Great drinks. Food is ok. Not as good as it used to be. The quailty has gone down over the years. Did I mention the great drinks.

Pretty decent place, but a little overpriced if you don't have a coupon (coupons are easy to come by for students). Lunch buffet is pretty damn good.

I love the food here. My favorite pizza is the Great White. I also enjoy the Pasta Primavera. They bring out bread before your meal but now you have to ask them for it and I like the bread that they use to use better, but the new bread is not bad. Service can be not so good at times. It really depends on the server. My husband and I eat there often so we have come to know the good severs.

Love this place! I have not had anything from here that was not good! Their pastas are amazing! Even the basic spaghetti and meatballs are to die for! The pizza is also delicious! The atmosphere is upbeat and fun! They also have a bar and they make some amazing mixed drinks! There staff there are also awesome and very attentive!

The place is normally ok, but this day was terrible. Our server was named Chad and he was terrible. He couldn't remember the drink order and he did not bring any bread which is what you are suppose to get. He even corrected my boyfriend in pronouncing a menu item. Chad did not ask us if we wanted any dessert and he brought the check really fast considering he barely came to the table, he also only refilled my boyfriend's glass once and did not refill mine at all. The place is ok food wise but a little overpriced for the quality of the food.

Pretty blah. Small serving of a vegetarian dish. Had to ask for sauce. No bread with entree. Will look elsewhere for Italian.

Good food and service. Ordered the Godfather pasta which had great flavor and was served hot. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Pretty cool atmosphere for MS State (no offense).

Food is below average, if compared to local Italian Restaurants in most communities. Although the pizzas are decent, there are a number of places in Starkville to get a better pizza, Strombolis and Lost Dog Pizza are examples. I had the stuffed eggplant, which was just bad. A thick, tough piece of eggplant with a little marinara over the fried batter. My wife had the lasagna, which I believe was probably prepared by Sodexo, delivered frozen and then warmed for serving when ordered.

Used to eat here a lot in college (and loved it) but my wife and I just stopped by to watch the second half of the MSU game, and was directed to sit in the bar by the hostess. That was fine because we sat right in front of the TV and no one was in there. We waited 15 minutes and no one came by to get our drink orders or even give us menus. No one was in there and the wait staff just stood around socializing, one waitress was even reading the newspaper!! A man came in after us and was tended to, which pissed us off. We left and walked over to Mugshots.

I liked Old Venice anyway, but I recently discovered they re-did their lunch special, and now? Now, I LOVE Old Venice. It's never very busy at lunch time, which I can only take to mean that most of Starkvegas has not discovered just how fantastic their new lunch deal is. It's certainly way better than the lunch buffet that they used to have. For less than $10, you get nice fresh bread, a huge salad (house or Greek), and the specialty pizza of the day. Not a slice, but the whole damn pizza. Is there a better lunch option? I think not.

Crowded and the front room was a little loud, but great college town atmosphere. Ran out of cups for drinks so we got to go styrofoam, didn't bother us, but will put some off. Pizza was good lots of toppings, sauce has a little zing. We had 3 pasta dishes, also and they were all slightly above average. Just a pretty good college town pizza and pasta joint. They did run out of Guinness on sat? Forgot to stock up on weekend?

I haven't tried something that I didn't like. Their mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese give me lifeeeee. Okay maybe a little extreme but it is truly delicious and those are my top recommendations. Their blue plate is an AMAZING deal.

I had visited Old Venice once before, and I recalled it as a pretty positive experience. We had food that we enjoyed and the service was fine. This most recent visit was extremely disappointing. Upon arriving, my husband and I had to step over a guitar case sitting on the sidewalk to get in the door. At the hostess station, we stood around waiting for a good three to five minutes before anyone noticed we were there. There is no mixed drink menu, only beer and wine, so come up with your own drinks on the spot if you want them. There was a plastic stand menu of champagne cocktails, most of which the waiter told us were "not good". At one point he came back from the bartender and told us that Tuaca was an almond liqueur which was "nasty". I googled it at the table and it's actually vanilla citrus liqueur. It took a little longer than it should have for our pizza to arrive, and when it did, there was an inexplicable thick coating of black grease all over the underside of the crust, which was otherwise not bad. There was way too much cheese on the pizza, it was like a thick chewy blanket smothering everything. We each had one slice, waited for the server to make an appearance, asked for the check and left. I left feeling as though the entire visit was a huge waste of time and money (pretty overpriced considering the quality of food and service) and I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

What a lackluster place. I was strong-armed into attending a wedding in Starkvegas with dinner on our own. Old Venice was nearby and probably wouldn't poison us. Our day was super stressful so all we really wanted was food and beer and to be left in peace. Starting off: two hostesses and a server gave my wife and I nasty looks for being two ladies holding hands in public. Then: I asked our server about the beer selection. She shrugged and offered me a Bud Light. I went to visit the bartender to see what my options were instead, and it was pretty sad. Swill, swill, and more swill...with a bottle of Lazy Magnolia thrown in. I guess I expected a little better. Later: Our food took forever. It wasn't great. No taste sensations stuck with me. (We had a pizza. Just one.) Getting refills was like pulling teeth. (Then again, I did wish for some peace and quiet instead of more taxing social chitchat.) Our server stopped by three times to refill the various boxes and bottles on our table, but she didn't pay any attention to us. (Why anyone would refill the stuff on our table while we're sitting there eating is beyond me.) It was just rude, and I got the impression that she wasn't happy waiting on a pair of Teh Gayz. I decided to be super fabulous and leave her a good tip anyway. Accessibility notes: Doors open in. Not much space to maneuver mobility devices. No braille menus or signage. Can get loud for hard of hearing customers.

The manager did contact me concerning my original post of displeasure, and I have to commend him for that. It is posted for everyone to see in a reply to my post. Very professional, and I had said in my post that I hoped that managers actually looked at apps like Yelp, and clearly they do. That's smart management. It has been months since that bad visit, and I have not been back. But perhaps I'll try soon. I know the manager would probably give me and my guests a free meal, but that's not what I want. I'll never go in and announce "I'm that a-hole from Yelp", I'm not trying to get something for nothing, and I respect the managers response. This is an official thank you.
