We had always heard good things about this place. Unfortunately, when we took the opportunity to try it we were very disappointed. We were seated timely based on our reservation. Our waitress was attentive to the point of taking our order and starting the production of courses. Then things took a turn...Our drinks were never delivered. Our waitress just seemed to disappear. We asked that the bar drinks be removed from the bill before we received the bill and the waitress acknowledged. The drinks were added to the bill anyway and the waitress was nowhere to be found. We finally got the attention of a staff member bussing a table, explained and then just had to wait for the waitress to reappear, discuss things further and finally correct things. The lobster style prawns were cold and served inconveniently. The salad dressing and potato serving dishes are questionable at best...are these reused from table to table and do you really know where the spoons have been before they arrive? That being said, the tenderloin was cooked to perfection and probably one of the better steaks we've had. We love good food and the opportunity to try new venues and we are willing to pay for this quality and high standard. This place is friendly but lacks good service and quality and the standard that goes along with "fine dining". If you decide to go...order the steak.

Great service, good food, and a local institution. I went on the recommendation of a work colleague that you could cut the steak with a fork. I ordered the tenderloin and a dirty vodka martini. The bartender asked if I would like vermouth...I thought to myself "I like the service already." Service was attentive throughout and spectacular throughout. When I couldn't decide between the cabernet and the pinot the bartender poured a little of each for me. They were both lovely but I went with the cab for the steak. Dinner is preceded by salad, relish dish (veggies, jalapenos, salami and cheese (one half slice only)) and sesame sticks. Steak accompanied by small plate of spaghetti (average but hearty) and a baked potato with do it yourself bacon bits (fake bacon), sour cream and green onions. Fabulous aside from the fake bacon. The tenderloin...underseasoned which left the beef to speak for itself...it could have used a little something, but I like my spice. Well cooked... and I did cut the first bite with my fork. Well done Anaconda. Small town supper club left me full and satisfied. Bravo.

All I could of was "that guy from 'Restaurant Impossible' would lose his mind in this place". You have to walk past the bar (from the front door, or through the restaurant itself from the back door), of which every seat has been taped over to hide the tears, to get to the 'wait here to be seated' sign. From there, you are walked into a VERY dim, tightly arranged dining area. So dim I had difficulty reading the menu and seeing around. Reminded me of my days when I hit the strip clubs. My buddy and I both ordered different cuts of steak (we were not about to order any kind of seafood from this place already). I ordered mine medium rare and he ordered medium. Mine came bleeding raw, and his was medium rare. Both cuts were of horrible quality, as well. All sorts of 'extras' came with it, including spaghetti and meatballs, salad, baked potato/ (frozen) french fries, a thin slice of warm pastrami and cheese, salad (with huge side containers of dressing and condiments (that I shudderingly envisioned being refilled from customer to customer; they were that big), along with a side plate of various veggies. And what's up with the sesame seed sticks with butter pats as a refillable table snack? I had the waitress take my steak back and get it cooked more. She agreed me at that time it was undercooked, but after it came back out, she argued with me that the steaks were more cooked than they seemed because of the low light. I'm 48 years old and grew up eating meat. I know undercooked when I see/feel/cut/taste it. Additionally, the steak was barely seasoned and only warm. Next time I eat dinner in Anaconda, it will NOT be at this place.

Awesome food and great service! Tenderloins were some of the best I've ever had!

What a meal. What an experience. Even though it is a traditional supper club. Portions and table foods are so large that all I want to do is crawl into bed and rest my poor overstuffed belly.

I don't know where the other reviewers were eating but it was not the place I ate at. I guess I agree that it is definitely a supper club, but things could be better. Yes the prices are reasonable, but give me less food of higher quality and you'd have a success. 1. Bar Service. It was not that busy in the bar, but the barmaid was helping everyone but folks waiting at the bar. Read-on for more insight. 2. Food. Yes, it's a supper club, but if I order a New York strip and king crab it should be good. The crab was cold. I had ordered the new York medium rare; certainly it was cooked to that, but it was fatty and there was hardly a decent fond on the steak. It was tough to cut; not cut with a fork as indicated in the other reviews; in fact I could not cut one peice with a steak knife it was so fatty and full of gristle. The only saving grace was the baked potato which was surprising well done. We deferred on the spaghetti and ravioli; it looked like it came from frozen. My partner had the tenderloin which was done well, but it had no sauce. C'mon, tenderloin or filets require something to compliment the texture. Steak 101 guys and I don't mean steak sauce out of a bottle. Oh hell, a wine reduction would have been an easy win here. 3. Service. Overall it was slow. We had to continually remind out host to seat us and once seated, we waited over 20 minutes for a glass of wine and we finished that halfway through the meal. No refill, so oh well no more revenue/upsell opportunity. It was comical watching how the tables were served. It was so inefficient compared to most restaurants; with family members doing bar service themselves, cleaning tables and taking orders. What good restaurant does this? Did I mention the wait staff doing their own wine and mixed drinks? Where is the barmaid??? This is a family restaurant, but it needs a good overhaul of the menu, the preparation, the décor and the barmaid needs to retire. This place could easily turn the tables at a more reasonable pace (not fast, but reasonable), the food could be so much better as the ingredients are good, just not well put together. The bar could take in an easy 30-50% more just by being attentive to the waiting customers. Some folks remarked that I should not be so hard because it's not in a big city, but I am guessing that rents are lower, labor costs also and the food is somewhat locally sourced. If I go to an out of the way place, show us the best you have to offer, that's local, that's fresh and with service that is homey and locally friendly but efficient. Until then, 2 stars.

Great tenderloin with all the extras for a price about half of what we would pay elsewhere. Service was very good. Highly recommend if you are hungry or looking for a nice experience

Unbelievable place!!! My wife's family had a family event here and all the locals know this spot. We had a party of 14. It's considered a "Supper Club"--because the stellar pricing on all entrees includes a beverage, a salad, your choice of spaghetti or ravioli, an appetizer & an ice cream dessert. Where can you get grilled halibut with baked potato & veggies plus all of the above for $20? My wife got an 8oz steak with all of the above for $22! An aunt ordered the prawns with all of the above for $18; an uncle got the porterhouse steak with all of the above for only $28! I am so pleased with this restaurant. Awesome local folks with amazing service. Anaconda is a former mining town that is about a 30 min drive from Butte. Another plus about the town of Anaconda is the Jack Nicholas golf course named Old Works. Amazing deals there too!
