As far as I know this is the only place in Billings with a juice bar where you can get a yummy green juice or a smoothie. I am a fresh juice addict and for that reason alone this place get 5 stars. I have shopped here a couple of times and while it is small they have a nice variety. I love their bulk spices section! They have some other great products in bulk too like teas and rices and the normal bulk stuff. Some things do seem expensive but their prices are comparable with other organic products elsewhere. The staff is super friendly and I'm so impressed with the service. Some things like seitan are hard to find here in Billings but I'm glad to know that I can get them here. I haven't eaten at the deli (unless you count juices) but it does look good and I plan to do so soon. By the way the membership fee is only $10 a year which you can easily get back in the monthly 5% discount you get on one shopping trip a month being a member.

Store = 4. Today's experience with the store = 2.5. Store: Good selection, lots of bulk, nice to have in a place like Billings that doesn't have similar places available. Prices are high, even for organic/co-op $5.99 for granola cereal, yikes, tho some items are reasonable or even a good deal. Experience- One 5 employee and one 1 employee: Checkout guy was awesome friendly and provided helpful local intel- yay! Crazy lady workin the made to order counter? booooo. Not sure if she was straight out nuts are drugged or what, but she was out of it. Left us waiting forever while best I could guess she was describing the origins of the wheatgrass for the wheatgrass shots?! Meanwhile she told us she would be with us soon, sounding like she was annoyed with us, even tho we hadn't done anything to seem impatient. So finally she finishes talking to the other person and asks what she can help us with, and I order the sandwich I had been salivating over for the last 10+ minutes. She declares she is soo sorry, some rando machine is broken. So I clarify-- so you can't make that sandwich? To which she replies with more nonsensical explanation about some mechanical failure that compels her not to make sandwiches, and eventually I am able to confirm that, in fact, no sandwiches are available. She volunteers further that she would be happy to make us a sandwich...tomorrow :( I would have been bummed about no sandwiches anyway, b/c I was starving and they sounded delicious, but the lack of posting a sign, or warning us while we waited - for some time - that sandwiches weren't available was just ridiculous, and her weirdness about the whole thing made it that much more painful. She wasn't mean-spirited, but just plain unhelpful / loopy. I'd still go back b/c hopefully this was a 1-time fluke, but certainly a disappointing experience.

I like eating fresh, healthy local food. I don't like doubling my grocery bill in order to do it.

I really like this place. Sure, it's a bit spendy, but that's what you get for organic/natural foods. The deli is fabulous. I had a slice of pizza - it was mondo and quite tasty. Their desserts are excellent, too.

I'm sorry but that place smells like. someone died in it. The groceries are way over-priced and the produce always looks expired. I would rather go to montana harvest.

Nice market to find the things your looking for, as always when you buy quality you are going to have to spend some money but for health sake it is worth it. They have an awesome Curry Chicken Salad in the deli that they make and we love to come and eat there. Staff is always friendly and smiley which is a bonus good selection of most everything your lil ole heart could desire...nice HABA and Suppliment section as well. Go see you won't be disappointed.

Good Earth is a nice place in a handy down-town location with all kinds of foods that you won't find elsewhere in Billings. On the other hand, just about everything there is expensive. Cheapest OJ is about $6, meat and dairy are similarly outrageous. I like to visit occasionally but to make this place your primary food source would require a fat wallet.

Alright, so I have already wrote a stellar review for this place, and to be clear I do get excited about my 5 hour drive to Billings largely because of this joint...but to be honest the freshness of their products could use some work. I have never had to look so closely at expiration dates and quality of produce and packaged foods. It's crazy... I have never had a problem with sprouting onions and garlic in my entire life, but it seems common place here. So be weary of this, not a big deal, but check your produce. Same thing with packaged foods, I bought a container of crem freche, came back 3 weeks later and got more...only to get home and realize the first container I bought was newer then the one I got 3 weeks later.

I love the co-op selection, especially the produce and bulk foods section. I was thrilled to stock up on dry food necessities before returning to North Dakota. However, I am not a big fan of their deli. I ordered a wrap to eat on my long drive back home, thinking it would be nice to have some healthy, natural food on the road. It was the saltiest thing I can ever remember eating. Every ingredient seemed like it had been soaked in a saltwater bath overnight. I really expected more from this place. The coffee bar was not great either-- I ordered a latte and it came with 3 inches of foam on top. Educate your baristas, please! The 4 star rating is because the store itself is awesome. The coffee bar/deli is more like a 2 or a 3.

Nice place and decent pre made food. Not close to my house so I'd never go out of my way to drive there. People aren't very friendly or helpful and its a little pricey as I expected..

I stopped in to Good Earth Market for the first time in two years to see if they'd improved under new management. No, same dingy store, same high prices, same poor quality. I would have thought they'd at least bother to develop some new and interesting items for the deli/takeaway foods case, which suffers from stale thinking. Nope, same old, same old. In a world that changes pretty quickly, it's remarkable how some things stay the same.

Absolutely fantastic. I was in a strange town and lucked upon this place while looking for three things: caffeine (to stay up late), water (to stay hydrated) and a beer (no expl needed) so I could work until 1 am. Flat out awesome market--wish we had one in Seattle. The people were so nice, and at a mkt like this in Seattle everyone is grumpy. I wanted a beer but didn't have a bottle opener and didn't want a 6-pack, and faced difficulty with their great selection of microbrews. THREE of them came to aid me in my dilemma. One looked for a twist off beer sold individually, one coached me on various methods to open a beer with household items, the third went into the back and found a rogue bottle opener and just said I could have it. These people not only made my night, they restored my faith in humanity and that a retail is not destined to be swallowed up by Wally World. Please support good earth!

It's really nice to see a co-op downtown in Billings. This place is vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Aside from the fresh produce, they have an ethnic section, snacks, lots of fake meat and vegan dairy products. The ready-to-eat section includes fresh soups, an organic salad bar, sandwiches, desserts, pasta salads, etc. There was even a tofu veggie salad soup option. They have an aisle of organic cleaning products and toiletries and a huge section of bulk spices and nuts. While it's a little more expensive than the regular grocery store around here, they do have a $10/year membership you can sign up for to get all of the better sale prices in the store. That would pay for itself pretty quickly.

This market was a very nice LOCAL organic food market. I liked the selection here, everything you would need one stop shop. Also they had a decent selection of freshly made food and juiced fruits and vegis. Pretty good for it being billings montana.

Stopped here while driving cross country. They were out of what we ordered, the service was really slow and seemed a bit dirty. The food we settled on was ok.

Good food in downtown Billings. But its high priced so many coops. I noticed there is now a Natural Grocers in west Billings now also. Both places have good things if you look for the deals. The Good Earth needs a god fresh bread selection every day. They only get fresh bread from Bozeman 2 times a week and that needs to be every day. And Grains of Montana cafe down on Grant is NOT artisan bread.Doesnt anyone in Billings want to make artisan bread..?? I hope someone does soon. Good produce here too but not cheap. Good location on 2nd Ave.

I suppose the five star rating is relative, but this does seem to be the best grocery in Billings. Good Earth has organic produce, wines, dairy (including Nancy's!) and a great bulk section. There's also a really good build your own sandwich style deli. The first thing they should brush up on is the salad bar. It is weak by any standard. Free wi-fi is a plus.

Whenever we come to Billings from Seattle to visit relatives, we always make several trips to the Good Earth Market. It has the organic produce (cherries are great), grass fed beef, excellent deli and great staff. Even my mother who is in her 80s shops there for the quality and discounts. I can even get the organic, cruelty free shampoo that I generally only find at Seattle's PCC. Nice selection of organic wines, too! It's a great way to make our visit to Montana a bit more healthy.

Best health food / organic food market for miles around. Comfy, pleasant atmosphere, nice little deli and eating area, and plenty of choices of grocery items not readily available in this area that's otherwise dominated by the ho-hum Albertson's chain. Supports local producers. It's a co-op, and all the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Will take special orders.

A favorite of Billings. Great shopping experience with attentive help. Awesome bulk and produce department. I've seen quite a few comments on here about high prices, but they're definitely lowering. As a recent college graduate who doesn't make a lot of money, I can afford it without worry. And it's so worth it. Stop by for lunch or a smoothie sometime. I would definitely recommend the salad bar!
