Food was fresh and delicious! Service was great! Great view of the city. Definitely a place I would return to on a regular basis.

Orange chicken was really good but the curry vegetables were straight up terrible. I think that they must have dropped in the seasoning by accident. It was very salty and just tasted like bullion cubes or something. After few bites I was done. Orange chicken really was the best I've had in a long time though.

My wife and I came here because the reviews looked good. We got an order of the cheese wontons and they were good. We got the combo meals and it was definitely a lot of food, but it wasn't what we expected. Maybe our palettes are used to different tastes but the sesame chicken was extremely sour. The shrimp with cashews had decent flavor but it only came with 4 shrimps. The sweet and sour sauce just mixed with everything on the plate so everything just tastes the same.

Me and my husband visted Soho asian cusine for dinner. We ordered the Soho maki and Schezuan Chicken and both were amazing! I was super impressed by flavor of both entrées. Friendly service. I will be coming back often.

Average to below average Chinese food here. Seriously, does every Chinese restaurant order egg rolls from the same supplier? Anyway, I ordered a combo dinner and it was mediocre and forgettable. The breading on the shrimp and chicken was very thick and somewhat doughy. Sauces were sweet and syrupy, like they came out of a big container. Service was okay and the food came out quickly, but it wasn't very busy either.

Great food, great service and an exceptional Butte atmosphere. Spacious and clean and also prompt service from the Acoma Bar downstairs with the bar being a Butte Icon and a great spot for a relaxing after dinner drink.

The food and atmosphere here are amazing. I ordered the BoBo platter as an appetizer. It is a fun and delicious appetizer. For my main course I ordered Butte Maki from the sushi menu. The food presentation was great and the food was delicious. The restaurant however is ridiculously understaffed. On a busy Saturday night, there were only two servers for the whole restaurant, plus running the till. This resulted in slow and in attentive service.

I ordered the Mongolian Beef. It was delicious and it was served quickly. The atmosphere was a little interesting, and I definitely recommend they lose the sticky vinyl table clothes, but overall the place was clean, the food was tasty, and the service was good. I don't mind paying a bit more in that regard.

Stopped in tonight for some dinner. We ordered some soup, orange peel chicken and black bean tofu. The location was great, the food a-ok and the service good. Nothing special really to write about, it was your typical Chinese restaurant.

If your from Butte and have no better place to go because Chinese TV dinners are better!

Great food. Loved the spicy sour soup. Way better than Jade Garden. Sushi rolls were delish and beautiful.

Great service, good food and reasonably priced lunch specials for a family of six. We had the cashew chicken, beef broccoli, szechuan beef and sweet & sour pork.

Love Soho. Best Asian food in Butte, and decent sushi! The staff isn't keen on English, but they get by just fine and I have been here well over a dozen times and have never gotten the wrong order. QUICK service too, hard working staff, delicious food! Grab a seat by the window overlooking Butte.

We arrived in Butte on a blustery, thundery evening and were drenched by the time we settled on Soho for dinner. Our original plan had been to eat at another restaurant but it closed earlier than we'd expected. What a great find Soho turned out to be! Whereas this isn't an authentic Chinatown style of food, it's very good American Chinese. Service was quick, and every course of my combination platter was tasty. Not too terribly greasy overall, nice light preparation on the egg roll, and outstanding hot & sour soup. The only small ding in my book was for a stale fortune cookie, hardly worth mentioning!

It took a little while to figure out where this place was. Its above a bar so if you walk in and it doesn't look right keep going through there and up the stairs. I was seated quickly even though this was a friday night. The dining area is laid back but I'm pretty sure everyone can hear other people's conversations so not the place to go for intimacy. The food was fine and I was surprised at the tone of the menu. It seemed asking for any subs would be a no-no. I don't think they take discover.

This excellent restaurant is located in the old Acoma Lounge. The new owners have done an amazing job with the interior and is an excellent place for family dining. The food and service here was excellent as well. We all had different combination plates which came with plenty of food. You won't leave hungry for sure.

I lived in Japan for several years and was afraid I would never get to eat good sushi ever again. Not only is the sushi menu here good... (all maki-style)... but it is the best sushi I have had since coming home to the States. And that includes some restaurants in bigger cities! My favorite is the Soho Maki. The Dragon roll is also very cute and tasty. (^_^)

Soho has inedible sushi and even worse service. Took 30 minutes for me to get a menu, another 30 to actually order, another 30 to get smelly, inedible sushi. They have a single waiter on staff, for the entire restaurant, who does not speak English. He messed up my order and then argued with me as though it was my fault. Butte, we should not put up with this level of lousiness. We don't have much to choose from so step up your expectations and maybe this restaurant will too. I am never going back to Soho.

Very good Chinese Japanese cuisine. I had the ahi tuna and Kung pow shrimp and my husband had the seaweed salad and the B combo (sweet and sour pork, shrimp and almond chicken. We didn't realize it until after we ordered but the entrees come with soup, so I got hot and sour and my husband got the egg drop. Everything was fresh and tasty. The ahi was perfect with a nice sesame seed seer on the outside and tender and pink in the inside. The soups were excellent and could easily be a stand alone meal. Even though it was packed the service was excellent and fast.

I always get the same dish when I go here (Phoenix Chicken) and it's always delicious! However, if you go during a busy time (like, ANY evening) expect the service to be slow, like, S-L-O-W! Although sometimes a bit hard to understand, the waiter is always nice but he is the ONLY guy acting as host, server, and cashier for 15 tables on a weekend and that just doesn't work. The last time I went a group was waiting for 15 minutes to pay their tab. I typically wait for the waiter to bring my tab but I knew if I didn't catch him while he was at the register it may be another half hour before I see him, so I got in line behind them. Anyways, I have learned to go when they are not so busy( like midday) for a nice, quiet lunch and have found the service to be excellent when they are not slammed. PROBLEM SOLVED! Overall, great food (I don't eat sushi so can't comment on that) but they need more help.

Soho is not bad. Think, "A limited and less well-executed version of PF Chang's." It's just Chinese-American food. Or what we ordered (Buddha delight, another spicy tofu dish, and a rice noodle with chicken dish) all turned out to be that. Think saucy and fatty, lacking really fresh, bright, flavorful spices, lacking attention to the particular characteristics of their produce or meat. Chinese food has so much to offer, but Chinese-American joints like this one tend to cater to the American fast-food pallet: oily noodles, proteins lathered with thick sauces, oil and salt substituted for high-quality ingredients. And there is no imagination in the menu. It's the go-to foods of Chinese-American cuisine. If that's your thing, then overlook my dismissive tone and get your "Asian food" fix here. You know what, I might eat there again--but mostly because there are very limited choices for Asian food in Butte. And the tofu itself wasn't bad. If there were half stars, I'd give this place 2 and a half. I'm giving it two mostly to balance out all the other too-highly favorable reviews. By the way, getting to the place can be a bit confusing for someone who has never been there. It doesn't exactly have a proper entrance. After you enter the door, you find yourself in an American style bar. You need to stay left and go up a set of stairs to get to the restaurant. You'll know you're there when you see gaudy, Asian-inspired art inexplicably intermingled with tacky black and white images of Paris and New York. Is that the "Soho" part of the restaurant?

Great place for some very decent Asian fusion cuisine. We sat in the bar (Acoma Lounge) and were treated very well. The ability to choose both Chinese and sushi from the menu was awesome. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch (I was craving Chinese food) and the food here was delicious. The service was great, prices reasonable and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We will definitely be going here again!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
