Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I came in a few months ago and it was easily some of the best asian food I have had in the valley. I will for sure be back!

It's a good place if you want Chinese food near airport. Veges are delicous. The price is reasonable.

On a nationwide scale of Chinese food, this place would be average, but for Montana, it is excellent, and by far the best Asian food of any kind we have had in the state. If we have a flight out of BZN, we get take-out from here to consume on the plane (hint: do not attempt to take soup or any dish with a lot of sauce through airport security). Everybody on the plane gets jealous, and rightly so. Stick with the standard fare and you will not be disappointed, unless you foolishly expect NYC or SF Chinatown level of excellence. Service is good, prices are fair.

Ok so we're just because we are in a small Montana town doesn't mean you can't step the game for "real" Asian food. Had the signature chow mien, meh... American celery in it. Gross. It was just OK. I think this place could do much better. If they did they would have more people make the drive from Bozeman for dinner.

Fastest Chinese food I've ever had. We sat down, ordered and within maybe 8 minutes we had our food. It was really good too! Who knew fantastic Chinese food could be found in little 'ole Belgrade. Worth a stop if you're passing through on a road trip and are sick of Carl's Jr. for the tenth time.

Stopped on our way to the airport. Great find, good food and beer at the right price.

I'd venture to say it's the best Chinese food in Montana. Mongolian beef is thoroughly seasoned with just enough sauce to share and man oh man, the orange chicken is so good! Light crispy coating with a orangey-not-sugary sauce. We are regulars.

Excellent food that is freshly prepared after you order. Big difference in quality of dishes served when the vegetables and other ingredients are cooked in a wok after the order is placed and it was evident in the taste of the dishes. The Szechuan dishes we had were moderately spicy and enough to be considered Szechuan but not so spicy as to require a glass of milk to neutralize the peppers. This is a good balance when the restaurant is serving to people that like mild for the most part. The chow-mein is done in the Hong Kong style with crispy noodles. Ours was done nicely and with the fresh ingredients it was a treat. We eat at many Chinese restaurants in California and in China and the Hong Kong City restaurant is in the upper third in terms of the food we ate. Only wish that they had beer or wine to serve with their excellent food. Service was fast and friendly. Food was served on China and metal tableware or chopsticks provided. A pleasant dining experience overall. I am surprised at the whiny comments about the take-out getting cold. Guess some people are not yet acquainted with the microwave oven or lack their own serving dishes at home.

After trying just about every Chinese restaurant in the Gallatin Valley, I'm pretty sure Hong Kong City is the best around. I've only ordered for take-out, but it's always hot, fresh and delicious. Fast service, and worth the trip to Belgrade (if you're not from there). Things that could make it better: - Parking. There is very limited parking as they share a small parking lot with the neighboring Stageline Pizza.

Stopped in here on a Wed. night about 7 pm Not crowded, service very prompt, food excellent. The vegetable curry was very good. Wish they served liquor. If I were local I would certainly be a take-out regular. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

love old school chow mein with the crispy noodle, your a clean and friendly staff place but my other dish was a bit bland so you are getting a 4 for the staff and chow mein

What an amazing surprise to find in belgrade Montana. Thanks for those fellow yelpers who guided us here. The food tasted fresh and large portions. Don't let the outside appearance stray you away the food is amazing!!

Only Chinese worth eating in the area..lemon chicken to die for..looks like a dive but great food and staff..love all the fresh food

We order delivery from this place at least once a month. Easily the best Chinese place in Belgrade or Bozeman. That being said, I don't believe it is on par with what I could get from even chains like Pick-up-Stix in San Diego. I will typically order the Garlic Pork or Kung Pao Chicken. The chicken tastes low grade to me. My wife will order the sweet & sour chicken or some seafood dish. She enjoys them. We will also frequently get the house fried rice. The food is good, and is the best in the area, but doesn't come close to more populated areas. Occasionally we eat in the restaurant. It is clean, but seems a little dated. We prefer take-out or delivery.

Me and my family eat here often and is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Montana. The restaurant offers delivery and has amazing, delicious food that is definitely worth the drive if you live in the Bozeman or Manhattan areas. We usually have a wonderful experience and customer service but the last few times we have ate here we haven't had the best. For the last year or two they have been slowly been raising their already pricey food. Dinner for about 3 people costs over $60 and although there is usually leftovers for the next day it is getting to be a little bit more than we are willing to spend. My and my parents ate here a couple days ago on 01/07/14 and we had the worst experience we have ever had with Hong Kong City. We ordered delivery on the phone and the host was actually talking us out of getting certain dishes and wasn't able to explain the difference between the pan fried noodles and the low-mien. Because of this we ended up ordering the wrong dish. We also didn't understand our bill and called back to clarify why bill was so much and she wouldn't explain it to us. We ordered the pan fried noodles and asked for them to not put meat in the dish and we got over charged. Apparently they charge extra if you do not want meat! Restaurants usually charge extra if you DO want meat so we were pretty angry to find out that we paid extra just for them to not add it. As I said before we usually have a good experience and the food really is the best Chinese in the area. Just be expecting to pay a little more for it. Also beware of the lack of parking options for the restaurant. On busy nights you have to park across the lot at the gas station and walk over. The dishes I recommend and have tried: -Pan Fried Noodles (shrimp, beef, and w/o meat) -Sesame Chicken -Beef Fried Rice -Low Mien Noodles -Sweat and Sour Pork and Chicken

Placed a carry out order here over the weekend. They told us it would be ready in 7 minutes (wow!) and it was ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. We ordered general tso's chicken, chicken and broccoli and a beef veggie dish, which came with two containers of rice. Made it fried rice instead of white rice for a small additional charge. (3 meals came to $44) They had utensils, napkins, chopsticks and fortune cookies tucked it with our order. Service was friendly and quick. Now unto the best part... the food! All of our orders were piping hot and delicious. General Tso's seemed to be the favorite, but all of them were better than we had hoped for. Just the right amount of spice without being over the top and good portion sizes. For three people, we had enough leftover for one more person. I really enjoyed the food and plan to order take out from here again! It certainly hit the spot, I was craving chinese takeout like I'm used to from back home in Michigan and this was the closest to it I've found in the Gallatin Valley. Psyched to have finally found a great place for Chinese carry out!

By far the best Chinese food in Belgrade. Love the almond chicken and sweet and sour pork. Very fast as well. Went in and placed order and was on way home with order in 10 minutes.

If this is the best Chinese joint in the area you folks are screwed. The food was cold. The service was very sick. Let the poor lady stay at home if she is that sick. BBQ pork dry no hot mustard, I had to ask. The place was clean. It's also over priced. $8 for 8 thinly sliced pieces of BBQ PORK? Really? Good luck!!

We're always leery to order the "wrong thing in the wrong place" - like trying to find fresh salmon in Iowa or fresh ling cod fish and chips in some midwest town. Same with Chinese in Montana! We've had some pretty bad Chinese outside of the big China-towns of Seattle and San Francisco.... But Hong Kong City was a very pleasant surprise. While not remotely "authentic" it was very very tasty "American Chinese". Actually, some of the best we've had - including big Chinese places in the Puget Sound. We had the Szechuan Beef and "Crispy Chicken". Both were very tasty - especially the chicken. However, I would warn that it's not really "Crispy" - it might be that way out of the wok, but they then smother it in sweet/sour sauce, which is really more what this is. But very tasty - we both liked it a lot, as well as the beef. The only thing that was odd was the soup we had. Anne had the wonton, I had the hot/sour. NEITHER tasted very good - really weird actually (we have both types of soup all the time). Neither of us finished them. But it was a minor thing, given how good the main dishes were. VERY friendly, fast service... clean, pretty inside, and very reasonably priced. 5 Stars for really good American Chinese in Belgrade! Dave & Anne

Great customer service...they care to do right. The food was fresh, tasty...and yes I probably over ordered...but that means I have it again at the hotel. Nice and warm decor...music is good. You will like this restaurant...and it is in Belgrade. I am a fan...!!!

Working at the airport, I always find myself ordering this. Otherwise it's pizza or...pizza. Each time I have ordered I have been disappointed. It's no where near authentic and it's no where near delicious. My favorite Chinese entree is chicken lo mein and everytime I have ordered it, it ends up being more oil than flavor. Their wonton soup is decent. But that's more of an appetizer than a meal.

Best lo mein in town. Fast, friendly service! No long waiting until your food is ready to serve. I like how it's always serves green tea along with water. Though it's a little bit too salty on my side, having green tea with our meals help to take off that too salty taste. Bit disappointed when I ordered the Peking duck. I was hoping it would be boneless and slice thinly so it can be eaten with wraps and plum sauce, like how it's supposed to be. Their peking duck is more like crispy duck, no wraps, no plum sauce, but the taste was still pretty good. To order this specific meal, you have to call them 24 hours in advance.

A non-busy evening; we were seated immediately, our orders taken in tempo, and our food delivered hot and fast. This is a small town, but this is some of the best Chinese I've had anywhere. Really good, respectable portions even for a big ol' country boy, and very reasonably priced. I'd come back to this place! Unless there's a good steak to be had..!
