Rebecca and I had a very nice lunch here today. We sat on the upper deck, in a bit of shade; we are right on the water, so the view is fabulous. We ordered a couple of beers; everything on tap is Montana born and bred. We light out beers lighter and each was good. She order a cream ale. We each ordered a burger. We got the hamburger, but if you prefer, they also offer emu and portobella mushrooms. She ordered the gorganzola fig burger; i got the same, but substituted cheddar for gorganzola. The fig jam is a wonderful touch for a burger. They could have been a bit more medium, but they were good. They were warm when they came out. They come with fries that were also very good. They must use good oil and change it regularly. The was a very good burger, not gourmet, but very good. Our server was very nice and prompt. She was patient when we took extra time to make our decision on beer. The food came our quickly. All is all, this was a very satisfying meal. Not on my diet, but it is vacation. They have other choices for the more diet conscious; it just felt like a burger day for us. Glad we stopped in.

The food was awesome. One of the best burgers ever. I got the burger with grilled and fried onions and all this other goodness. The fries were good too! The service and our server was horrible. She was very rude to our table, murmuring Jesus Christ and what the hell under her breath. She was not patient and rushed us several times. She was rude to other tables too and told us we could only use two credit cards in the end...(after she saw us writing down the amounts and cards for a while). - Look, I used to be in the service industry for many years and I know what it takes. Effort, positivity and commitment. Not snapping at our woman of the hour who politely asked if there were any other salad dressings. Not getting mad at the tray passer who was trying to be accommodating! Lastly- I was very excited for my huckleberry fizz! Unfortunately, none of ours had any alcohol in any of them! I was Pretty bummed about that as I was explained how good they truly were before. If this review were merely based on food and view, it would be a 4 or 4.5

Fish tacos amazing, Pad Thai awful Waitress no personality. We felt rushed. She asked if we wanted our bill 3 times and we clearly were enjoying our night and in no hurry. The was definitely View 5 stars

I could have made Pot Stickers frozen from a bag at home that would have been a lot cheaper and tasted better. The fish taco wasn't too bad but well over priced. Will skip this restaurant next time in Bigfork, there are many others that are much better. One plus side about the Raven is it's location on Flathead Lake.

Margarita mondays!! May I say more?? $2 for a marg? You cannot go wrong with that deal. Fantastic fish tacos and calamari!! Loved this place!!

It's a bar, an old noisy bar, not that there's anything wrong with that, just don't expect anything more. Oh, it doesn't have a million dollar view. Our service was good, reasonably fast, food was served hot. The folks in our group who had hamburgers gave the two thumbs up. The Fish tacos, maybe 1 thumb at best. The tacos where nothing to brag about, go with the burgers.

This place is a great little spot right on the water. The views & the food are both very good. Great beer selection, great calamari, and any food with huckleberry is phenomenal. Service was also very good. It's a must stop if you're ever in the glacier national park area.

Keely is a nice bartender and very attentive. Sitting at the bar provides the best views as well. I would say the food is standard fare, not outstanding but good. The steak salad was tasty but I left hungry and went home to have a banana. The following night I tried fish tacos which were good but I didn't realize they were fried, I prefer grilled, oh well. Live music on Friday night was a nice touch. The views are outstanding at this location, worth a visit!

We ate here a couple times while visiting flathead lake. Beautiful spot on the lake with dining on the deck. Excellent cheese burgers and fries. Great specialty drinks and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Nice bar and music with dancing after 10pm. I'll be coming back. Parking for your car and your boat.

Beer burger was terrible. Ordered medium rare and got a thin charred tasteless mess. Fries are too salty too swallow. Horrible. Especially for the wait.

The view from the deck is amazing. It always makes me want to buy a place right next door. Fish tacos, burgers and the fries are great! Great beer and music on the deck. We always stop here when we're in the area.

The view is beatiful but the staff is young and inexperienced which causes incredible apathy. We left after 2 hours when we realized the sun was leaving and the food was still nowhere to be seen.

I would love to give any restaurant on a lake with a Poe reference as a title a five star review, but alas, I cannot with the Raven. To deter the risk of rambling about how unhappy I was, I'll simply list what I found frustrating about this place and end with some positives. 1. We ordered an appetizer that came out after half our food was out. 2. Only half of our food came out because the server did not write down the order, and the wrong food was delivered to our table. 3. We received no apology; rather, the server who took the order blamed the other server running the food for the error. Very uncool. 4. I was charged TWO WHOLE EXTRA DOLLARS on my burger because I swapped the french fries for a side salad. This really pissed me off, as it said no where on the menu that swapping salad for fries was a charge, (it only mentioned a gluten-free bun upcharge), and aside from that, my "salad" was full of brown romaine and wilted old mixed greens and shredded carrots. It was clearly a bagged salad that should have been tossed out two days ago, but I didn't complain, until I saw the horrid, $2 upcharge. If that salad was the best salad east of the Flathead with fresh ingredients and heck--lettuce that wasn't brown, I would not balk at $2. But it wasn't. It sucked. For a menu that boasts "local Farmers' Market ingredients", this is highly unacceptable for me. Sorry, Raven--"Never more, never more". The only good things about this place were as follows: 1. The view 2. The kind server who ran our food, but was nice and amicable. 3. The cocktails (thank you, bartender).

Stopped here on our drive up to Whitefish. The location/view alone gets 10 stars. Service was really slow (only 1 waitress), but just make sure you get a spot with a view and order a beer, and then your wait won't even matter. I ordered the candied bacon bleu cheese burger...yes..."candied bacon." It.Was.Amazing. Not the healthiest option, but I guess if you order a juicy cheeseburger then health might not be on your radar for that particular meal ;-) You MUST MUST MUST order the sweet potato fries (and EXTRA garlic aioli)...the best SP fries ever. Thick & crispy. Sea Salt. Healthy portion. And don't forget to ask for EXTRA garlic aioli - seriously good stuff. Definitely stop here if you're in Woods Bay.

We tried to eat here the other night. Walked in and asked for a table. They asked if we had a reservation, said no. She walked off and asked another waiter if he knew anything about a reservation. We again said we didn't have a reservation. Walked around, looked for a table, there were empty tables. Waited for 10 minutes for someone to come back. No one ever did so we went across the street to the Brewing Co to eat. As we were leaving I noticed one of the waiters from Raven was sitting at the bar of the Brewing Co.

Sweet lakeside dining at The Raven! Friendly bar, rockin' fish tacos and Pad Thai that puts many a "real" Thai place to shame. Have a drink made with the local hibiscus coconut rum by Whistling Andy (just down the road), kick back and watch the lake. Live music lots of nights and a groovy small town vibe. Pretty perfect!

Lot's of "too old to be that obnoxious" people the afternoon I was there, but the fish tacos and pad thai both rocked! Oh, and so does the view.
(4)Jennifer P.
Off season at the Raven is quiet but the bartender was friendly and the food was good. Thanks for sparing my taste buds I've had too many bad experiences lately. If you go get one of the drink specials I had the moonshine bloodymary asked for it spicy which it wasn't but that's fine it was different. The moonshine gave it a corn taste.... I started drinking angry orchard ginger apple after that. My sister had a hibiscus-coconut rum drink with dry rhubarb soda. Strong...... So we started with some potstickers and they were awesome.... I know they were frozen pre-made but they deep fry them and they were good. They burger was great a candied bacon and blue cheese with hand cut fries. They needed to be double fried they lacked anything spectacular. The view was amazing and had a great time with my sister. Cannot wait to go again.

The Raven was fabulous! The views were to die for, the server was a sweetheart and the food was amazing! All local, all delicious. My husband had the Yak Meatloaf sandwich and said it was wonderful.

A very fun place to eat! They make a great burger and have a great view of Flathead Lake. The service was very nice and fast. The building itself is old but very different because of the way they painted it! The building is very colorful inside and out. The only reason it is not five stars is because the parking lot is small and made from gravel, which is not fun to park in if it has been raining. Also, even though it is technically a bar, you can bring kids and they should enjoy it.

While the location is perfect...right on the lake with stunning views and a great deck to take them all in, the food is eh. Everyone loves the fish tacos, but honestly, I can make better at home...and have had better elsewhere as well as at home. The calamari is good but nothing special, as is the case with all of their food. Furthermore, the service is horrible. While I understand I was there during Fourth of July weekend, their servers could have been more nice and appreciative of people eating at their establishment, ready to tip (I am a server, so I understand the job from both angles). I will return, but with caution.

View was nice. Our server sucked! Took long to get our drinks and longer for our food. When we for our food never got asked if we wanted another round... And our drinks were empty. Wouldn't go back

Good food and drinks, great atmosphere. Sit out by the dock, have a toddy or three and try the fish tacos!

Not really sure how these places stay in business. We seated quickly, since it wasn't busy. Wait staff is absolutely horrible, well our waitress was, she apparently comes in from Kalispell to work. no utensils provided for food - had to ask. no napkins provided - asked, never got, had to go to the bar, and bartender threw them over without even looking up. Food wasn't the greatest. order appetizer chips & salsa - big puddle of oil at the bottom of chip container (eat chips form the top and throw out the ones at the bottom) food should be better described, since I didn't expect a large amount of mayo/fatty white substance in the sandwich. The only thing going for this place is the view, go there to drink beer and watch the water, don't go for the service or quality of food.

I thought the bar was fun on a Saturday night. I was talking to a nice girl Valentina? from Moldova that made me feel at home.

My husband and I rented a room from The Islander across the street for our honeymoon and decided to walk to the raven for dinner. We ordered and then decided to take it to go because it was only 62* inside we asked if it was possible to turn it up the bartender rolled her eyes and said "When its cold outside its cold in here." We asked if we got any deals for staying at The Islander and she said no were not affiliated with them. We took our food to our room and about 2 hours later and the rest of the night we were taking turns in the bathroom. The next morning we asked when The Raven opened and were then informed it was owned by the same people. The owner came in 3 hours later and said we were lying and we 'd only get a refund if we had proof we were sick. We never asked for a refund originally but after being called liars we did. We went to the ER and were diagnosed with food poisoning when we gave Lisa our proof she said wed get a refund but we try to contact her she hangs up or ignores our calls.

Water view from the bar. Awesome back deck overlooking Flathead Lake. Can't think of a better place to hang out enjoying a local brew watching the boats on the lake and on the dock right behind the Raven. Food is mostly typical bar food so just around average, otherwise it'd be a five star in my book.

I experienced this place on a late weeknight and had a great time with my brothers and others. The guy tending was friendly and made great conversation, which seems rare lately in the industry. Good prices too! I went on a weekend and the place was a freaking zoo packed with frat peeps and a DJ. In the summer this is the place in Bigfork area for the "cool kids". Has a big dock on Flathead Lake.
(3)C R.
Great food, people and view. Bacon and Bleu burger is fabulous, fish tacos are very tasty and the french onion soup is the best I've had.
(4)Ryan P.
Very cool spot. Love the food and the location. Awesome place to catch a beer during the day. Service is painfully slow so make sure you are on lake time.
(5)Doug V.
Some of the best Pad Thai I have had! Super nice people, great deck for a sunset, good selection of Montana beers and some spirits from the distillery up the road. Stay across the street at Islander Inn and stumble home...perfect!
(5)Spencer G.
Such an awesome spot. We were staying in Montana for our honeymoon so we didn't know anyone and weren't sure which places to try. Lots of people we talked to recommended The Raven and it didn't disappoint. The food we got there was good and the portions were large. They also had a great drink selection. They had a wide variety of cocktails and we also went there on $2 margarita night which was great. What really stands out about the place was the atmosphere though. It's right on Flathead Lake with lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many people were there. We weren't expecting big crowds it being Montana and all, but that really added to the fun environment. Everyone (staff and customers) seemed quite friendly and personable.

Imagine if the Baranof was located on lake washington. Thats the Raven..interesting people, good band the night we went, and the drinks were tasty. Great view of flathead lake...u can dock your boat there, and have a great time. The food looked good also...i hear the weekends are crazy here in the evenings...so if your in nw montana..check it out.

Best place to have a cold drink and watch the waves on the lake. Great local beer selection and good food. Awesome deck.

Big Wall Brian and cradle robber Lisa have turned this place into exactly what they wanted; a great little island escape on Flathead lake. Good job you two.
