Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Pretty good Chinese in a nice setting, but you can definitely tell that the interior of the restaurant has seen better days. This isn't a big deal because the waiters are very friendly and quick to help out, and there is rarely a wait when I get take out. It is a bit busy during lunchtime, but there's never been a problem finding seating. Their wontons are really good, as are the majority of their other appetizers. The portion sizes are perfect, I always leave comfortably full.

This review has nothing to do with the food, but the payment. Unfortunately, someone stole my wallet and this is where they ate with my credit card, which clearly states "SEE ID" on the back. Just want to warn everyone that there is no fraud protection here or almost anywhere nowadays.

I hate to write a bad review but the food is really bad. I had Szechuan Beef combo plate... the hot & sour soup was good but small portion & temperature was warm, the pork fried rice that came with meal had two small pieces of pork, the Beef in the Szechuan beef was inedible ... The meat was low quality & did not taste fresh & tasted a little like liver ... meal was overpriced at $13 as well. Fast food Panda Express is better & that's not saying much ... the ladies working there are very nice & efficient ... bad sign is when there were only a few customers there on a Saturday at dinner time ...

The Wok was next up on our list of Chinese places to try in Bozeman (having tried Bamboo Garden and ChinaTown). We've ordered the same thing (Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chicken-Fried Rice, and Crab Rangoons) from each place in order to find the one that does those items the best. The other two places did them all okay (nobody did them all very well, but either one can satisfy a craving for Chinese food), and so the below is a comparison to those results. PROS: 1. It was easy to order delivery. 2. Delivery was really fast. 3. Delivery guy was really nice. 4. Chicken fried rice and crab puffs (aka crab rangoons) were okay. CONS: Sorry, The Wok, but quality of delivery isn't everything. 1. It was about $10 more expensive than the other two restaurants. The bill is usually in the $30 range for those items, but the final total for The Wok was above $40. 2. The higher cost does not give you anything more. In fact, while the other two restaurants provided sides of steamed or fried rice with each meat entree, The Wok did not. So I paid $10 more and actually got LESS food. 3. The orange chicken was more bland than the other restaurants, and some pieces were a little hard to chew. That's really bad for a dish that is primarily chicken pieces. NOTE: If you want orange chicken, don't order it from ANY of the restaurants in Bozeman. You can get the exact same taste from the various frozen dinner versions that they sell at the supermarket - same consistency and flavor, for a lot less than a restaurant price. 4. My wife's Mongolian Beef was apparently okay, although she also had to leave behind a chunk on her plate that was inedible. Overall, these 4 things have ruled out The Wok for me in the future.

Ordered take out tonight and was the worst Chinese food I've had. Ordered chow mien expecting noodles and got a bunch of soggy veggies in a nasty slimy sauce. General Tao chicken was dry and not very fresh. Very disappointed! Waste of money.

My husband and I come here almost weekly for the lunch buffet. We find it to be a great price for the food, dessert, and unlimited soup! The food is really tasty, and the soup is fantastic! We have found the staff to be very respectful and helpful, and enjoy the environment.

So we went here for a buffet and I literally am saying it is the worst buffet in town. It is not worth it at all!!

I'm shocked by the number of and vitriol of the bad reviews. Perhaps we got them on a lucky day or they've taken bad reviews to heart. Either way, I was impressed with their offering and as a vegetarian, ecstatic with the number of choices. The food was good, hot, and plentiful. Nothing earth shattering or life changing, but I honestly give more than 3 stars, because it was head and shoulders over what I've gotten nearer to Yellowstone NP. I have yet to give Bozeman's chinese establishments a shot, so perhaps it would change my mind and alter the scale of the rating comparatively.

Traditional style Chinese restaurant. Service was prompt. Waiter was very quick with water.....we never had to ask for a refill (small thing but its a pet peeve when I have to ask). Hot tea was served as well. Ordered poo-poo platter as an appetizer. Pretty good. Family then each ordered a different plate, some were better than others. The restaurant isn't going to blow you away with an amazing meal but to be fair it is pretty good.

Absolutely gorgeous food!! We drove into La Quinta up the road and nearly made the mistake of going to Panda Express for the buffet until we looked up the reviews on here! Eeeuuuwwww! Landed into Wok. It's clean, smells clean and only of good food, which is also a good sign...one of the reviews of the Panda Express said it smelled like New York urinals! So I got Cashew Shrimp, there was Orange Peel Chicken, Szechuan Beef and the Pecking Duck at our table, which were all delicious! We also shared pork dumplings and garlic ribs to start... the ribs were a little chewy but lovely. Very nice friendly service and absolutely great food! What more could you ask for!

If this is what you call restaurant food, then I'd rather cook everything myself.

The Wok is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Bozeman. Everytime I go there I'm greeted with perhaps the most prompt and friendly service I have experienced anywhere. It's rarely busy, which is a shame, so you never wait for a table. The food is consistently delicious and fresh. Definitely a notch or two above your standard Chinese restaurant. I would recommend the Wonton soup, Spring rolls, and the Sesame Beef. Cheers.

Solid, standard-issue Chinese food in a clean, comfortable, simple atmosphere. They're very accommodating for dietary restrictions, food allergies and taste preferences; they also have a nice vegetarian menu. Food was fresh and tasty. The service was very friendly and fast. I feel guilty giving it only three stars (I'd go 3.5 if I could), but I'm a spoiled east coaster who also spent tons of time in San Francisco, so I just can't bring myself to rate it higher than 3.5 stars. But if I didn't have east or west coast Asian food to compare it to, I'd probably go 4.5 stars. I ordered the soft rice noodles with chicken, and an order of spring rolls. Both tasty; though I admit to being confused when my spring rolls' pleasingly-presented dipping sauces included not only the standard hot mustard and sweet/sour sauces, but also..... ketchup. We're talkin' Heinz 57, yo. Maybe it's a Montana thing. I'm not knocking it; just noticing it.

One of the better Chinese places in Bozeman. Not great but good.
