Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My sister and I took our parents for their 61st wedding anniversary. They love eating at Olive Garden so it was the place to celebrate their special day! I ordered the Create a Sampler for our appetizer. We chose the toasted ravioli, stuffed mushrooms, and toasted zucchini. SO DELICIOUS!!!!! They bring enough of each portion for four people to have plenty. I ordered the Pappardelle Pescatore, which had shrimp, clams, and bay scallops atop pasta, and asparagus on top of the dish. Again, SO DELICIOUS!!!!! The raspberry cheesecake was my take home treat, and there are not enough words to describe how YUMMY this dessert is. It is a perfect blend of plain cheesecake with raspberry swirls in an Oreo cookie crust. Our waitress was perhaps one of the best servers I have ever had and paid great attention to our every need. It was a wonderful dinner!

This review is for their take-out service. On two occasions now, I've been placed on hold for over 15 minutes, while trying to place an order. Eventually someone picks up the phone, because I'm sure it'll automatically do a call-back, and right after you tell them you want to place a carry-out order, you're right back on hold. This restaurant needs to address this issue. The food is standard Olive Garden. No complaints there. Please just fix your take-out call time.

What's not to like here? We were told we would have to wait an hour for a table but that wasn't the case. We waited maybe 20 minutes. Our service and food was spot on great. We had the four course meal deal they having going on. I had salad and my girl had the soup, called Pasta Fagioli. Both were great. Next we both got the Crispy Risotto Bites, as tony they tiger would say, they're grrrrreat! Next I had the Smoked Mozzarella Chicken. It was okay, like only 3-4 little pieces of chicken. She had the Shrimp Alfredo. She said it was to die for, so I guess that means it was good? Finally it was sweets time. I had the Strawberry&White Chocolate and she had the Dark Chocolate Caramel Cream. Both were super delicious. Place was super busy but our waiter was the best. Service was top-notch.

Overall enjoyed our visit! Food was good, bread sticks a little hard. Husband had new Parmesan shrimp pasta that was awesome and I had the classic shrimp Alfredo (sub angel hair pasta). Waitress kept the glasses full and checked on us several times.

The best restuarant in Southaven! In 2011 the Olive Garden was named business of the year!!

To our server; Don't assume your customer is well over 30 when ordering a drink, especially when they are 24. Also had to wait 10-15 minutes on a slow night for the server to walk by the table 7-8 times. At that point, we just got up and walked out. Awful experience.

Ordered dinner for pickup & they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived at restaurant & the order was not ready. The cashier said that it would be a few more minutes which ended up being another 15 minutes.

The service and the salad were good. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. It was watery and bland. It made fast food like Fazoli's look authentic. The bread sticks were also bland and stale.

Not sure how this chain stays open. Gave them another shot last night...the only thing good about Olive Garden nowadays is the freshly made salad & breadsticks. All the other food, especially the raviolis with marinara is so bland & dry. Not enough sauce, not enough mozz on top & mozz wasnt even heated up enough. Disappointing visit once again. No more Olive Garden for me.

It's Olive Garden, its pretty straightforward, what can I say which others haven't! Clean restaurant, the wait staff and bar tender were very attentive and personable. Good conversation. Nicely done on suggesting dishes from the menu. Could do a little bit more reading up on pairing wines with food, but then as I said it's the Garden.

One of my sister and I's favorite spots. No matter the time or day, we have always experienced great service and great food. We love the fact that when there the inside of the restaurant sounds like the commercial (the clacking of utensils on the plates) giving us a bit of an unreal experience. We usually go with out the hubbysm but with the kids, and again the service is great along with the accomodating seating. The last visit we took our younger brother out for his birthday. Again great, food, service, accomodating seating, this was October 11, 2010.
