About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak. Although the trademark dish Riblets is a hot favorite among regular Applebee's dwellers, the restaurant also serves some amazing burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and salads.

Pretty big menu...I had the turkey bacon melt and a side salad. Sandwich was yummy and side salad was fresh. Service was prompt and prices weren't bad. Nice little roadside stop for lunch.

Was here last week, the speed of service was shall we say relaxed, but they were very friendly, the food was good no complaints, I would recommend it since your choices are limited but I have to say it was a nice to sit and cool off and get something to eat

Service was fairly fast and moderately friendly. The restaurant is somewhat spartan - it's not stylish or refined, but that's okay - this isn't a chain. It's a place of old timers and regulars. Our food was tasty and portions were moderately sized. Prices were fair - about $10 per person.

Place smells like the barn. Only person in here and there is dirty floors. 4 employees nothing but gossip. Burger was over cooked and bun was crunchy. The only thing I enjoyed better than mcdonalds was the battered fries. Would not be a regular if I lived here.

Apple Village Café was on our way into Yellowstone so we decided to try it. This is what we would call comfort food. Very plain interior and a varied menu along with a friendly staff. Food was good but not great. The menu offers enough choices so that everyone should be able to find something to satisfy. Not a lot of places to eat in Columbus and I would guess this might be one of the better ones.

We live in the area and frequent this Restaurant. One of the best in town! (Out of the 6 restaurants that are avaliable if you don't count Subway or McDonalds) My favorite meal here is the Montana Burger! With the bacon and fried onion rings and the barbecue sauce... mmm. You pretty much have to squish this one down to fit it in. Presentation is even to boast about in this little diner. In the mood for some greens? There salads are huge! Prepare to take some home. Don't want lunch? Still in the mood for breakfast? They serve breakfast until 2! The hungryman jack (or something like that) is sure to fill any one up! Though maybe a little pricey, there flavored sweet tea (refillable) is usually my go to to wet the whistle. I will say, if you are looking for a big dessert.... You may want to try elsewhere. Pretty much my only complaint. ^-^ Otherwise staffed by friendly people and yes there is a room that you can reserve for events or groups to meet at for a fee of $30 for 3 hours. As you enter Apple Village Cafe, The Chamber of Commerce is in an office at the right. On your way to the bathroom is tons of information not only about local areas, but of all over Montana and even into Wyoming!

This place was packed early in the morning on a weekday. We were on our way to Billings on a road trip. I felt bad for our waitress, cute little pregnant woman, working her butt off by herself. She had a lot going on and it took a reminder to get ketchup for our breakfast. I had the biscuits and grave with a side of egg and sausage, it was pretty good. There isn't a whole lot of choices in the area. This was a good one. If we moved out here I would come here again.

The hand pressed hamburgers were excellent. The salad was fresh and plentiful. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She recommended the batter dipped fries and we're glad she did. The restaurant is cute with lots of locals eating on a Saturday for lunch. it's a quick on and off the highway which is great for us during a trek across Montana on our way to Washington. If our schedule permits in the future, we'll stop again.

We used to be faithful customers. Lunches 3 times a week, minimum, company parties, lunch to go , HOWEVER, the owners daughter is a mean spirited young lady that treated us poorly. I could use a couple other words but I rather take the high road. We will never go back ! There are other nice restaurants to support in this community and being treated poorly and disrespected is not what I need for lunch. all because we wanted our lunch ready for us when we arrive, something we do allllllll the time since we have a very busy schedule. Good Luck

Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a while. Great food, great service. This is what small town diners and cafe's are built on. I'll be back if we are ever through here again.
(5)Madeleine C.
I've gone here to eat breakfast twice. The servings are enormous. that being said it is extremely delicious. I have tried the omelette as well as eggs bread and hash browns. they were both really good. Each time, the people that I have gone with have really enjoyed the meal, although we have usually had to take some home. I live here in Columbus, and this is usually the place that people will come and sit out in the mornings to drink coffee. There is another cafe in town that they will go to a, but this is one of the popular ones. it has a room in the back that could be used for big groups but in the front it is mainly booth seating. the price is fairly average about $8-10 for breakfast.

Good, basic roadside diner. Nothing fancy, but has basic stick-to-your-ribs food. I went for breakfast after boat float. Perfect hangover cure.
