Awesome Indian food! We are new to Montana and previously lived where Indian food was in plentiful bounty, we thought we wouldn't find any Indian food when we moved to MT. I'm very happy to admit we were terribly wrong! This is a surprising little place that has delicious food great service and is reasonably priced. If you are looking for authentic Indian food this is the only place to go! Eat here you won't regret it!!!

Super nice people and yummy food. Meat could make it better!

Just ate there last night and since they are set up as an all you can eat buffet I tried a little of everything. Absolutely delicious! Not too spicy but just enough. I left nothing on my plate and even the chai and paratha (flat bread) were terrific! Not sure how they got the chai to taste so good since in India they use water buffalo milk. I have spent time in India (ate a lot of dal fry) and let me tell you that this is the real deal!

A traditional Indian lunch buffet was well needed in Bozeman, and this place is excellent. There were several main dishes to try, as well as 2 varieties of rice and a couple desserts. They even offered a gluten free version of their naan, which I have never had the opportunity to try at other Indian restaurants. I will definitely be a regular customer here, and am looking forward to trying the dinner menu.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is so fresh and tasty, exquisitely spiced, and delicious. Plus it is reasonably priced. The staff is delightful, the service is quick and personable and the setting is small and delightful. They serve only vegetarian food but I think most meat eaters would be very satisfied with their tasty offerings. I only wish that I lived in Bozeman so I could eat here regularly!

I was SO excited that an Indian restaurant was opening up in Bozeman and Mirch Masala did not disappoint. I went there for dinner and was seated quickly. The server was so nice (I think she said she and her parents run the restaurant) and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was flavorful and light, and I enjoyed sampling different vegetarian dishes from the buffet. My one and only complaint was that the sauces in most of the dishes were fairly thin and runny compared to what I am used to with Indian food, although I'm not sure if that was a one-off or if that's just the style of their cooking. I prefer thick sauces that I soak into the rice or scoop up with naan but again, the flavor was great, just on the runny/watery side in terms of texture. I will definitely go back! Mirch Masala is a great addition to the Bozeman dining scene.

This little restaurant will leave your taste buds begging for more! I'm an Indian cuisine fanatic and cannot get enough. Everything is very affordable and authentic. Consider Mirch Masala a must try!

This is a great addition to the Bozeman food scene. I am vegetarian and am so excited for this to become one of my regularly visited restaurants. I hope they can find a beer and wine license! The buffet apparently changes everyday. This is exciting.

Delicious, I left full and still wanting more. I am here in Montana on a work trip, staying in Butte which is about an hour drive from here. I wanted indian food and this place delivered. I will definitely return. One thing i would like to see, (not a criticism), is ingredient labels - especially to identify which is vegan(no dairy) vs. vegetarian (has dairy)

The food here is awesome! Heard about it from some friends who are from India and decided to visit for lunch. Yes, it's a small space, BUT it's very clean, bright, and pleasant. Our server was polite, very informative, and we never had to ask for more water or Chapati. Which, in case you were interested, is not Naan, but much more difficult to make and uses whole wheat flour (and it's super tasty). The buffet was full of amazing and flavorful options and a great deal at $10 for lunch. While I'm a total carnivore, the fact that all dishes are vegetarian was hardly noticeable since they were so tasty. There is even dessert!

I was ecstatic to find not only a fantastic Indian restaurant in Montana, but a vegetarian one at that. The restaurant is nestled into half of a little house, very cosy. It's not very big, but that's okay. There's Bollywood on tv and a big buffet of various curries, soups, salad, and rice, as well as fresh naan. I will be back as often as I can!

This is a great place for those who enjoy food from India Pakistan belt. As many other reviews state, we ordered an Eggplant Chat and it is rightly credited by other reviewers. This is the best Eggplant dish I have had in my life and I come from that place of India where people locally call us eggplants. The other dish we had was Moong dal and garlic naan. This too is great and the naan just melts in your mouth. My wife had Masala Chai and she is the one who hardly likes tea made by anyone else other than herself. She said it was perfect. The serving staff was very affable. The only reason I ducked a star is because of pricing. But like joker said..."if you are good at something never do it for free". All I am saying is keep it reasonable. Loved this restaurant.

Really, Seriously, Are you guys for real. Do you know what Indian food is about. How about you visit some of the restaurants in Cali or NY. Heard some good things about this place and than went with some friends. I don't know if they even know what Indian Buffet is. Place rocked for being in a house set up, but the food quality is not what we have had in other Indian restaurants. Will not be back. Nothing like Indian food should be.

Awesome little restaurant. The food is phenomenal (and I'm saying this as a staunch carnivore) but the space is pretty tight and a little confusing on your first visit. Excellent addition to Bozeman.

Good standby Indian buffet. The price is good for what you get. I wasn't too excited about the selection because all the dishes seemed to be made with a similar brown to yellowish curry base. But I know they change the menu each day of the week so I would go back again and see if they had a better selection (spinach or tomato based curries). The owners were nice and enthusiastic. I'll be back.

Exactly the type of Indian resturant we need in Bozeman. The owners were very attentive and pleasant, food was flavorful, aromatic, and authentic and best of all it is a killer value unlike the other Indian restaurant in Bozo. Space and layout is slightly odd but hopefully this place will explode and move to a more suitable location. Absolutely worth going to.

Walked in a yellow house to find that my taste buds would be rocked. I enjoy that I feel like I'm at my grandmother's house and receive a buffet full of Indian food. The eggplant was delicious and I appreciated the rice pudding and fruit yogurt to cool my palette. This is a great local place to get some diverse food.

Great vegetarian Indian food. I really enjoyed my first trip here. There were about seven dishes in the dedicated buffet offering, so of which were tasty and fresh. The chai is very good as well. The dining room is small, but that just adds to the charm of the location. I will be back again.

I'm glad that Bozeman finally has an Indian buffet for lunch! This is a nice little restaurant that I'm looking forward to visiting again. They change their menu every day, so you'll get more variety than the typical Indian restaurant. In addition to rice/bread, they offered six different items from the buffet. I tried them all and they were all delicious. Not sure if they're exclusively vegetarian, but all the options were vegetarian the day I was there.

I am an absolute lover of Indian food and have traveled all over the world trying various Indian restaurants and was thrilled when I heard that one was finally coming to Bozeman. Mirch Masala is entirely vegetarian, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I think it really limits the options. If they added some meat/poultry/seafood dishes to their menu they would easily expand to a much greater audience. It is great to have the vegetarian choices, but why not offer something else? And sadly, the flavor and elements of the dishes were nothing to warrant 5 stars. Also it is buffet style and very simple, 5-7 different types of dishes at a time and not much variation to chose from. I will continue to wait for a good authentic Indian restaurant to come to Bozeman, or go to Saffron Table for more Indian fusion if the craving hits.

Had a lunch buffet today and it was ok. Should've paid more attention to the huge "vegetarian" sign out front, but I naively thought that it meant they had vegetarian options. Overall wasn't that impressed, seems like for $9.99 you should get a wide variety of curries/dishes and that wasn't the case. As a lover of Indian cuisine, I will keep searching for great Indian food in our valley.

The food is very fresh and tasty. Plus, you will dine in an airy, light-filled room that will make you think of sunshine and Spring. The vegetarian buffet style food is healthy and filling. You'll be happy!

I can't even tell you how excited I am to have an Indian food restaurant in Bozeman. It is about time to say the least. Now although this restaurant does not serve any meat or fish, as it is currently all vegetarian, it should not be struck off the meat eaters list solely on this account. The food is buffet style and at any given time it appears have for main dishes from which to choose as well as desserts and several types of rice for the amount I paid which was 11 I must say this is the most awful I've been in a while. To the management I would proposition this idea... You live in Montana which is primarily known for a few things one of which is Beef. Perhaps you have heard the slogan? Beef it's what's for dinner... W have some of the best beef around as well we have farm-raised fresh chicken and fish flown in by some of our amazing local fish companies. By adding one to two meat dishes you would likely increase your business up to 10x what you do currently. I salute your efforts to maintain this is traditional Indian food let me just tell you a story. My brother was a phenomenal BJ now he is a lawyer do you know why he refused to play the type of music that the crowd demanded. Only the John he was comfortable with and enjoyed. Which is great except ignoring your fan base is not the best of business decisions. Lawyer. What I am trying to get across is you have a very large base of customers who like chicken, beef, and fish. You are one of the only Indian restaurants who offers good food at a reasonable price in Bozeman... you have virtually no competition. Might as well add to your customer base and do 10 times more business and capitalize the market while you have the opportunity. It would not surprise me if another Indian restaurant moves in to offer that which you do not. That would be sad because you all seem very nice and humble with a great location and food.
