manager to run my card! Not impressed!!

Folks, don't waste your precious time or money here. Though the food is OK, the wait staff remains severely lacking. Our party of 6 made a reservation & we were seated promptly. The first set of orders from the bar arrived timely. Sadly, we had to flag down down the waiter more than once to come back to the table to place a 2nd order. And....still no drinks. When we politely reminded him if this, he took offense & barked out "I put the order in!". I could sympathize with this had we not been waiting 25 minutes for said order. The food itself was good, though not spectacular, as we have noted with past visits. Our party split the cost 3 ways & went on our merry way. Imagine our surprise when each card holder of our party was contacted the following day & told that they didn't charge us enough. I kid you not. We had a poor excuse of a waiter, who apparently needs to work on his math skills as much as he does common courtesy. When my husband offered the supervisor our opinion of the service, not a thing was said or done to try & compensate us in any way. This is probably the 4th time we have given this place a chance, due to one pleasant experience we have had here. Unfortunately, we will not try again. We'd prefer to give our money to a business that appreciates their customers & works to ensure customer satisfaction.

I had a great lunch at the Fusion about a month ago. Had a lunch special which was basically a jazzed up French dip on flatbread- it was fantastic! My lunch partner had the same and was equally impressed. Our service was fine, we had our food in quick order and I look forward to going again. I personally don't mind the atmosphere, and frankly it's a nice change of pace to go someplace that isn't totally adorned with same old 'wild west, wooden look'.

Despite the poor ratings, four of us heard the fish fry was pretty good. We gave it a try and discovered we should trust the ratings. Each plate we received had three small pieces of tasteless cod, with lots of batter surrounding it, for $12.95. We had a choice of one side: French fries, salad, or soup. Maybe they want you to buy a dessert to fill up your stomach. I was still so hungry I went home and made a double sandwich. So, I guess it's live and learn, or trust the YELP ratings.

Food was not so great. Seemed like a Costco shopping list gone wrong. Fish tacos seemed like oven warmed fish sticks inside a cold shell. Sweet potato fries are really greasy more like a soup then fries.

Went here for lunch and sat on the patio. I had a salad, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his Caribbean chicken sandwich. A lot of the reviews mentioned terrible service, so I was a little wary, but the service was fantastic. I had special requests, and the sever took the time to understand if I was gluten-free or vegan or allergic (vegan :) ) and I appreciated that! He took the time to introduce us to the server who would be taking over for him, and he was so nice! I would come back here for sure, especially for the wine and the great-looking bar.

My experiences at the Fusion Grill have been incredibly different from the ones I'm seeing here. I've been twice in the last month, once for lunch and once for dinner. The service was great, at dinner we even got to chat with the owner. I really enjoyed both of the dishes that I tried. My husband LOVES their lunch menu and we'll be going again soon. The room is a bit loud when it fills up, but I have very poor hearing so that might be part of the problem. Our food came out quickly both times and it was delicious. Our dinner took about 70 minutes, however we ordered an appetizer, entrees, and then desserts and coffee. I waited a long time to try the fusion grill because of the poor reviews. Don't make the same mistake I did and give this place a chance.

The fact that this place is new does not mean customers should have to put up with bad service. I dropped in on a Sunday afternoon, not having read anything about the place and not knowing anything about the menu or pricing due to the fact that they don't have a menu posted by the door. The prices drove me to simply order a bowl of soup off the appetizer menu, followed by a dessert. That's it. An appetizer and dessert for one person (both the sort of things that I would assume are pre-made and would only need to be dished out and, in the case of the dessert, heated up), and I sat at the bar right next to where the waitstaff did most of their milling around. So why did it take an hour and a half for me to get back out of there?? When the waitpeople actually came over and acknowledged me, they were polite and refilled my water glass (and I got to have a sample of the soup before buying it, which convinced me - it really was delicious), but they rarely did so. I waited fifteen minutes after finishing my soup for anyone to come by and offer to bring me a check or another course, and then another ten or fifteen after finishing my dessert before I got the check and was privileged to wait around for them to run my card. Part of the cause of the slow service was probably my waiter being too busy chatting with a personal acquaintance eating lunch at the other end of the bar to do his job. Meanwhile, another worker came by and hocked a loogie into the wastebasket on the service side of the bar, right in front of me, while I was eating. Yeeeeeah, and somehow the customers should feel obligated to overlook these "teething troubles" and nurse this place to success? I don't think so.

Prices are high, atmosphere seemed thrown together, only beer and wine, and the service SUCKED, My boyfriend and I tried to have a drink and app at Fusion on Wednesday after Alive at 5. We took an open spot at the bar then waited 10 minutes to even get a hello, we waited another 10 to get a drink - which I needed a straw and some sweetener for - our server Todd (previously worked at the Brewhouse) did not come back for another 10 minutes and asked if we wanted something to eat - we replied we did and he said he would be right back - we waited another 10 minutes and he never came back - just helped other customers right in front of us that had come AFTER us, so we gave up and left. I will never go again and do not recommend it. We went across the street to the Silver Star and had great food, a full bar and wonderful service.

The first thing that came to mind was an airport restaurant--lots of menu selections, none of which (at least that our party of 4 ordered) were anything to take note of, nondescript atmosphere, mediocre service, and televisions everywhere inside for no particular reason. I think the problem here is that the place is trying to do too much, and ends up doing none of it well. My husand's lobster Mac was tasteless (very poor quality cheese), my yellowfin was uninteresting with a side of veggies drenched in oil, and the appetizer our table got was 4 shrimp with a huge serving of rice, which has no place in an appetizer. This place is exceptionally unexceptional. The restaurant would be better off choosing one thing and doing it well than having a 4-page menu with nothing better than what I could do at home. If you're interested in going, go now. I don't expect this place to last.

This is perhaps the WORST restaurant I have ever been too. I was not surprised to see the other reviews complaining about service. We had to wait a long time, for drinks, to place an order, and most of all - food. We were initially told that the kitchen was backed up, and it would take a while for our food - the restaurant was not even half full!! I ordered a salad for dinner, and it never did arrive. Our inept waitress gave me story after story as to why it was not out. Once everyone else was finished with their meals, my salad still had not arrived. Once again, the inept waitress informed me that the kitchen was boxing up the salad, and that she was sorry, blah, blah. A different server brought my salad out on a plate as we were walking out the door. Unreal. Save your time and money and do not bother going to this place!

I'm in Helena on business, and so far I haven't had all that much luck finding places I like, but I would chose to come here again. My coworker and I came here for dinner on a Monday night, deciding on this place rather than the one across the street because the menu sounded more distinct. We sat down and got our orders in fairly quickly, and the wait was just approaching too long when our entrees arrived. He ordered a salmon dish with mashed potatoes and what looked like a steamed vegetable medley (squash, some other things). I ordered the avocado chipotle cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. I would have opted for soup, but the daily choices didn't sound that great. I didn't miss it, though - the burger was cooked to the doneness I asked for and was pretty darn good. It was spicy but not unbearably so, and though the bun was a tad soggy when it came out, the burger was flavorful. My coworker said that his salmon and mashed potatoes were delicious, too. In the end, a good dining experience with no egregious problems.

Delicious vegetarian mushroom burger. Nice selection of salads. Great service. Temperature inside was a little chilly with the air conditioning and a little cool outside in the shade. Will take a sweater next time.

Walked in on a Saturday night, there were 5 tables taken...pretty dead. My girlfriend sister and myself sat down at 6:30, ten minutes later we were greeted by our "server" I just ordered water because I didn't have my ID on me. We ordered an app, took a half hour to come out, during that time our "server" never acknowledged us. After we got our appetizer he took our order (all three of us had to repeat our orders several times), at which point my sister ordered a beer and didn't get carded, so I ordered one too, and didn't get carded. Seriously?! We're in our early 20's?! (22&23) ten minutes latter we get our beers, and then wait endlessly for our food...or should i say someone else's food. The server gave me the wrong plate, and gave my sister her food but called it something that it was not. The food was not great. Fries were cold, as were my onion rings. The place was thrown together, not a lot planning went into the design, and it shows. Fusion Grille, get your act together. Over all crap experience.
