Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Let me just start by saying this was the most fun I've ever had at a restaurant and not for a good reason. From the moment we walked through the door we had terrible service. The entire meal we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the waitress by being there. She made some rude comments in Spanish to the point where half of my co-workers who understood it actually walked out after ordering drinks. Four of us took our chances and stayed. We decided that instead of being offended, we would see how much fun we could have with it. I honestly don't think she realized how inconsiderate she was. When we ordered drinks she would scoff when we only ordered water. Then when someone asked for a blended margarita she said, "Our blender is broken and I don't want to have to go to the bar (20ft away) to blend it." All 4 of the lemonades were watered down and sour to the point of us calling it water with lemon. One of our Jamaica's came out in a hot cup (probably straight out of the dishwasher). Normally not a big deal but it kept the drink warm and melted the ice quickly. After we placed our orders the waitress literally pried a menu out of one of our hands while we were still ordering extra items. The food came out and it was alright. Not amazing, certainly not the best in Billings. The chicken enchiladas were bland. Chips and salsa were good, that's about it. Even their guacamole tasted like the store bought premixed with preservatives. It was far too pricey for the run down atmosphere, horrible service, and mediocre food. We spent $68 for 4 of us. A bit high for average mexican food. To make it worse, the waitress said three different times throughout the meal that she would not charge for the drinks for those who left. But lo and behold they were on the final bill. The only reason this restaurant doesn't get a 1 star is because the second waiter who was attending to us for a brief period was incredible. He was the yin to the waitresses yang. Very courteous and well spoken. If you want good authentic Mexican food, check out El coral, despite its yelp reviews.

By far the best one. Food is fantastic, delicious. Best mexican location in Bllgs. I think they should have optional add on HOT salsa....but their fresh salsa and chips are SO ADDICTIVE. Yes, they should close door to Casino so only enter from the street.

I love it. Every time I go I have same awesome, hilarious, do-it-all waitress. The food is incredible. It's nice and quiet, and the lighting is picture perfect (pardon the pun).

Good food. However the wait staff that day was really different to call it something for the lack of a better word. Will never forget that the waitress that day just literally trow us the menu from the table across ours like if we were playing baseball and in top of that kept making out line comments that are not need to be mention. Overall good food but really low quality staff.

Sort of bleagh. Ok, really bleh. Esp compared to Don Luis. Plus the yuk factor with the attached casino. The waitress was great, though.

Despite previous reviews for this restaurant, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My friend and I arrived about 6 and we shut down the restaurant by 9 p.m after talking for hours and three rounds of margaritas. The waitress was friendly and seemed happy to have us stay so long. Atmosphere: A+ Chips and salsa arrived quickly and the waitress brought extra for me at my request. The salsa was hotter than expected which was a pleasant surprise! I ordered 2 chicken tacos and beef enchilada which were pretty good. The rice and refried beans were not anything special. Food: B+ I would definitely return again if I'm looking for a Mexican restaurant near downtown Billings.

I went to the newer one on grand and I'd go back again. It was packed but had a very welcoming staff and decent prices. Its my top two place in billings so far. The food had good flavor but not a lot of variety like other place's.

There is one server who is terrible. She is rude, tells patrons "no", complained about orders made, and generally made my experience a reason never to return. I hated the food, probably because of this lady. I'm sure it was fine, but I couldn't get past my service. She threw the menus and the straws at us too. If I could give this place negative stars I would give negative 5 stars. I hope she is the owner, because if she isn't she's scarier than I thought. Because she should be fired!!!!! The only reason she is still around is because there must be threats. Good luck if you enter.

This might be the best Mexican restaurant in the area. There are two other Guadalajaras in Billings, but this one is my favorite as far as atmosphere and service go. The food is so delicious! I love the chicken enchiladas. Anytime I am in town, I make a point to stop and eat here at least once! I miss this place. The prices are so great, and the food is amazing.
