Wow. I LOVE this place!! Their special of the day on Sunday is fried chicken. I LOVE CHICKEN! Though it wasn't the best (coating was bland) it had a fantastic crunch and the chicken itself was juicy and tender. I cannot say enough about the service. I felt like I was down south or something. Our server (an adorable plump woman) called us all hun and bent over backwards to make is feel at home...and we are not needy customers! I just wanted to HUG her. Always a smile on her face. Though I was stuffed I just had to try their pie and it didn't disappoint! We took a slice of apricot and a slice of cherry to go (we were gonna eat it there, but I guess I server was being proactive and packed it up for us). They were both DELICIOUS. The next time we're in town, this is going to be a place I will make a point to stop at again. Really... I could see myself being a regular. GREAT little restaurant!!

Kathy & her crew (including her very friendly husband) are amazing!!!!!!!! Humbly housed in what was once an old A&W location, this little gem of a breakfast & lunch spot serves up some darn good food!!! (pardon my language) I live in the Bay Area & was visiting for new years with my Belov'ed. I can easily say that I havent found a place in the Bay with as much good, home made food made & served with as much love & friendliness yet here. Point taken i hope. We stopped there (based on a decision from consulting this here Yelp app searching by what was open & rating fyi) on our way out the last day so as to strap on the feed-bags for a much needed full belly on what we heard was an unusually cold & snowy Montanian day. I knew what i wanted almost immediately: two of everything! But no really, I had a mad hankering for the chicken fried steak breakfast, as well as a side of bacon, and some biscuits & gravy; I know what you're thinking: OINK!!! Well, lucky for me that Kathy is an absolute dear whom very warmly consulted me with a sage & understanding glimmer in her eye that i "could very easily add a half order of bacon and one biscuit and gravy to the chicken fried steak." This was perfect as she sensed immediately wha what be fair fir me to order since it would have otherwise been a TON of food that i wouldnt have been able to finish: She really knows her stuff & knows what you want before you do in a way! LOVE IT! The sign of an impeccable & seasoned owner in my opinion! Beside being just an absolutely charming Lady of course ; ) . So, i had a couple bites of bacon & a few of the biscuit left that i took with me which i gobbled up a but later. I regret however not having ordering one of the very special-sounding specials of the day: the PASTIE! (Which i learned is pronounced "PAH-stee" not "PÄ€Y-stee" fyi) which is homemade from scratch by the owner, Kathy herself! NEXT TIME!! : D Also, they make their own chokecherry syrup which, even though they were out of it to sell at that moment, (they were making more) Kathy's husband and the very lovely server, whose name escapes me, rustled some up so that Belov'ed & I could have a taste! SO! GOOOOD!!! Even though this is, general speaking, a typical & literal mom n pop diner (which are my absolute favorite spots by the way so do not be confused!), this place serves up the service & the food in a manner that you can see & taste & feel: a lot of obvious experience & love is on this place & i highly recommend it!! Chat up all of the warm peole who work there & order up! You wont be disappointed! Kathy wont allow it! I just know it! I cant wait to come back!! Thank you so much all there for a great late breakfast!!!

It's ok, but nothing special. It's breakfast. There are better restaurants but it's cheap enough and the staff is friendly. They could put together a kids menu though. that would be nice.

Went here on a whim while driving through town on Easter. Thankfully it was one of the few places open and it didn't disappoint. The food was greasy-griddle good and the staff was sweet. Prices were very affordable for what they were offering as well. Great job Lippi's!

Casually driving around town, you might pass by this gem-of-a-restaurant, which can easily go unnoticed in this district packed with small business locations. Lippy's Restaurant is a "mom-and-pop" style restaurant intricately decorated with knick-knacks along the interior, giving it a comfortable homelike feeling. The servers were friendly and jovial; reminded me of the diner from the TV show "Rosanne"; complete with the sarcasm and gossip that one would expect in a small town diner. There were several regular customers that were cheerfully greeted by name, who ordered their "regular" entrees. I ordered a veggie omelette with cheese and hash browns, which were delicious and not heavily cooked in oil like most restaurant servings. My father ordered a Western Omelette- this man who is known to only speak when necessary said, "THIS is a GOOD omelette!" I was highly impressed by their selection of homemade pies, which can be ordered whole or by the slice. I didn't try the pies, unfortunately, but they looked delicious! Next time you're craving homemade comfort foods, this is the place to go!

I was really excited to try this place as all the reviews we read were positive. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, when our food arrived my french toast was cold and omelet had a hair in it. When the waitress brought the new omelet out, she said she didn't know how a black hair got into my food since no one there has black hair. I felt like she was insinuating it was my hair. Considering the hair was underneath the cheese, and I noticed it as soon as she set the plate down there was no way it was mine. We only go through Great Falls about once a year, so we probably won't go back. Super disappointed.

No kids menu, great diner food, waitresses are nice.

I'm not going to lie, this place looks sketch as hell from the outside, but the inside is like a thousand other diners or cafes like I grew up with. Clean and kitschy. The staff (waitress team of one) was pleasant and helpful. I had the Mexican breakfast burrito, which was good, but heavily American-ized. Portion size was good. The hash browns were done right, and on the whole it was a good breakfast. The coffee was better than I could've ever guessed. Most dives like this have horrible coffee, but not this place... The coffee was fantastic.

We were looking for a local breakfast place and were disappointed. The service was very slow. The cheese in my omelette was just slices of processed swiss cheese. This pancakes were crumbly and undercooked. Did not offer regular coffee refills. The waitress did try to make up for the slow service by giving our kids a fruit plate.

Breakfast here is simple but delicious. Portion sizes are good and the atmosphere is friendly. The outside isn't very appealing but that's the only thing negative to say about this cute little diner!

I highly recommend Lippis. Great, fresh hot food. The day that I was there the special was battered Walleye! No kidding. It was fresh, hot and tasty. The place is spotless clean and the folks are really friendly.

Great Family restaurant! If you like soup this is the place to go. Hands down the best Tomato Soup in town. Try one of their Croissant sandwiches (like egg salad or crab) with a cup of soup and coffee for just the right lunch. They have different specials each day. My only complaint is that they close at 3:00 so no dinner.

Good food, great service but the portions have gotten skimpy. My husband ordered one pancake for $2.50, thinking it would be the usual plate size but it turned out to be a small 4 incher! Good thing he didn't order two for $5.00 ! I had the two eggs with bacon and hashbrowns and toast. Hashbrowns portion was about a cups worth and I doubted that the toast was buttered. Prices go up and portions go down...not good folks.
