I went here when they 1st opened and the service was terrible waited for over 30 min. even after I called it in. I give them that being they just opened, but went there again and again I called my order in and still waited. service was terrible, not one of those girls looked like they knew what they were doing, running around like a chicken with there head cut off and there were only 3 people in line!! coleslaw was dry and ribs were not good. no ladles to get the BBQ sauce. This place won't last if this keeps up.

Having eaten at several Dickey's restaurants and at this one previously, we were in Billings yesterday, Nov, 29th and went in for a sandwich. Turned out to be a very bad experience. Walked in around 2:30 p.m. and there was no-one in the place and not an employee in sight. Finally after standing there for a few minutes, this girl comes out of the back and is texting on her cell phone. She ignores us and continues with her phone. She finally walks up to the front and asks if she can help us. We were clearly bothering her. She prepares our sandwiches and is totally unfriendly the whole time. Another guy comes out to take our payment and never says thank you, kiss my a$$$ Or anything. Food was cold to luke warm. The cold slaw side which is usually delicious looked and tasted like it had been made a week ago. I took two bites and that was to much. If I were the franchise owner, I would fire this whole crew of slugs. We'll go back to Dickeys in Idaho and Utah, but I'll never set foot in this lousy place again. I wish there were a lower rating than One as that is being generous. Oh, the sweet tea was the best thing about the meal.

My family of four decided to try Dickey's for our Friday night dinner and we got the worst food ever. The meat had no smoke taste, it was not hot but warm, the sides were OK, but the BBQ sauce was terrible. My husband did the survey on-line, received a message from the store manager while he was at work so after work he called back and had to leave a message, NEVER heard anything from anyone there again. Save your money go to Famous Dave's, Blues BBQ, or even get a BBQ sandwich from Burger King it will be way better.

It tries to set the right tone: Johnny Cash music, old stuff on the walls, but it is as fake as its silver plastic forks, knives and spoons. No real smoke in the meat. You know it's not too good when the sides are better than the main courses. Ordered the two meat plate. Brisket was ok and not too dry but it tasted like something I could have concocted in my kitchen. no smokers art at all. The half portion of ribs consisted of three very small pork ribs with little meet on it. The sauces are all blah. Billings is not bbq land. If you want that, go to Great Falls. If that is too far, stick to Blues'. At least they get the meat right.

Great tasting BBQ, was very pleased. I was only in Billings for one night, and needed a quick dinner. I couldn't decide between the pulled-pork or the ribs, so of course I got the two meat special. Ribs were very tender, and the pulled pork was moist and flavorful. My one downside was the BBQ sauce (serve yourself, on the side) seemed to have too much apple or cider in it. Purely preference-- you might love it. Free ice cream, but I begrudgingly passed on that. Nice staff, nice owner-- I spoke with him about random stuff for a few minutes; nice guy. He and his son bought this location about 4 mo's ago, so recent reviews are probably more accurate.

In town on our way back home by motorcycle with my gf. Found this place by walking around from our hotel Fast prep, very friendly, very tasty ribs absolutely fall off the bone, sign up for the loyalty program and get a free side, the sides were also delicious, I found the sweetened ice tea far too sweet, I wouldn't do that again. I would definitely eat here again!!

Solid BBQ. I had the deal of the day: chopped brisket sandwich. The potato salad and fried okra were great, too! Decent prices. The lunch included a drink and was only $8.00.

We had a gift card and a buy one get one coupon, so decided to try this place for the first time. It was disappointing. We tried several of the meats. The pulled pork and beef brisket were cold. The beef brisket was chopped up. The sauce wasn't great. The fries weren't cooked all the way. The staff was not very well organized or efficient so thankfully it wasn't busy or we would've waited a long time. Based on this experience we will get bbq elsewhere

Tried it for the first time at lunch today. Had the 1/2 beef brisket sliced. Plenty to eat and tender. Sauces were tasty. The traditional sauce has a bite to it, but very good. Side of baked beans was also good. Wish they served corn bread. I'd go back again for sure.

I love going to this place! The smell is always great and welcoming. The new owner turned this place around from what it used to be, although I've always liked the food there. Really really stellar bbq! They even have free ice cream cones with every meal, which is a cool little perk that I don't see other places. I genuinely love the place.

Back home, I'm a dickeys fan. Gotta say I'm glad this isn't the staff that runs my home restaurant. The bathroom wasn't maintained. The floors were dirty, trash can overrun and tp was out with an extra roll sitting on the side. The mgr on duty had no idea what a food allergy was. Actually said those words. Told me he had no information on site with any allergy information. He kept playing dumb and wouldn't listen as I calmly explained what I needed. Luckily I was familiar with the menu and ordered what would normally be safe back home. I asked the mgr to change his gloves to keep me safe. He didn't. After assembling my plate I asked him to put my roll on my kids' plate. He put on mine instead, essentially glutening my food. Luckily it didn't touch anything and I was able to avoid the cross contamination. The portions of the meat were puny and I wasn't asked how I would like my brisket The restaurant floors were dirty and a fly buzzed us the entire meal. The cashier looked like she could wanted to be anywhere but there and I did not receive any courtesies. She promptly lit up a cigarette right outside the front door as soon as she finished ringing us up. Guess there isn't a 15' rule in Montana.

GOOD FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE! A great addition for the downtown Billings lunch crowd! The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was really good. My co-worker and I both had the Monday special, which is a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a lg (refillable) drink (in a reusable cup) for just $6.99 The sandwich was piled high and the sides were generous. Definitely on our short list of fast - but good - food at an affordable price. Welcome to downtown Billings, Dickey's!

Let me start by saying, I am a bit of a barbecue fanatic and will one day have my own barbecue joint so I am a bit of a purist. We walked into the place and it was empty which made me nervous. We were greeted with, "we are out of a lot of stuff, but we have..." I would expect a good barbecue place to run out of some things so this actually made me a bit hopeful. The guy behind the counter offered me a taste of the spicy cheese sausage. It was pretty good. I asked if they make it there. He advised me that all that they do is smoke it there. They do put some rub on some things, but all of the marinaras(marinades) are done elsewhere. I ordered some of the sausage and the pulled pork. My friend ordered the chicken and the pulled pork. The guy behind the counter threw in a little bit of their "brisket" as well. The pork was pretty good. It lacked smoke, but it was edible. The brisket seemed to actually be smoked beef roast. It was given to us in chunks like the pork and was definitely not brisket. The sausage was good for about 5 bites and then turned into this spicy tallowy grease chunk. There sauces(sweet, regular and spicy) were all the same. The sweet was the regular with honey and the spicy was the regular with chili flakes. For sides I had the mac and cheese, this was very good and when I asked if they made it there I was told that they only make a couple of their sides on site. The rest come all made up. The other side I tried was the potato casserole with "extra bacon"(processed bacon bits) which was obviously not fresh. In all it was a bit of a disappointment.. I wish that I would have gone to Blue's because I have hear that it is very good. I will say that the service was very friendly and we got our food quickly.

i give most of the stars based on the smiling girls behind the counter. I come in and hear we do not have ribs. This should never hear those words. the beverages are self serve. sweet tea was not made and sweet sauce was out. when i did get the brisket/pork and slaw sandwich they called the race track i found it to be good. half the sides are not store made. free ice cream but what is up with dairy free?
