Good restaurant. Ordered a southern fried steak. It had way too much gravy but tasted good. If you're driving by it's worth a stop.

I never thought the words chicken fried steak would ever pass my lips until I went here. After trying someone elses order I was hooked. Of course I always order the gravy on the side, because lets be honest, MT has a heavy hand. It's kind of a dumpy little mom and pop shop type of place, but the servers are generally very nice and the food is more than reasonably priced. You will always go home with leftovers as well.

Just ok, I had the daily special, scalloped potatoes. Just like mom used to make, mom's weren't that good either.

Good food, large portions. Orange juice tastes like it was freshly squeezed. Sourdough and rye toast were excellent. (For you mad toast lovers.) a little chilly inside, so if you get cold easily, wear a jacket.

My husband and I stayed overnight on our cross-country move. There really isn't anything else for food here, except Subway down the street. We both ordered the shrimp burger, which I'd never seen been and was curious about. It was pretty darn good! Fries were good, too. Our food was to go, as we wanted to rest at the hotel with our puppies. Took no more then ten minutes. The girl who took our order was real sweet.

Heading to our destination four hours away and hungry beyond belief, we ventured a break and possible beef jerky purchase in Glendive, Montana. There stood CC's Family Cafe, one of those beckoning off-highway restaurants in small towns you hope fulfill your nostalgic need for good food in a place that is not a fast food chain. Although we sat for quite a while before we were given water or greeted (about five full minutes), and although it took quite some more time before our server returned to take out order, the uncomfortable wait turned into a small him-cup once we recovers out food. In a world of exceptionally high-priced and thin uninspiring sandwiches, CC's triple decker club and cold roast beef sandwich were exceptional in quality, flavor, and presentation. My husband's triple decker club was piled with thicker cut ham and turkey with two types of cheese and thick, perfectly cooked and bacon. The bread was tasty and fresh with mayo on the side and his choice of sides, which in his case were crispy hot fries. This plate cost about $10.95. I opted for the cold roast beef sandwich on eye with a side salad for .$50 more. The sandwich was very large but not outrageous. Piled just perfectly was a good quality med-rate sliced beef rather than the fatty flavorless grizzly beef you get most places these days. Cheese, lettuce, and tomato finished the belly of this Sammie. The rye bread was a soft, flavorful marble and the mayo was delivered on the side--not that my sandwich or my husband's for that matter needed any sort of condiment. So delicious were these sandwiches that additional condiments seemed unnecessary crowding. My side salad (for an extra $.50 remember, was a decent size house salad that alone would have satisfied me and that came well built with lettuce, cheese, carrots, grape tomatoes, sunflower seeds, radish, bean sprouts, and croutons. This was a welcome change for me from the typical two ounce side salad with lettuce and perhaps a small slice of tomato you typically get for $2.00 extra with your sandwich. My sandwich listed for $8.99 plus an additional $.50 to substitute the salad. My husband also ordered a chocolate milkshake that was delicious and also a good solid size at $3.59. CC's decor is along the lines of a traditional but comfortable family cafe, the likes of which are hard to find anymore, especially on road trips. To add to the charm, the walls are lined with photos of Miss Montana winners over the years. This was a happy accident, and as we continue our journey with out leftovers out of reach in our cooler, we continue to talk about the quality of this food and look forward to satisfying our craving with these leftovers for dinner. We strongly recommend you stop at CC's Family Restaurant.

The staff was friendly, and quick. I had the lemon peppercorn salad and hubby had the rib eye. The salad had fresh ingredients, the meat was seasoned well, and cooked as specified. There was so much salad dressing it was dripping from each bite, and filled the bottom of the giant bowl. The dressing wasn't like any raspberry vinaigrette I've ever seen. It was the consistency of pie filling. The rib eye was over 50% unchewable gristle. He normally likes the flavoring of the fat and some gristle but he couldn't power through it.

This is a great option for dinner if you're staying at the Holiday Inn. It's clearly popular with the locals, and I could see why. The menu offers a huge variety - some healthy options, and plenty of comfort food. As you can see from the photos I posted, I was most definitely NOT on a health kick during my week in Glendive. I visited CC's three times, and tried three different things: the pork sandwich, the chicken fried steak and eggs, and the hot hamburger. My favorite was the steak and eggs, though it really is enough food for three meals. As one of your side options, definitely opt for those three dollar cakes. Those pancakes (along with the mashed potatoes that come with the hot hamburger) were real standouts. I would skip the fried pork sandwich. For fried pork, veggies, cheese etc, it was still pretty bland. I actually added salt. The hot hamburger, while plain, was quite good. The chicken fried steak was good as well, as is the gravy. Service was generally very friendly (with the 30+ year old servers blowing the kids out of the water). Food is served quickly and, though a little more expensive than I expected at a diner in Glendive, reasonable enough in price. If I returned to Glendive, I'd definitely make another stop at CC's. Final note: I heard them taking several orders over the phone, so if you're prefer to bring food back to your hotel room, that is definitely an option.

It's totally a spot for the locals. Me and my sis just drove all day from Minnesota and needed to get dinner asap! The menu was huge! I got the ham n cheese omelet with hash browns. The omelet was bomb.com ! So much cheese n ham! The hash browns could of been a bit crispier but still they hit the spot. Service was ok, seemed like the servers were all in the weeds. Either way I left a happy girl! My sis got a burger with waffle fries, said the burger was super over done, the fries were crispy and perfect. Do yourself a favor and get breakfast!

CC's is a quaint little diner out in Glendive. It's just about what one would expect from a joint like this: cheap, filling comfort food and plenty of coffee. The service here is generally prompt and friendly. I've found myself enjoying three meals here: the ham and cheese omelette (ask for bacon!), the tuna melt, and the dunkin' burger. Dunkin' burger, you ask? The concept is simple: a French dip and a burger had a child. The chef takes a burger patty, covers it with grilled onions and cheese, then puts it between two slices of toast. Served with au jus on the side for dipping, it's an interesting take on two classics. I recommend getting it with the hash browns, which are way less dry than most hash browns I've had.

Good, solid food. Whoever thought of a chili omelette is a genius! I wouldn't go out of my way, but it's worth stopping here if you're passing by.

I am perfectly aware that Glendive MT is probably not the number 1 culinary destination in world. Still, I did have relatively high expectations, also after reading the reviews on Yelp. My friend and I were both craving steaks, so we got the Filet Mignon and the New York Strip Steaks. Very disappointing. As first it did not taste that bad but it gradually started tasting less and less good and eventually left a very bad taste in our mouths for many hours after the actual meal. Also, the salad bar was empty and the fries were incredibly mediocre. Additionally the service was subpar. We waited to be seated, only to find out that you can seat yourself. Nobody of the personnel cared to point that out though. In the unlikely event that I ever pass through Glendive MT again I will surely seek another alternative for dinner. I might even prefer a gas station.

Ordered a Philly Cheese-steak, the steak was barely cooked. This is an extremely small town with little options. People call it comfort food, but it's anything but. The waffle fries were good, however taking something to go meant that by the time I got to where I was staying, they were closed and I had to microwave my food to finish cooking it. I'm sure other food here is good (maybe), but this selection was a mistake. Steak-Ums, squeeze cheese, and a bun does not equal Philly. You get a more consistent and better cheese steak at a national chain like Charlie's for $6, rather than $8+ here. However there are so few places to actually get food in this town, you'd probably be better off getting something microwaveable at the nearest gas station. Don't go here unless you're pressed for time, hungry, and pick something safe...probably something that would be OK to eat if they under cooked it.

Good Breakfast. Large portions and low prices. So many choices of potatoes. The waitress had to explain to me what gems were (tater tots). But everything was good. Fresh food and fast, friendly service. Stop here if your traveling the 94. Its right off the highway and one of the only good restaurants for the next several towns.

What a horrible cafe! Tables were dirty, service was very slow. If the food had been better the price would have been reasonable but the poor food quality meant the prices were a rip-off. I ordered a hamburger, fries & milkshake. The burger was shoe leather, the fries were rock hard & the milkshake was chocolate milk with fake whipped cream on top. My wife ordered a chicken Ceasar salad. The chicken was deep fried chicken nuggets. Really?! I saw people ordering breakfast in the middle of the afternoon. That should have been a clue. Avoid the lunch menu.
