I was raised on Sobys. My family and I come here every time we go to Bozeman. I grew up with the "Mickey Mouse Pancakes" but went back this past weekend, quite a bit older, and after 3 years of not visiting, I was not only still content with Sobys but blown away. The breakfast was amazing! I ordered the seafood, spinach, and Hollandaise egg white omelet and it is now my favorite omelet. The taste was outstanding and the presentation was excellent. I can not find one complaint. The waitresses are one of a kind. Even on busy mornings, they take their time with each customer. One, after not visiting Bozeman in a while, remembered my family and made us feel right at home. This is an excellent place for breakfast and it saddens me I have to travel 600 miles to have it.

Worst place for breakfast in Bozeman. Food is downright gross, service is even worse. Waited half an hour to pay for an omelette that I wouldn't feed to my dog. Will not be back.

Don't go here for Mexican food. Worst I have had. The refried beans looked and tasted like they were out of a can. The chili relleno was an omelette with an undercooked chili inside. You can have the customary complimentary chips and salsa as long as you are willing to pay $3.50 for it. But don't, the salsa is ok but the chips are too thick and greasy. We left half of our plates uneaten and we came in hungry. Unfortunately it was not because of the portion sizes, rather it was due to horrible food. One note on the service: The staff were nice but when not serving, they sit at the nearby tables and chat with each other until it's time to do more service.

The food here is good. They can use some improvement in the customer service realm. I've been here during lunch and breakfast. I've had better service during breakfast, and mediocre service during lunch. The portions are pretty large, so be prepared to take some food home. Besides the service, I'd say this place has the best Mexican food is Bozeman, but that's not saying whole a lot, considering.

I ordered the huevos rancheros. The beans were luke warm and tasted old. The hashbrowns and eggs were under cooked and cold. Also, ended up with a bunch of egg shells in my mouth. Had to turn my head to away because I was gagging and thought I was going to puke on the table. The waitress was probably wise never to come over and ask us how everything was. Does that say something about their customer service?

This is one of the best places to eat! The servers are nice the environment is calm and the foods amazing!!! Highly recommend this place!

Soby's is a must for breakfast! Their American menu is exquisite but their ethnic menu is TO DIE FOR. Oh my word. The portions are ridiculous but I don't mind gorging on a big 'ol plate of biscuits and gravy, guilt-free - and finishing every last bite - including hashbrowns. Oh how I love Soby's!

Had no idea they served breakfast until we met up with friends here over the weekend. The restaurant is small, but bright and cheerful. Our service was prompt and the server paid attention to details. I tried the Haystack and it was good, very filling. Would have liked to see the hash browns served brown, but everyone at our table got white hash browns, warm, but hardly cooked. Tasted fine, just not what I would call the proper way to serve hash browns. You get your moneys worth here with portions. Was delighted with their cream cheese churros, so delicious! Try them, they are a must! The menu is quite expansive, lots of choices both Mexican style and American. Will definitely be back to try their regular meals, since I've only been here for breakfast so far. A good local spot to try with a small or large group. Good prices, great service, would recommend for sure!

Great food and great service! Good portions and it's located in the Historical Bozeman Hotel! Sometimes there is a wait since the diner seats only 40 people, but it's worth the wait! The sausage breakfast burrito is my favorite! This place should be featured on Dives and Diners!!!

Ordered the haystack, small, and got the perfect amount of food! Coffee is so-so. Any meal can be ordered size small. A Bozeman Classic!

Small, cute, bright little restaurant. Wasnt in the mood for Mexican, but went with a group. Was happy to see non mexican fare on the menu. There was a great picture of eggs benedict on the menu and ordered it hoping for the thick slice of browned ham, and thick creamy hollandaise sauce that it promised. My benedict arrived and although huge, was underwhelming. With a broken hollandaise, limp slice of warmed-through ham sitting on top of soggy hash browns I was less than impressed at the sight of it. Despite the look of it, the taste was fine. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about either. Dont put pictures on the menu if you cant deliver what it promises! Could ditch those photos and class it up a level above a Perkins style menu.

Bozeman's best breakfast. With all due respect to the other great breakfast joints around, Soby's is the best. Red chile sauce over the breakfast burrito is the best I've had north of Taos. Great service as well.

This place is small, and the first time we tried to eat here on a weekend it was beyond packed and we went elsewhere, we came here at a random time and was one of two tables filled, pretty weird. The food is definitely "gringo" quality. Coming from Southern California, I feel like I know mexican food, and being given nachos with ballpark cheese and corn was quite a culture shock. I ate it cause who can resist weird processed cheese (not me) but I was eyeing a few things on the menu that sounded weirdly appetizing. Will come back.

Delicious, best Mexican-style breakfast. Get anything with their red sauce on it, then ask to buy as much red sauce as they'll sell you. Donna is the best. Fast friendly and high quality food. Go there, but be prepared to wait on any given weekend morning unless you beat the 9 am rush.

Mexican Eggs Benedict: not on the menu, but often on the specials board. Delicious. Oh, and everything else is good, too.

Two words: Gringo Burrito. Hands down the most beautiful breakfast creation in Bozeman, if not the world. Get it with sausage and refried beans (the two options are bacon/sausage and black beans/refried beans) and never look back. Baller. Words cannot describe the love and perfection which goes into this dish. My only hesitation on the five star rating is that this place has ridiculous annoying hours - open only until early afternoon on weekdays and weekends follow suit.

good good food, prices are fair, always leave good and full!

Went there Sunday morning, 10:30am, and was appalled by the speed of service. 48-minutes from the time we sat down till we received our food- for a breakfast burrito and Denver scramble. Food was fine, but to wait that long for breakfast, while having to deal with an evesdropping server was unacceptable. Won't go there again, too many other great breakfast joints in town and too many things to do outside to spend that long on a fair breakfast in a very loud, cramped restaurant. Further, server encouraged the people waiting in queue to use the creamer and sugar from our table- while we were eating. Not a pleasant experience.

Great local Hole-In-The-Wall restaurant. Not a lot of seating but a great place to get a good breakfast. Kinda hard to find but worth it. The breakfast burrito will put you in a Caloric High!

The food is great but the service is terrible. The staff/manager has an attitude that will ruin the best tasting food.

NACHOS! I hear all this wonderful talk about burritos and breakfasts and such, but I will always have a fondness for the nachos. A heaping plate of goodness that comes with queso. It's hard to find nachos that embrace the cheese sauce. I have never appreciated melted shredded cheese on my chips, I want the good stuff and Soby's has it! Love all the veggies as well. Thanks Donna for your wonderful service!

Crabcakes Benedict is the best, their breakfast burritos are huge and awesome, their mexican cuisine is devine, and their breakfast dishes are like grandmas cookin. Huge chunks of sausage. I miss that place.

Soby's has the best breakfast burritos (served all day). Try this funky, hole-in-the-wall joint. It's a Bozeman fave.
(4)Bob H.
Awesome food great service. Try the crabcake benedict.
