It is So Nice to have a real gourmet restaurant inside the city limits of Tunica, before Cafe Marie you would have to drive to one of the Casinos for a gourmet meal. Please don't ever leave Tunica Marie!

I dare you to find a sweeter group of people in Mississippi. We had cold beers, great gourmet food, and the best easy conversations with this lovely family that owns the place. Very cute and a hotel upstairs to boot. If you are in Tunica, go here!

Not quite as good as I remembered. Everything was a bit bland. Otherwise it was nice and quiet with decent atmosphere.

We stopped by Cafe Marie to have a business lunch. It is a place with much charm and history as it was once a hotel. We had a group of nine people and were looking for a private setting to have a discussion over lunch. Upon arrival we asked if we could get a private room and they gladly accommodated us. The waitress was prompt in asking us for our drink orders and was very patient when we waited awhile for one person. She checked in just the right amount and made sure ours drinks were kept full. After ordering she brought out baskets of bread which was good. I had the crawfish etouffee which came with a side of fruit cocktail. The étouffée was a bit on the salty side for me but otherwise was vey good. The fruit cocktail was the kind out of the can so it was fine. It was nice to find such a nice restaurant in downtown Tunica!

Went here for lunch after seeing it mentioned in one of the tourist brochures. It is on a side street inside an old hotel in downtown Tunica. At 11:45 AM, I was the first patron to appear for lunch. The dining room was empty, while the Blue and White Restaurant up the street was packed. Not a very good sign, but I decided to try it anyway. The small dining room was very comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. A couple more tables were occupied shortly after I arrived. The service was better than average. The lunch menu is quite limited with relatively few choices. I chose a fried chicken salad, which comes in both small ($8.00) or large ($11.00) sizes. I ordered the large. The salad was fine........quite good, but not anything special or over the top. I would categorize it as medium-sized. At $11.00, I would say it was over-priced by about 20%. I enjoyed it for lunch and would probably return if I am again in the area.

Well they have changed chefs and staff a few times. The Caribbean Chicken Salad is still the best. A little to pricey for lunch.

In Tunica for a few days and found this restaurant by accident. Its tucked in a side street in downtown. It is a charming place. I was impressed with my lunch. I had the She Crab soup which was very tasty with sweet crab meat. It was a bit salty to my taste but delicious anyway. I also had the blue plate special which was lasagna. That was also very good. The sauce was fresh tasting and the noodles were cooked perfectly. They brought me a cup of canned fruit salad which surprised me as I haven't eaten canned fruit salad in years. It surprisingly was a nice ending to the meal. Definitely worth a visit.

What a disappointment. Make sure you call before going. The web page says they are open on Monday. We drove 12 miles one way to eat there and there was no one in sight and the place was locked up tight. They need to keep their info up to date. Makes me hesitant to try it again the next time I am in this area. I had to select one star to proceed, but at this time I really can't give it any stars.
