Food is fabulous! The flavor and spice of my Penang curry was perfect. My husband had the pad Thai which he also liked tho they were out of glass noodles. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I felt like the prices were a bit high, otherwise I could see us eating here frequently. Portion size was good. We had takeout and I was able to eat two servings share with my husband and still have leftovers for lunch.

Always high quality food and never a cold plate. Everything seems to be cooked to order.

Went to eat here last night but decided to go elsewhere after we saw the server out front smoking for the SECOND time. The first time we saw it we gave it a pass and ate there anyway. This time not so much. I won't be able to get the image of her nicotine drenched hands serving my food. C'mon man!! At least smoke out back instead. Out of sight, out of mind. Management needs to step it up on the staffing at this place. The food is too great to let poor employees destroy the business.

Thai is my favorite type of food, and am a regular customer of Sao Thai on South Gloster. When I decided to take several friends out for Thai tonight, I was distressed to find that excellent restaurant closed. So we decided to take a gander on Thai Garden, which (spoiler alert) turned out to be a hellhole. What ensued was absolutely horrible, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever endured. Let me explain. First, let me say that the waitress was polite and fairly helpful. The following can't be laid at her feet. The hot tea we had before our meal was palatable. Nothing else could be called good or even tolerable. The appetizers (Spring rolls and fried calamari) were pedestrian at best, while the salads were insufferable, poorly made with cheap ingredients. There were two children in our group. The fries and chicken they had not only tasted as though they came from a freezer bag; they tasted freezer burnt. Then came the worst of it. The entree I chose was a mixed seafood platter over vegetables. First, it was brought out cold/lukewarm. I had to send it back to be cooked. When I actually began to consume it, the real trouble started. Shrimp, calamari, scallops, and mussels are naturally delicious foods; how one can absolutely screw them is beyond me, but the chef managed it. The vegetables were the real horror story, however. They quite obviously came out of a freezer bag, and I suspect strongly that they were not cooked at all, only microwaved (besides the lukewarmness problem, the sauce wasn't cooked in at all). I ceased to eat after having consumed less than 1/4 of my entree. All four of the other members of my party agreed: This place is unmitigated horsecrap. I strongly recommend you avoid it.

Great food. Good prices. This is the only Thai restaurant worth your money in Tupelo. Some of the decor is left over from the Mexican restaurant that used to be there and the music can be annoying but the food is so good you'll hardly notice. I've had lunch and dinner here and they're both great. I really hope Thai Garden makes it in Tupelo, as they are never really busy.

Average food and meh service. The food tasted a bit off to be honest, like it was missing something.

Great restuarant with friendly staff, great food & good prices. Love the variety of dishes. We have been several times & tried different dishes - all were good. Especially love the pineapple fried rice. The portion sizes of the dishes are good for the price. Would really love to see this restuarant do well in Tupelo. Great place to eat!!!

Quite spicy, even on mild levels. But extremely nice staff and great food. Vegetarian friendly as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent food! And the fact that all the gluten free dishes are clearly marked is a plus for my wife who has celiac disease. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Tupelo!

We stopped over in Tupelo to meet a friend and decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. We ordered the appetizer sampler, green curry, pad thai, and another duck this. All in all the food was great. The appetizers, green curry, and pad thai were tasty. However the duck left much to be desired. The sauce was ok, but the duck looked and felt very dry. It was almost like jerky consistency. That was not the hidden surprise though. The establishment needs to keep a good eye on their hot sauce containers. We found a very long piece of hair in there, half way into our food. When I informed the wait-staff all that was done was a replacement of the sauce. It would have been nice for management to come and apologize for the inconvenience, but no one ever came. Hopefully if we visit the next time we won't have another hair incident

Amazing food and great prices. The best thai food I have ever had. The curry duck was perfect! The restaurant itself is clean and beautifully decorated. The staff are very polite. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Food here is always great. The restaurant itself is very spacious and well laid out. The Drunken Noodle is excellent. Favorite Thai restaurant in Tupelo. Each time I've been, it's not been real busy, which is a disappointment, as I hope this place makes it. If you like Thai food, this is the place to go.

I have watched as three different Thai restaurants have opened (and one closed) over the past several years in Tupelo, and while my very favorite one was the one that closed, Thai Garden runs a close second. In fact, I would really like to give Thai Garden 4.75 stars. It's not quite five stars yet, but I think it could get there easily if it wants to. For me, the measure of a really good Thai restaurant is the quality of its Tom Yum and/or Tom Kha Kai. These coconut-broth soups are not easy to make, and the flavors are complex and must be delicately balanced. Thai Garden comes very close to doing this -- not perfect, but close enough to let me know that there is a real Thai chef in the kitchen. The curries are exquisite. Massaman has a buttery richness that manages to keep from being too heavy, and the vegetables are always cooked to the perfect texture, never mushy. Meats are done well here too, though I personally prefer tofu for my curry dishes. A surprising treat on the menu is the sweet and sour dish (again, you choose your meat). As a rule, sweet and sour chicken/pork/tofu/whatever is rarely unique from Asian restaurant to Asian restaurant, but Thai Garden's sweet and sour sauce has a surprisingly light fruitiness to it. It sounds strange to say so, but this dish almost tickles my taste buds. It is charming, which is a word that I've never used to describe a food before, but it fits in this case. Portion sizes of entrees are generous, so I have not yet had room to try any of the desserts on the menu, but apparently there is actually a dessert chef tucked away back in the kitchen somewhere. Nowhere in Tupelo will you find the array of sophisticated desserts that Thai Garden offers, and no, they are not all Asian-themed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is extraordinarily calming, and the decor is very zen, although a few hints of the previous tenant's decor remain. (It was a Mexican restaurant until a few months ago.) Service is attentive without being obtrusive, which I appreciate very much. Lunch is very reasonably priced, particularly considering the portion sizes. Dinner can be pricey, but again, there is a lot of skill in the Thai Garden kitchen, so you get what you pay for. Yes, this restaurant is very near to five stars, and it is by far the best Thai restaurant in Tupelo at this time. I'd venture to say it is the best Asian restaurant, in fact.

So, maybe I came on a bad night. The food was cold, there was only one server, and frankly, we left the restaurant feeling ripped off. I felt like my curry had been prepared for a different time and reheated for my plate. Regardless, it tasted so bad I felt like I needed to warn others!

Love the food. The restaurant has a very nice ambience. But food is pricey. So I have it once a month or when I am in celebratory mood. But I tell you when I want to have my taste bud have a nice time I go to Thai gardens.
