Nice location and ambience! Steak was not as specified, but service was awesome. I'll give them a chance, definitely felt pampered. If you're in Jackson MS, get out to the Renaissance mall area in Ridgeland, lots of options there.

I made my reservation via open table. It was well received and the staff didn't have any trouble finding it. We were seated probably and attended to by two great staff members. Granted this was a New Year's Eve reservation and the restaurant overall, was relatively full. Luckily this didn't have any impact on our service. As I've grown two become accustomed to the food was outstanding. Most notable was the lobster mac& cheese and are crabcakes. The next time I'm in Jackson I would definitely not hesitate to venture out to this Ruth's Chris.

My wife and I have been going to this location for several years, and there is a reason why that is...this place is great. Anniversary, birthday, graduation, and valentine's day - you name it and we have celebrated it at this location. The private tables and the staff have always made it a great experience....and the food, wow...yea it's great. Even though chef Enfinger is gone now - they have continued the great food preparation and taste. Perfect place for many different types of occasions.

This has to be my favorite restaurant! I have been twice so far and everything has been AWSOME. The first time was the best time. I had the shrimp cocktail appetizer then stuffed chicken with garlic mash and ice cream with cake for desert. The stuffed chicken was too die for. The second visit I had the blue crab cakes. It was great. Taste a lil fishy but the buttery flavor made them yummy. They bring all of your food out at 500 degrees so basically ur food is practically still sizzling and cooking when it comes to your table. The waitresses are sweet and the manager come out in his nice suit to greet you at the end of your meal. The service is excellent. I can't wait to go back again.

Perfect in every way. Always consistent! The food and the service are always spot on! I try to eat there at least once or twice a week. They are open Fridays for lunch so I try and make it a point to take a customer there most Fridays. They also have a great special from 4:30-6:30 that is truly a great value. Don't want to leave out that they have a great wine list too!

This is my A-1 favorite steakhouse in the Jackson area. It's also one of my two favorite restaurants period. Service is always great. I sometimes sit and eat at the bar and the waitresses are always awesome. I like my steaks medium but burned on the outside, which is hard to do. They always get it right. There are other good steakhouses in Jackson but this one is the best.

Biggest disappointment ever. Made reservations for this place last night and when we got seated after waiting half an hour past our reservation time it took them an hour and half to serve our food. The Caesar salad was salty and veal ravioli was over cooked and salty. My daughter was asleep before our main course came out so we took our meals to go.... Best thing here was the crunchy baked sheet of Parmesan crisp speckled with black pepper that decorated the side of the Cesar salad plate and the cheesecake I took to go. We vowed to never come back..

We made reservations online. We were seated immediately. Our table was attended to by everyone from the hostess, our server Revis, our assistant server, the manager and numerous others. We never felt rushed, but our food arrived at the table perfectly timed. We had crab cakes and stuffed mushrooms that were wonderful. She had the filet, blue and I had the Kansas City Strip, rare. Both were cooked perfectly as were our sides. A wine was suggested and sent to us based on our tastes and like everything else it was perfect. There was nothing bad about our experience but there was everything wonderful. The ambiance, the service, the food and the experience were what you SHOULD expect from Ruth's Chris and this restaurant lived up to everything the name implies.

I have eaten at many Ruth Chris across from Mobile to New Orleans. The Mobile relocation is my husband and my favorite, however; I was very pleased to find out tht the same family owns this location too. It was wonderful; the staff is well trained, educated about wine along with the menu items and able to articulate well. One of the best location in town to enjoy a beautiful meal.

If you haven't tried their small plates at the bar yet, you are missing out. The Ahi Tuna and Spciy Lobster are my favorites.
This place used to be good until this past year. 3 times now I have had incidents where I have ordered the large filet and they bring out the petite. Several times large parties were with us and they gave the large to someone who ordered a petite. The problem is they argue with you and tell you that the petite is the large. Last week I went there with my wife and damned if the same thing doesn't happen. I specifically ordered a large, "tall cut" filet and they bring out the small and tried to argue me down. Screw them and their lousy service. You will do better at Tico's, Parker House, Schimmel's, Char or Nick's. I acutally spoke to a regional manager about this 6 months ago and he gave me a free coupon. Sadly nothing has changed. It wouldn't be so bad if the Jr. College waiters didn't try to argue with you when everyone can see it is the wrong steak.

Typical Ruth's Chris. Great service and amazing steak.
Way overpriced!! If I'm going to pay that much for a meal, then I'll go to a Brazilian Steak house! I've had better steak at the local fish/steak house!! We will not be back!!

Exceptional service, great atmosphere, and all the special touches cannot begin to compensate for the poor quality of the food. I'm not sure what has happened to Ruth's Chris over the years, but it has become an overpriced strip mall restaurant, rather than an exquisite dining experience. Be prepared to spend around $75 per person for a meal that will NOT impress you, but service and facilities that will.

I wanted to come to Ruths Chris because i saw the head chef win a local Iron chef cooking competition against the head chef at Nicks last year. it is clear that he is not preparing or overseeing the food at this restaurant. Or at least not while we were there. Service was poor and the food was terribly inconsistent from what one would expect from this establishment. My food was cooked properly but a little salty (no big deal). My friends steak was not the way she ordered it. When she brought it to the servers attn there was attitude. Even when the manager came to the table rather than apologizing she asked to see the center of the steak. It was like she didn't believe the feedback. But the manager did see that my friend had a hard time cutting through it so began the process to get a new one prepared... It was difficult to accept how we were treated. My friend had to send the steak back multiple times. Our server and the manager treated us as though we were the problem. And because they were in a hurry to close up they eventually offered to take it off the bill. My friend was charged for the potatoes that she couldn't eat waiting for her steak as a remedy... They put ice box cold mashed potatoes in a to go container - they told us the kitchen was closed. Why would there ever be refrigerated potatoes at an establishment that should be making their selections fresh daily. It made me wonder if Gordon Ramsey needs to come to the rescue. That has got to be a kitchen nightmare of epic proportions. i shouldnt have to wonder if they microwave potatoes to serve to guests??!?!? Were they saving these for tomorrow's service? We left those potatoes on the table. They tried to chase us out the door to say we forgot them. They clearly didn't understand when I said: those are cold, It was almost comical. The only person who sincerely apologized was a different server I recognized so I called him over and explained. I have no plans to return to this eatery. It shouldn't be a part of the Ruth's Chris legacy. We would have been better off going to Applebee's for the steak and the service.

If you're the type of person that likes the quality of the meat to speak for itself, with a bit of butter, salt & pepper then give Ruth Chris' a try. You'll get great service, but if you prefer marinades, seasonings and spices then you will NOT like Ruth Chris'. The NY Strip is thicker & tougher than Strips at many places, too tough for me personally, so you might want to stick with the filet. It's probably not worth the cost compared to the other offerings in town, but thats subjective of course. The bathrooms are pretty amazing. Reservations were not at all necessary on a Friday night. Which doesnt bode well, considering a Ruth Chris' went under back when Northpark Mall was in it's prime. Perhaps southerner's like a little more seasoning.

I could not fall below 4 stars on this restaurant! Although the service Was great we waited over an hour for our meal which was unacceptable. I didn't care! I ordered the stuffed chicken with potatoes. The chicken was perfectly cooked with the correct temp. Juicy tender all you would want in your meal! Once I finished my dinner it didn't matter how long the wait was!

Yum Yum Yum!!! For a special occasion or a night where you want a REALLY good steak, Ruth's Chris is the place to go. You just can't get a bad steak here. They are consistently great. Tip: the steaks come served on a 500 degree plate. So if you like your steak medium well, you might want to order it medium, because the super hot plate continues to cook it a little. Just a thought. Another great thing about Ruth's Chris, is that you pick your sides and they are plenty for 3 or 4 people - so you can share. The spinach au gratin is a must! Oh, and I had a salad for the first time - the Harvest Salad - and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. Grilled corn, cranberries, goat cheese and pecans over fresh greens - it was delicious! And the service is the best you can find around!

I must say for the hype that the name brings, the food just did not deliver. I came here for a pharm dinner, and they offered the pre fix menu of salad, steak, two sides, and chocolate cake. The salad was uninspired, but I do give them credit for their standardization of exactly 2 half cherry tomatoes, well done assembly line kitchen. Steak was simply excellent, for a cheap wedding. C'mon guys, it was completely average. The chocolate cake was packed fudge, I couldn't eat it with a fork, it would have been better to go at it with tooth floss it was so damn dense. Overall a very disappointing visit, although the service was excellent.

My family and I came to have a good dinner, we did. Food was pretty ok, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I had the lamb chops they were a little more burnt than I like. The only problem that I had, was when I checked in on Yelp app and it mentioned that if I checked in I would receive and "special surprise". When I showed the staff NO ONE and I do mean NO ONE knew of the special surprise or even heard of it. Not knowing was OK, I don't mind sometimes places aren't aware of new changes. Where I encountered the problem was, it felt like management swept it under the rug after he personally said he would take care of it. We received our bill and I never saw management again, I asked and the waiter said he would check on it but I am not sure it he actually did.

The only reason I docked a star was the service wasn't up to their normal high level. They were training a lot of new staff it seemed. I also heard they have a new exec chef. As a fan of Chef Enfinger, I was saddened. However, as always--the food is perfection on a plate. I could forgive a lot as long as I can get a filet and some potatoes au gratin from here--not that I had anything to forgive. I love it when my hubby takes me here. My only complaint is that it is so good I always eat too much. We always start with the lobster bisque and a wedge salad. Followed by a filet -- more butter more better -- what else...oh, and surround the filet with some amazing sides like the potatoes or asparagus, and I love getting the crab stuffed mushroom app as a side with the steak. Nothing is better until you get to dessert, and this place has the best creme brûlée I have ever had (and I have tried it many a place).

I have dined at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, and Georgia, and I have to say this was my worst experience at Ruth's. I started eating at Ruth's 30 plus years ago. They were a great steakhouse, a comfortable steakhouse. This experience at Madison, Mississippi, was disappointing on several levels. First, it was pretentious. There were people hovering around you. If I took a sip of water, they had to replace that sip. You could not carry on a conversation without one or two standing within hearing range. When they brought out the food, it took an entourage to deliver it. It would not have been so bad but the tables were so close together, they had trouble getting in place so that they might synchronize their plating. I had the 16 ounce rib eye. Their claim is that they serve USDA Prime meat, top 2% of all beef. Our waiter made sure we knew that their steaks are cooked at 1,800 degrees and served on a 500 degree plate. The expectations are high. You expect a great steak. It was a good steak but it was not a great steak and certainly it was not worth $41.00. My wife can pick a better steak at Winn Dixie and I can cook it better than the one I had at Ruth's. The steak was tough. It was properly cooked, a perfect medium rare. But it was not a great, tender steak. Let me reiterate, it was a good steak, but it was not a great steak. You do not go to Ruth's for a good steak, you can do that anywhere. And, I must say, it did not meet the quality of other Ruth's. However, the side orders were very good. The stand out was the creamed spinach. I recently ate at a local steakhouse and the steak was as good as Ruth's, though it was not prime. But they had a nasty creamed spinach. But Ruth's excelled in their creamed spinach and their other side dishes that we ate. I did not eat dessert but did taste my friend's Crème brûlée. It was excellent. This experience will not deter me from going to Ruth's again. But I can get a good steak anywhere. I hope the next time I go, they meet their own standard of excellence.

Hosted a work dinner here tonight, and had the Oak Room. Room was perfect size for our group of 15, and we had A/V setup too. We started with the house salad, with the lemon vinaigrette. A little plain, but the dressing was good. The entree was awesome...I had the seared tuna, with crab meat and basil sauce, and it was great. We all shared the family style sides of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and sautéed mushrooms. All tasty. We finished with berries and cream dessert. Flavor was awesome, but needed a few more berries for the amount of creme. Overall, a nice business dinner, but still, very expensive.
