Papa T's is the real Montana cowboy eats. We stopped in Dillon for lunch and found this store front in the old down town part, away from the new chain places. Papa T's was once a saloon or bar of some kind, the old bar is still a prominent feature in the decor. It is surprisingly large once you get in the door. Many tables and a pool table all were busy at lunch. The old place has newly remodeled and updated clean restrooms. Several fast and courteous wait staff took our order and were knowledgeable about their menu. The lunch menu had a wide selection of items from salad to pizza to sandwiches. The bar serves a good selection of beverages. One large family with children were there. We had a good time and a good lunch. Everyone else looked like local ranchers and farm folk. Its worth a stop if you are in the Dillon, MT, area.

Great pizza! My guy and I demolished a 12" and left in a massive pizza coma. I can only imagine that everything else is just as delicious. Good prices on their food, too. The place is somewhat cavernous, probably good if you are coming in with a lot of people. They have a myriad of old 80s arcade games where the kids will certainly want to drain your pockets of quarters. Love the art deco bar and the old ceilings!

We were passing through Montana and needed lunch. Papa T's was the first place we spotted in Dillon. The service was friendly and fast, bathrooms were clean, and the food was delicious. I recommend the Papa T burger! Huge servings and good prices. Highly recommended.

We wound up here after walking out of the Whistle Stop. The decor leaves much to be desired, but the burgers we had were great and service was fast. There's a full bar, but it's also a family establishment so there's something for everybody.

Best burger ever. Service was great, not too loud and the kids enjoyed playing the games while we waited to be served. The yelp directions seemed to be a bit confused so just stay on Montana till your by the Museum. It's just across and down the way.

Typical small town restaurant.. The food is decent but I wasn't inspired to finish my sandwich as it was rather ordinary. They would do better with a smaller menu where they specialized in one thing. Service was quick and friendly.

The first time I visited this restaurant I was on a work dinner. I ended up ordering their Asian Salad. When it came out I was completely disappointed, no restaurant should be serving food of this low of quality. The lettuce looked about a week old, the fruit on the salad obviously came out of a can and the chicken was tiny, unseasoned and had a rib bone in it. The service was unprofessional and a couple of my co-workers drinks came out in cans.

Sad to say but this place has went down hill after the loss of Tom. Food has become just food nothing to brag about. Have eaten there since it opened. Would hope Paul would get in the kitchen and make sure the family recipes are adhered to. With some changes it could be the best eatery in Dillon again.

a great place for lunch. It was very much a family-friendly setting if you don't mind the bar. there were video games there and a pool table that a few of the kids and parents were playing with. the service was extremely friendly and the food was delicious I had the Joani's burger which is a burger with ham and cheddar cheese. the use beef from local ranches. it was top quality food. I will definitely be coming back again. some of the best I've had in the small montana town

My wife is a Dillon native and says that Papa Ts is the most popular restaurant in Dillon (but it's a tiny town). We've gone there for pizza a couple times while visiting family and it is typical small-town pizza. According to the wife, their crust is their own recipe (a beer-infused type crust), but the rest of the pizza is pretty much out of a can (the vegetables definitely were). Get rid of the canned vegetables - go out and buy fresh foods for your pizza offering and maybe you'll have something. But they're a small town restaurant with no real competition that i know of, and many people love the place. The staff and service was good, but the food, pizza specifically, not so much. Will I go back? Probably - just won't get pizza again.

We stayed at a friend's house in Dillon on our road trip, and it was a Thursday night...we were in luck! Papa T's was serving their famous chicken fried steak they only serve on Thursdays. Of course, we had to order it, and it was fantastic! The servers were so friendly and seemed very happy to work at Papa T's, and my friend said she thinks the employees are treated very well by management, which is nice to hear. They also have light entertainment for the whole family. Our 3 year old rode the Chuck E. Cheese merry-go-round while we waited for our dinner...something they call the "mice ride" in Dillon. I explained to my friend what Chuck E. Cheese is, and chuckled as I wondered how the ride made it all the way out to Dillon! They also have a variety of video games and a couple of pool tables in the back of the room where a few young folks were playing. They also have a bar, but it's very family-oriented. Papa T's was really a nice treat for being out on the road for so long.

If you are headed through Dillon, make sure it's on a Thursday and stay the night. Papa T's has a Thursday special of Chicken Fried Steak that is hands down the best in the world. For around $7 you get a large order (which is MAMMOTH) with a huge scoop of REAL mashed taters and its all covered in gravy. Of course you get the Montana version of salad (iceberg lettuce with some carrot shavings), but it only makes you realize where you are. They also make a great pizza...try the Porky...yummmmmmmm. Another huge plus...they don't allow smoking...makes it great! Be sure to say hi to Evelyn and Tom and let them know what a great joint they run!
