Honestly everything about the place is just mediocre. The food, service and decor is just plain and basic. Would not recommend this place!

Came here for dnner and was not incredibly impressed with the food, but enjoyed the drinks selections and the atmosphere. You can eat out on the patio which overlooks a duck pond or you can eat inside which is more like a sports bar. I found the appetizers to be pretty good but overall it was pretty much ordinary.

We travel to Hamilton, MT 1-2 times per year and like to try out the different restaurants while visiting. We stumbled upon The Edge and we were drawn to it as you can overlook the water during your meal. The ambiance was very nice. The food was good too. No complaints, and would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a place to eat.

One of the WORST places to eat in the Bitterroot Valley or anywhere for that matter. Recently "treated" 6 out of town guests to lunch. None could finish their food. Horrible. And even if the quality were good the menu is total mediocrity. It is tough to find decent places to eat in Montana, but this place just isn't worth the effort.

A Sports Bar in Hamilton, MT? Ok. Very mediocre food and service. Nice, if not dated and dark atmosphere. I had a Caesar Salad w/ Chicken - it was ok. Wife enjoyed the Pot Roast. Most enjoyable part of the experience was the company - which we brought in! Still, a place where you can enjoy company is not all that bad. I would come back if I was staying at the hotel next door, did not have a car, and I was hungry. Now, the liquor store in (or next to) the restaurant is REALLY impressive. They have everything and anything you could ever want, beautifully displayed. Fun to look around, even though I'm not a drinker.

If deep-fried pickles are on a menu, we almost always order them, so we've have them more times than is probably good for us. The version at The Edge was one of our favorites ever. Pickles were sliced thick enough that they didn't disintegrate in the heat of the fryer, and the batter wasn't too thick or too thin. Overall, they had good flavor and balance. I had to think for a few minutes to remember what else I ordered. It was a salad, but I can't recall any specifics about it. The menu was light on meat/dairy-free options. Also, the attached liquor store has a great selection and super helpful staff.

Well, to be honest, I'm writing this review 4 whiskey and cokes later. The deep fried pickles are definitely the best and closest to the the ones they serve in the Midwest. Tip: they taste best with honey mustard. I wasn't entirely hungry, so I ordered the potato skins appetizer as an entree and it was okay - about the same you could make at home with the same ingredients, nothing too special. My husband ordered the filet mignon and the steak itself was tiny, I would say 4-6 oz and there was a baked potato and a tbls of corn to accompany it. For the price, I would've expected more. Also, the waitress failed to bring him his salad that accompanied the steak. I didn't really enjoy the preseason baseball on TV, not because I don't enjoy baseball, but because the captioning wasn't on and I couldn't hear the tv over the restaurant noise. All in all, except for the waitress forgetting my husband's salad, she was fairly attentive, making sure my whiskey was filled and everything else I needed was there. I would definitely eat here again if given the chance. I only missed the lakefront view because it was after dusk and the shades were drawn. I hope I get a chance to shop the wine store the next time I'm there. They seemed to have quite the selection. Also, the casino gets an A+, because although I lost $20, my husband put in $20 and won well over $100. Dinner paid!

Worst dinner experience, even the cocktail was too viscous to consume! We were brought half a loaf of bread for four people, one entree was missing it's side dish. When we were brought our salads the waitress started to walk away, I stopped her and asked if we may all have silverware, her response, " it's going to be a few minutes on silverware because we need to roll some more".....hahahaha epic!!! seriously worst restaurant

The Edge has always been very consistent with really good food. The menu has something for everyone. Personally, I like the burgers and the Taco Salad. It's a great place to go if you want to watch a sports event. I count 12 TVs! Service is also excellent. You can't go wrong at The Edge!

Probably the classiest and best of the sport bars in the Bitterroot Valley. Very comfortable, large bar and seating area and there is a casino in one part and a very well-stocked liquor store in another. I especially like the bartenders and staff. They are energetic, friendly want to meet and generally know you and their attitude lends a casual, but in-control feel to the place. Great for lunches and they regularly have dinner specials. Outdoor seating is very fine in the summer as it is quiet and you sit taking in the Bitterroot Mountains. There is a very handsome fireplace in the dining area which is REALLY nice in the dark winter season. You will enjoy the total Edge experience without worry about tough drunks or a "regular" crowd that will stare you down. The Edge is everyone's place.

We ate at the Edge last night with some friends after a day of fishing. One of the best things, there was a big screen TV with the Chicago Bulls playing the Nuevo (New) York Knicks - no sound, but that was fine! Jack is a huge bulls fan (he was born and raised in Chicago) and he could indiscreetly (sort of) watch the game. As a sports bar, the noise level was surprisingly quiet, very nice. Our group had a lot to discuss and the waitress kept us "in" drinks and patiently waited for us to order dinner. We had Chicken Marsala, double patty Chili Burger - huge, Filet of Sole crusted with almonds, and Chicken Blue burger - great blue cheese sauce. And, sweet potato fries. All the dinners were very good but the Filet of Sole was the star...who would have thought. One waitress, we called her Shanaynay (a joke - she was awesome). She handled the whole bar area and was always on task, pleasant - not just pleasant, she was hilariously fun and funny, and did a super job. Really fun experience, good food and we left happy as larks. We will be back. The atmosphere was wonderful, and they have a huge wine store in the front, tons of wines...I need to spend some time in the wine shop soon.

Nice clean sports bar / restaurant. Very casual and plenty of tv's. Good burgers and sandwiches. The only thing they need to hook up a little more is the dinner salads. So small and pathetic. The ranch is good though.

The reason i give this place 2 stars instead of one is because it has nice atmosphere. (the seats are a little outdated) but an over all "ok" place i think it is a little pricey for what it is. especially since it is now a complete sports bar and grill instead of an actual restaurant. best thing on the menu is the fried pickles.

Great bar, and decent basic everyday food. You won't be amazed but you won't be pissed either.

we had so much fun here! the cocktails were strong and they kept 'em coming. my husband never had an empty beer. there's also a wine store with some great regional and not so regional wines. service was friendly and fast and everyone seemed to like their job. i wish i could go back!

Awesome place, great views on the back patio, friendly staff. Make sure you say Howdy to Kim the Bartender.
