I go here on occasion with my friend for a few drinks. Always a good experience. Love the catfish nachos as well. Great little quaint bar, sometimes has live music. Right in the middle of downtown. Almost makes it seem like Tupelo is an actual city.

I was excited because Yelp categorizes this place as vegan as well. I don't see anything in the menus. Definitely not advertised. Anyone have vegan food here?

If you are from out of town, this place may come as a bit of a shock or a bit of a cultural discovery, depending on how you look at it. While Tupelo rolls up the sidewalks very early, this place runs until the midnight bell tolls. It was very busy on the Friday night of my visit. Here are the good and bad points... 1. They may have live music inside. 2. They have outdoor seating, but this is mainly taken by smokers. 3. Of the 4-5 bottled beers available, Heineken was the most exotic. Michelob Ultra seemed to be the popular choice. 4. Service is either terrible or you know the routine and roll with it. 5. They do have a full bar, but I wouldn't temp highly complicated concoctions. 6. The place is loud and fun, or just loud. It is definitely a casual place to go in Tupelo for some local experience and Michelob Ultra.

I've been coming to this old school bar for years and years... Sad to see some had less than 5* reviews... Guess they were thinking high class restaurant... This place is high class fun! Old school attitude meets friends and fun... Don't miss this hold over in time! Great place

meh. not great, not terrible. service was dicey, but they were pretty busy. I ordered a pastrami and Swiss, got a burger. asked for a water, I got a beer. they did make me a pastrami and Swiss though, for me to take home, when I told them about the mistake. "A" for effort. Beer selection not amazing. Cute though.

Walked by it and decided to have lunch, we liked the fact that is more like a bar but the food was very good. Great service

Food seemed pretty pedestrian bar food. Don't bother bringing a group of people here in the evening, the place is small and they'll be packed. On top of that, service is slow and spotty.

Run, don't walk, to The Stables for lunch on weekdays and for brunch on Saturdays. On weekdays, you'll find a meat and vegetable special like hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy or fried chicken and black-eyed peas. Saturday brunch features fabulous fruit, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, and sausage. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. You'll be full and happy when you leave!

Great place to socialize but I wasn't impressed with the portions or quality of the food

It's more of a bar than restaurant, but don't write it off 'cause of that. The catfish nachos are delicious be sure and try those.
