Great restaurant in Tupelo, fresh salads and meals, great service, great ambiance and varied menu for everyone. It's a very nice restaurant, semi dark ambient lighting, don't trip getting into the booth. We had great service from friendly, knowledgable wait staff. We had salads, colleague had the crab cake salad, tasty, other had the Caesar with chicken, delicious, I had the Asian salmon salad - yummy, moist grilled salmon, greens dressed in Asian vinaigrette, oranges and baby tomatoes...yummy. Freshly prepared foods, using local ingredients and Flavors, great restaurant.

Harveys has been around a while but the food is good and atmosphere great. It's a great place for drinks and appetizers or a meal. The food is a step up from blue plate but retains a southern flare. The staff is very friendly. If you are in the Golden Triangle you can find there other locations in both Starkville and Columbus.

My wife and I had a great experience. We were out celebrating the fact we found out we were going to have a baby boy. Our server Amanda was very kind and did a great job. The food was delicious and came out very quickly. The manager even came by several times to see if everything was going fine. I would definitely recommend eating here. By the way ask for Amanda and order the shrimp and grits. They were both superb.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Just passing through, it's close to my hotel and has good reviews. Shared crab cakes for the app. So good! Lots of crab with great mustard sauce and amazing garnish. I could/should have made a meal of that and the house salad. Ordered the focaccia chicken sandwich and loved it although I simply couldn't eat that much so I left most of the yummy bread. Dinner partner ordered prime rib which was overcooked and sent back. Took no time to replace with perfectly cooked and even larger serving. Served by manager who was wonderful. Excellent service and excellent all around!

My all-time favorite restaurant in Tupelo. We've average dining at Harvey's twice a month. It's not always perfect, but when it's not, Chase always makes it right. Our favorite appetizer is the Firecracker Shrimp with jimaca slaw. My husband usually gets the prime rib, rare and I prefer the beef filet. This week this is what we had. His prime rib was perfect and I tried the horseradish crust on my filet. I was not disappointed. One can also choose a blue cheese crust. Kris was our server and could not have been more attentive and professional. We will certainly ask for her again when we return and make no mistake, WE WILL.

My friend and I stopped in on the way back from vacation for a good, quick dinner. Good selection on the menu from steaks, seafood, pasta to burgers and sandwiches. We got the quiche special. $8.95 for a slice of quiche, fresh fruit and side salad. Really fresh and very good. The service was EXCELLENT! Seriously some of the best I've experienced anywhere. Super friendly staff from the servers to Amy, the manager. She heard we were passing through and new to the restaurant and treated us to their signature bread pudding dessert. DELICIOUS!

What a welcome to Tupelo. Excellent service, great food and worthy of a five star review. I had just arrived in Tupelo and wasn't exactly excited to be immediately running to a dinner, but as soon as we got in to the food, that changed. We started with the broccoli bites. I'm not much of a broccoli eater, but when they're deep fried with cheese and bacon with a side of honey mustard, things change. I had the Delta Chicken and it was absolutely perfect. The right amount of seasoning, great tasting sauces and jus for the garlic mashed potatoes. Our server was fantastic and was just the right amount of attentive without feeling like he was hovering. We never had an empty glass the entire meal. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in Tupelo looking for a great dinner.

We had a great stopover in Harvey's while on a cross-country bicycle journey. We were between lunch and dinner time so sat at the bar and had 2 starters: the award-winning Broccoli Bites and the Black Eye Pea Hummus. Both were excellent, fresh tasting and perfect with a beer after biking 40 miles. Branden (sp) was tending bar and took great care of us. He was so friendly and interested in our journey. We had a great time and highly recommend Harvey's- great food and Southern hospitality!

Had Sunday lunch there today for the first time. We didn't have to wait for a table, but there were definite "issues" at the hostess stand. There was a whole lot of circling, ex-ing, highlighting, talking into the headset, etc for a restaurant with no wait. Strange. As we were lead to our table, the hostess mumbled that someone needed to "just deal with it." I got the impression there was something going on we were not aware of. Not a good start. After we sat down, someone came to take our drink orders. Very polite. Informed us that she was not our waitress. When our waitress did appear, she apologized for the delay... and blamed it on having too many tables. Made me think she didn't want us to be there. Bad service and poor lighting aside, our food was excellent. I had the Fettuccine Romano and it arrived exactly as described. Very tasty. Dessert was The Brownie and was also very nice. Tasty entree and dessert = $20. Not bad. Improve the decor and service and this is 5 stars for sure!

Cali girl in the deeeeep south... like totally. I'm definitely not a prime rib fan, much less a prime rib sandwich, but oh my sweet Jesus. I inhaled my sandwich in less than 5 minutes... potato salad included haha. It's no joke. That was by far one of the best meals I had in Mississippi. It was so good I came back for dinner to have the prime rib! Cool factor: they got menus in Japanese! Yeah, kid you not.. Thanks, Toyota! You have to visit Tupelo to know what I'm talking about. ADVISORY: Really make a conscious effort to chew at least 10 times before you swallow. Don't be an idiot like me & get heartburn afterwards. Oh, and it's like the darkest restaurant ever. Don't think they ever turn on any lights! But, trust me, you don't need to READ anything, just tell your server "a prime rib sandwich with potato salad, domo arigato!"

I am sad to say this, but Harvey's is on the decline. Service is still among the better in town MOST of the time (but avoid the curbside -- they will ignore you all day long), but quality control in the kitchen is shot. Our party of four ordered a fish special (can't recall details as it wasn't my order), two marinated steaks, and one Delta chicken. Fish: Was good, according to the person who ordered it, but it lacked the sauce that was promised. Server promised to get it, forget twice, then brought back a congealed pinkish sauce in a ramekin. When the diner tried to drizzle is over her fish, it fell out in a clump. Disgusting to see, and the diner could not make herself eat it. At the end of the meal, the server cleared her plate, noted the clump of sauce, and said, "Oh, you didn't like the sauce?" with apparently legitimate surprise. I would bet that his tip was adversely affected by that comment. Steaks: One was ordered medium, and one was ordered medium well. Both arrived medium rare. One person kept his, and the other person sent hers back to be cooked medium well. It was returned to her absolutely burned, and her baked potato had been removed from the plate. The waiter never brought a replacement potato, and the steak was inedible. Delta chicken: This was my order. The mashed potatoes that come with the chicken were delicious, as always, and so was the gravy on the chicken. The bird itself was disturbingly rubbery. This is an entree that used to be reliably perfect, but no more. This is the second time in recent weeks that I've ordered the Delta chicken and received sub-par meat. We were really unhappy with our meals and did not want to chance dessert being equally bad, so we paid our bill and walked over to Tellini's and consumed some wonderful tiramisu for dessert.

Not much to look at form the outside! We ate at Harvey's for dinner while passing through on the NTP. The staff was great. The food was above average. The flavors were fresh and original. I would highly recommend the Prime Rib and BBQ Ribs . Also the fried cheese and broccoli cheese appetizer was delicious. The ambiance is great as well! Really friendly people.

The food was very good, but the portions seemed small. This is one of the darkest restaurants that I've ever eaten in too, however it works toward there advantage and the atmosphere of a really fine dinning experience. I had the tuna dinner with a kabob of vegetables that was very good, however they didn't serve it with any sides of any type. No soy-genger or wasobie sauce. Over all, this place is really nice and I'll need to consider other options for my next meal.

Another blast from the past on the Tupelo food trail. Every town has or had a Harveys, Again snaps for anything lasting 30 years or more. The decor is the same as the day it opened and it feels like a cross between the Sizzler and Stuart Andersons Black Angus Steakhouse. We sat in a little booth and enjoyed a rocking good caesar salad and split a King Prime Rib. The rib was a bit rare rather than medium and a tad chewy, the veggies that came with it were almost cinder like but you know it was still a nice experience, service was really good and I must say super friendly with zero attitude, all this and 3 glasses of wine $39 - cant argue with that folks for value.

I am a regular Harvey's visitor. The best thing on the menu are their broccoli bites for appetizer and the delta chicken for the entree. Delish!! They always have excellent customer service. The Thursday soup of the day is also really good which is the chicken and corn chowder. You should eat it with saltine crackers because the sweetness of the soup clashes with the wafer crackers. I agree that it's a little pricey for the portions but well worth it.

Comfortable, friendly, reasonably priced----you just cant go wrong here. And they even let us store our camera in the managers office while we ate. There was good reason why we came back more than once and I promise I will be back again if I am ever in the friendly town of Tupelo.
