Nice local community country type dinner. If you're hungry & in the area, this is a good stop. Prices are good & food is really good. I'm glad I stopped here to feed the belly. Loved the cowboy cheese burger. Fries were good too. Everything taste homemade & fresh.

Great way to start the day! We went in before our trip to Yellowstone for oatmeal and omlettes. It was nice to see an old fashioned soda shop still in business behind a pharmacy. Our server, Copper, was really sweet and efficient. The smoothies were a tinsy too sugary but other than that, it was to die for! It also has a good mix of locals and tourists so you have a nice experience.

Nice little local place. Definitely get the feeling that everyone knows each other in their. We stopped in for lunch while visiting Ennis. The sandwiches were great. I had a vanilla cream soda which was very yummy. The kids had chocolate ice cream, which I tasted, and it was great.

Such a fun place to stop in for brunch! Two things made us love it: 1st, it feels like a place a lot of longtime locals frequent (always a good sign), and 2nd, they make awesome sodas and milkshakes - like taking a step back in time. Even though they were busy, our food came out hot and fresh.

After a great week visiting Yellowstone and on our way back to the Seattle area, we decided to visit Ennis, Montana during the trip home. Talk about luck, we found a review for this place on Yelp and decided to go here for lunch. There was a 'Fly Fishing Festival' in downtown Ennis, so we capped off the event with a visit to the Soda Fountain. It was fairly busy, so I popped in there and grabbed the only free table I could find. Corrina the waitress came over to give me a menu. She was SO nice, and when she found out we had a party of six, she was able to free up another table and make room for us! She and Katie (another VERY nice and helpful waitress) gave us all water and told us about the daily specials. It was very difficult to decide on what to get, because it was all good. The local folks all come here, but they tend to eat between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., before the tourists show up. There are pictures of them on the wall, and you get this feeling that you're eating someplace very special. We saw 100% homemade milkshakes on the menu, and they aren't kidding. They make the ice cream, get their milk locally, make the whipped cream from scratch, and the shakes are very thick! You even get the extra shake in the metal mixing cup. Don't order this if you're counting calories, as you'll be breaking all the rules with one sip. I had the Southwest burger with homemade New England clam chowder (see my pictures). Very tasty! Again, the atmosphere, the staff, the FOOD and the prices make this place a must while in Ennis. By the way, we wish Katie all the best when she heads to Nashville next year.

I enjoyed this place. Walking through the pharmacy to the old school soda fountain was like stepping back in time. Breakfast was super cheap. Eggs Benedict for less than 6 bucks! I tried the fry bread too. Good stuff.

Located in a section of a dime store. Appears to serve locals and the vacationers here to fly fish. My husband got an omelette which was good, but nothing earthshaking. I ordered a dish which had eggs with ham and bacon atop hash browns. It was fine but like my browns crispier. Wish they had pulled the shades on the windows so I didn't have to eat staring at kids games, greeting cards and hand lotions.

Fast, friendly service, but a slim menu for breakfast, and the OJ is definitely concentrate. There are better options in town, but this isn't a *bad* one.

What a fun diner in the middle of Montana! It's one of those places that makes road trips so amazing. A lot of care was taken to make the soda fountain offerings authentic-- down to the "Green River" concoction of yore. I basically wanted to get one of everything. We knew the food would be good because everyone in the place knew each other. If the locals frequent it, you can have high expectations. The burger and huckleberry pulled pork sandwich were quite yummy and gave us fuel to keep on truckin'.

Service is slow, but friendly. Need to track down the staff to get your water refilled. The atmosphere is okay..... Their food, I've had worse, but also had better. Best item I tasted was their soup.

It's always fun to have lunch with friends T Yesterday's. it's a step back in time! I had a healthy lunch - chicken breast with cottage cheese. Good service. Fun to see all the locals!

We like this cozy, 1950s-ish cafe and soda fountain located right on the main street of downtown Ennis, which is a nice little town to boot. Good menu, casually friendly service and good food. Always ask about specials as sometimes they don't post it, but it is ready to serve. Applies to breakfasts and lunches, of which we have had many. Parking on the street, very clean restrooms and the restaurant is one side of the building and the other is a composite store, drug store, souvenir shop and you-name-it collection of stuff. Not offensive, but carries a certain charm. We regularly stop her to refuel car and bodies when traveling to the Yellowstone Park area. Recommend you try it, too.

Wow, what a great place for breakfast! The food was awesome, service was great and the prices are so reasonable!! We had fun looking around the restaurant at all the memorabilia..... Took us back to our childhood. Highly recommend!!

Fun place to stop on the way to Yellowstone! Cheap, good lunch and FANTASTIC cherry milkshake to top it off! We ordered one to split and it was served in two dishes... More than enough for both of us.

Good place for lunch with kids. A real soda fountain that made great huckleberry cream soda. Service was very friendly. I will definitely go again on my next visit.

The service was excellent, the food amazing. Breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day but the biscuits and gravy were packed with flavor, had actual sausage in the gravy. Don't be fooled by the layout of the restaurant attached to a gift shop.

Yesterday's is inside Ennis Pharmacy and is a typical old-time soda fountain like you might have found in the 50s. The food was amazingly good for this type place. We had hamburgers that were charbroiled instead of grilled and they were served on a sourdough bun that was much better than your typical hamburger bun. One of us had the cream of chicken soup which she didn't like; another had a side salad which consisted of a variety of greens instead of the usual iceberg and was served with huckleberry vinaigrette dressing (really yummy); another had sour cream & chives french fries which were delicious and very unusual. The service was a bit spotty and it's quite possible that the locals get quicker service than the tourists. Our server was amusing, if somewhat harried acting. There isn't a lot of choice in Ennis but even if there were I'd recommend Yesterday's.

Stopped here for lunch passing through Ennis. Food was predictable but very good. Everything was hot that should have been hot, burgers were juicy, fries crispy, and the shakes thick enough to eat with a spoon. Sevice was exceptionally good. Other tables were mainly filled with locals and the waitress greeted everyone by name and sometimes hugs. A small town in the West experience that I will definitely go back for.
