The waiting staff is fantastic, but I've ordered a medium steak two times and had to send it back both times at least twice. So don't order the steak unless you want charbroiled or completely rare.

They have a some what new menu. The new tablets on each table are not a good idea for a kid friendly place. One touch and they are automatically ordering from your table. The tablets should have alock on them for just games, Oh and they automatically charge you $1.99 just to touch the thing. Not good. the food was good. I tried the new tacos and we had the fajitas also. Looks like the sides for the fajitas got way smaller. The burgers for the kids got smaller also. We might not be back

Food was freezing when my wife got it, and when we asked for them to heat it up, they brought it back turning into chacoal on the hot plate. Also if you get the server named Bridger, I recommend asking for a different server. He is nice and all, but you'd have more luck getting a drink in the Sahara.

545pm -Ordered food for our family of 4 online for chilis to go. They said it would take 20 minutes so we took the 15 minute drive to town to pick up our meal. We went in and the bartender ask us if we were the family that had 'so many modifications' on our order. We ask for extra cheese, bacon, and chives on one order of potatoes. She then told us she had no idea how long the kitchen would take to finish our order. As we waited a waiter came up and ask her for a few drinks for his table. Bitchy she told him she's not making them. It is now 655pm and we are leaving now that our baby is screaming in the car. Thank you, Chilis for your shitty staff and hungry bellys.

Being a veteran, I invited my cousin and her family to join mine there for dinner on Veteran's Day 2014. The waiting area is small, but was able to sit down...we waited 57 mins until we finally got to our table which was not fully wiped down. Our hostess brought us all our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and our meal. We did not receive our appetizer until 45 mins after the order, and then about 15 mins later we received our meal. We still did not have our silverware nor refills on our drinks. All the food was warm except the FRIES! Anyway...the experience was not the best for dinner. I have enjoyed the lunches there before because they were fast and within budget. Dinner....not so much.

The biggest problem that we have here in inconsistency with the food and when you order food to take out. One day we can go in and the food is prepared one way then we can go in the next day and order the same thing and it is different. When we have office meetings we order from them and 8 out of 10 times the order is wrong and we don't have time to run back and have it fixed. The staff has always been very pleasant and great to us. if it wasn't for the problems i listed above I would have rated them a 4.

Stopped by on Labor Day evening for a Chili's "2 for $20 plus an appetizer" special. Past visits have been pretty good, so our expectations were high. The simple appetizer we ordered was tostados and salsa. What we got was stunning: greasy tostados dripping with oil and salsa that looked like tomato juice. How can a restaurant screw up an appetizer so bad? When I brought that information to my waitresses attention, she just took the appetizer back to the kitchen. The fajitas I ordered were quite hot and the pork portion was very good; the chicken was bland and rubbery. My wife's Mango Salsa Tilapia was hot and NOT so good. The spicy sauce overpowers the fish's flavor and spoiled her meal. The service was good, but I get tired of being called "You guys" over and over. I can assure you and the waitress, my wife is not a guy.

Chili's is always great! The food & the service. They are also very fast on their carry-out orders. Everything on the menu is good, from burgers to fajitas. They also have a large variety of drinks. Sunday's are 1/2-off well drinks and appetizers. It's the best day to go!!

My family ate at Chili's in Helena last weekend while we were in town for my daughter's cheerleading competition. It was a Friday night, so we knew it would likely be busy. Our wait was about 20 minutes (not bad), our server was new (his 2nd night). I'll cut the server some slack since he was newer, but there were forgotten drinks, one of my daughter's got her food before our appetizer came, then the appetizer, then the rest of our food. It was very confusing. The appetizer we ordered was the smallest batch of sweet potato fries I've ever seen. My kids' food was good (lots of choices on the kids menu). My slider burgers were burned on one side of the patty. There was random grill crusties on the patty. My husband ordered ribs and said the fries had more seasoning than the ribs did. I think we were taken for a ride because of the advertising. Sorry, Chili's. Not impressed.

I've eaten here a couple of times and one thing I can definitely say is that they are never consistent. One day I can walk in and get immediate service, other times I wait forever before even seeing the hostess or being greeted at all. Sometimes we get a clean table, other times we get a sticky table that, when wiped with a napkin, leaves behind brown gunk on the napkin. Sometimes we get good service that is perfectly timed and other we receive our dinner before our appetizer ever arrives. Sometimes the food is well-cooked and hot, other times it is over-cooked and cold. How they manage that, I don't know. My recommendation would be to turn around and walk out at the first sign of trouble so you don't end up paying for a miserable experience.

Because Chili's Bar & Grill is a chain I expected their food to at least be consistent, however I have to say I'm rather disappointed with the Chili's in Helena. I usually expect a cookie-cutter experience from Chili's however it was below the bar even for such a big chain. It took 10 minute before we were brought water, the menus and table top were sticky, and the food wasn't served hot. I had to flag down the waiter twice before my water was refilled and my salad, which I requested to have before the meal was brought to me 5 minutes after I was served my over cooked salmon and it was in a warm bowl. The service in inconsistent at its best and the food is mediocre. I have given this Chili's three changes and they have earned their third strike. I will not be returning.

We've usually had good experiences at other Chilis, this one was not good at all. Our order was "to go". From now on we will always check the food before leaving. The ribs I ordered were dry like jerky and they left out the quesadillas for the quesadilla explosion salad my wife ordered. The southwest egg rolls were nasty and looked like they may have been under a warming light for most of the day! I've never been more disappointed. I will never go back to this Chilis in Helena, but we will definitely try other Chilis. If we had checked our orders before leaving there is no way we would ever have paid for that. Quite honestly I kept thinking "Those rat b@st@rds!"
