The Elk meatloaf rocked! Bacon, caramelized onions & sweet potato tots. AJ had the Brie burger. Don't lets the ingredients fool you. He sucked it down great local brews on tap too. I had the tumbleweed IPA out of Helena. Hit this joint before you hard into the park. Might be your last gold meal. ;-)

A true highlight of our trip to Yellowstone -- our group drove the 5 miles or so to eat two successive nights at the Antler Pub & Grill. Not only did we enjoy a wonderful array of sandwiches and burgers, but a great selection of Montana micro-brews as well. And the staff ensured our whole experience was FUN! Especially note the Nacho Salad too -- I loved it. And one night some of us shared a couple of the Brownie a la mode desserts -- to die for. Sharing this info with other friends heading that way next month.

We came here cos we were staying at the Travelodge behind the Comfort Inn and didn't want to go too far for dinner. Pretty small, bar with a few tables on the 2nd floor. Good beer selection, and the bison skewers appetizer was decent. I didn't like the elk burger that much - it was a bit dry. Expected a bit better after reading the reviews - I had better in West Yellowstone. Friendly staff, though the service was a bit slow. Lots of taxidermy all over the place, was interesting.

Good food, fine beer with a lot of choice, but a bit noisy... We had diner there as tourists staying at the Comfort Inn attached to it, but a couple of drunk people disturbed us.

Typical pub food. Nothing out of the ordinary but good for what it is. Price is very reasonable and the service was good and friendly. If you're looking for a burger and some fries, you can't go wrong here.

The Antlers is a nice restaurant that serves a mighty fine chicken fried steak. There were lots of other beef, chicken, fish, burger and pasta dishes on the menu that looked intriguing but we didn't discover it, tucked into the Comfort Inn, until the second to last day we were in Gardiner. We were too late for lunch and too early for dinner that day but made a special effort to get there for dinner on our last evening in Gardiner. Three of our party ordered the chicken fried steak and hubby ordered manicotti. I loved the steak, which was served in a very generous cut, breaded with a very tasty, crunchy and perfectly prepared coating and topped with a lovely cream gravy. More gravy topped the real mashed potatoes and the green beans were fresh and cooked the way I like them with just a little bit of crunch. The meal also came with a dinner roll. It was a lot of food and very good. Hubby said that the manicotti convinced him that Montana is not the state in which to order Italian food. The restaurant is named Antlers for a very specific reason: Most of the walls are covered with taxidermist trophy mounts of elk, deer, moose and mountain sheep. If that kind of thing bothers you, I recommend you don't look up much. Just concentrate on your plate. As for me, you can't go wrong ordering the chicken fried steak. Service was friendly and helpful. The Antlers is the best restaurant we visited during our time in Gardiner and I wish we could have tried some of the other menu items.

Needed a good dinner after a long day in Yellowstone, and Antlers did not disappoint. The elk burgers were excellent and the good selection of micro brews was a pleasant surprise. Both the waitress and bartender provided top notch service, and did a great job during a busy time. The chicken nachos weren't much to talk about, but both kids really liked their chicken strips. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good burger and beer.

I recently ate here on vacation in Yellowstone. My group of four stayed at the comfort inn which is attached to the Antler Pub & Grill, we tried the restaurant as we were tired and didn't want to go searching for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks. I didn't know what I wanted for a drink so our waiter brought me two samples of local brews. I ended up going with the moscow mule which is vodka, ginger beer and lime juice in a copper mug and it was delicious. I originally ordered the bison burger (which they haven't removed from the menu yet) but they no longer serve that so I had the elk burger and sweet potato tots for dinner. The view was gorgeous, overlooking yellowstone and the service was good. Would definitely recommend after a long day of sightseeing.

Ate their a few days ago. Amazing burrito. Had a specialty drink with huckleberry vodka, lemonade and sprite that was outrageous. Bartender was great (young bald guy) and helped out our waiter, who never could be found. Ordered drink refills right from the bartender who thankfully was not far away. Cool atmosphere with tons of animal heads on the wall. Generally not into that, but it worked here. Also had nachos which were just OK. Chips seemed home made and were good, just did not have enough beans, cheese, etc. Went back the next night, because the burrito was that good and there just aren't that many options in town that sound good.

First impressions can lead to greatly exceeded expectations. We chose the Antler due to reviews on another site as well as the convenience of walking just down the hill from our hotel. My first impression upon walking in was that it was the breakfast room of the Comfort Inn (which it might also be...) and that the menu seemed basic, and a bit pricy. The salad course of boring iceberg lettuce didn't go very far in raising my expectations, nor did the unceremonious (although friendly) dropping of unfolded cloth napkins on our table and haphazard arrangement of silverware once our server noticed we had been served salad, but had no utensils. We found this amusing. The main course arrived and I was pleasantly surprised to see lovely bright green, crisp green beans as the vegetable accompaniment. I would have guessed army green colored beans. The tasty beans were joined by a very nicely cooked piece of chicken (a tad salty, but good flavor) and a baked potato. Be sure to ask for a bare potato unless you want it served with sour cream on top and butter pats on the side. We didn't have dessert but the people behind us seemed to enjoy the very rich warm chocolate mini bundt cake they ordered. The menu offered a few Montana beers and a very basic few wines. The antler in the name refers to the various racks of various ungulates mounted on the walls, along with heads, as well as other animals including a Grizzly on the upper level. It's the stereotypical mountain west.

Friendly local staff. Huge burgers with a choice of beef, bison, and elk. Montana brews are abundant.
