The selection of Asian food is incredible. Sushi is the freshest in town.

Good sushi, great rolls, and good service. The deco could use an update, chairs are very worn. I would go back .

I can't believe it, good sushi & sashimi in Tupelo! Service was great the food was even better, and I was worried about have sushi in Tupelo I live in Atlanta and grow up in south Florida, and I know seafood 2 thumbs up
(5)Phikul C.
Great great great. Sushi and sashimi were fresh. Loved it. But they didnt have what i want when i went in, sweet shrimp. Also, the appetizer werent that great. Good sushi & good lo mein veggy

I was impressed with the quality of the sushi here. The fish was very fresh and its always nice to get real crab instead of the imitation stuff. I eat a lot so it can get pricey if you order more than two sushi rolls and a couple beers. They also have some Thai dishes that looked really good. I plan on coming back next time I'm in Tupelo for business.
(4)Ryan C.
Stopped while traveling through town. Sushi was good. Very big pieces of fish, which is different than a number of sushi places that give you a sliver of fish around a bed of rice. Would go back.
(4)Michael C.
We were disappointed in the nigiri and sashimi, which was not very fresh. Then the sushi maker stopped by our table and suggested we pair a little daikon radish with each bite of fish to make the fish taste better. It was our guess that most locals come in for Chinese or Thai, so the sushi fish stays lonely most of the time and would be fresher if the inventory were turned more often. It didn't make us ill, it just wasn't nearly as good as most we have had, and we do sushi very regularly. Can't agree with the reviewer(s) who said the decor was good ... the upholstery on most of the booths looked like someone had taken a belt sander to it. Hopefully the owner will see fit to plow a little cash back into the business to get that fixed. So the two stars is because of the sushi fish and the decor ... but if you're after chow mein or whatever, this might be a good place.

This place has fantastic sushi and good import beers. Definitely coming back. This is my new place for sushi.
(4)Bill R.
Good sushi. Good bentos. Service has always been fair, but a little slow. Decent pricing, I've always had table service here - never tried the hibachi.

Dropped by while on a business trip. The first night we only got a couple rolls, an appetizer and some soup. Our waitress was great and the food was surprisingly very good. The 2nd visit, we came with more people and ordered many more items. Everything was great, rolls are good as well as the entrees.
(4)Elisa S.
Unfortunately, this restaurant experience was a bit mixed. Their specialty rolls are very good but their standard rolls are only adequate. The pad Thai was extremely heavy on the fish oil. We were not planning to spend two hours at lunch, so be prepared to spend a leisurely lunch hour (closer to two) there.
(2)Chris B.
The Hulk and BMW Rolls are Wonderful! In a good location surrounded by a couple other good eat stops!
(5)Jeff B.
Love eating here for lunch and dinner. The sushi and Chinese/Japanese/Thai cuisine is very good. I love that you can get a 3 types of food under one roof. They have lunch specials that are great the bento box has a ton of food in it. My only complaint is that the service can be slow when they are busy, but you always get a good product can't rush quality I guess. I recommend you stop by and try it out.

The food is about a 3 stars in my book, but the decor, service, and the fact that the owner was brave enough to put a fairly trendy Pan-Asian restaurant in a small town deserves another star. I am not sure how well this place will do because even on a Saturday, the restaurant was only partially full. The decor was open and modern with a bold red and black color theme. The bathroom was gorgeous with white and red motif stone tiles and unique red basins. Service was attentive and we didn't have to ask for water refills. The food was not authentic by any means, but they were at least tasty for the most part. sesame noodles-A nice appetizer or a light entree for one. The noodles were al dente with a fragrant peanut sesame sauce. It was a little on the sweet side compare to the authentic version. chicken and lettuce package-This was a generous sized appetizer. The minced chicken was too salty by itself, but tasted very good when placed inside the lettuce wraps. Seafood style hot pot-The freshness of the seafood exceeded my expectation. I did not detect any fishiness or ammonia taste from the seafood. The shrimp, calamari, and sea scallops were cooked till they were just done and the vegetables still retained some crispness. There were a few chunks of imitation crab meat, but no fishcakes being used as a cheap filler. Black pepper beef with honey sauce-The only dish I didn't care for. The breading for the beef was too thick and absorbed way too much sauce. Valentine roll and Spider roll-We only got two rolls to try here and didn't have a high expectation for them. Fortunately, my expectation was wrong. The spider roll was fine, but the Valentine roll really satisfied my raw fish craving. It had generous amount of raw tuna and raw salmon. Both fish were fresh with a smooth and tender texture. The lemon added a refreshing element to the roll.

Sooooo good. Very slow on the service tho. I can understand if the place was packed but there were only 2 other parties there and small ones at that!! But the food was great.
(4)Bostic B.
Great food, portions and decor. It's also very fair priced and the staff are always great. We always ask for the same waitress every time we stop by.(Ashley) Never have to wait on her for anything. Not sure how some people think this place is bad...but then again, the same guy said save your money and eat Chinese at the mall, no offense but come on
(5)Ken D.
Had the Pad Thai. It had a great flavor! Portions were good and so was service. I recommend!
(5)Jason J.
So much unfulfilled potential... My colleagues and I stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was nearly empty which is great if you want to be seated early, but was a bit disconcerting since it led the server to ask us 3 times in less than 5 minutes if we were ready to order. As to the food - I ordered the seafood hot pot which was actually pretty tasty. Octopus, shrimp, scallops, fish and krab flake. However, it could have been quite a bit spicier it would have really soared! The decor was a little too well worn. It seemed as if a substantial amount of money had been spent on decor during the initial build but nothing had been spent on upkeep. Overall, Mist proved to be satisfactory but I'm in no rush to come back on my next trip to Tupelo.
(3)Nick B.
The Norma roll was AMAZING! Great place to grab a quick bite on the way to Memphis.

Of the many Asian restaurants in this town, Mist is the one I prefer. It's not the best Asian restaurant ever, but it does a nice job of providing several distinct cuisine flavors (Thai, Japanese, Chinese) at reasonable prices. The sushi is really excellent. In fact, Mist's sushi is far and away the best in town. In terms of appetizers, I would recommend any of the soups, the cucumber and crab salad, or the tuna tataki. For sushi, my personal favorite is the volcano roll but it's pretty heavy. If you prefer lighter, cleaner flavors, try the yalagi roll or the sashimi appetizers. There is one sashimi combo with two pieces each of tuna, salmon, red snapper and yellowtail, and I enjoy it very much. As far as entrees with rice, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Be sure to let your server know your preference for spiciness. They will try very hard to accommodate you. As a side note, Mist has the best brown rice I've ever tasted. The white rice and fried rice are excellent too, but Mist has actually made me love brown rice. The servers are good, and the ambiance is nice. There are a couple of tables that can accommodate larger groups, and there are plenty of booths that provide a bit of privacy for conversation.

This is place excellent when it comes to service, ambiance, portions. It does not stop here, they give you a basket of fried wanton with dip. It makes a perfect starters to your meal. We ate here for lunch they give you soup which very good too. I doubt you can find any fault with this restaurant. The food is excellent too. The general Tso chicken is excellent. We tried red curry and it turn out good too. It was just too thick and creamy for my taste.
(4)Aaron G.
I'm not sure what standards these other people have, but this was exceptional sashimi and just great sushi. My wonton soup was the best I ever had. I had great food and service! Tupelos best in my opinion!
(5)Robert S.
This is an exquisite restaurant. Tried it on a whim, and it is phenomenal! The atmosphere is pleasing, but the food is simply stunning! I will come back every time I am in Tupelo. Some of the best chinese food anywhere.
(5)Jennifer R.
I really like the atmosphere here but as others have said, the price keeps me from coming back more often. The rolls here are good but smaller than other places I've been but cost more. Our service when we went one Saturday at lunch was actually perfect. Our server was there when we needed her but didn't hover. I would have probably given another star if they were less expensive, or the rolls were larger to compensate for it.
(3)Clint M.
If Pon K. is gonna give 2 reviews of this, so am I. I'm going to battle for this place. Thai dishes here are very good, and the chinese dishes are great! Can't beat Kung Pao or General Tso's. Sushi and apps are great here too. Plus, if nothing else, go for the wontons they serve like chips with that awesome sauce.
