Super friendly people that serve amazing food! I love a good plate lunch and they did not disappoint. Also one of the cleanest restaurants I've eaten at downtown which is huge for me. Will definitely come back!

This place is very clean, healthy, and inviting. Love the knowledge of the cashier - she helped me find a gluten free option, without anything being labeled as Gf, so I didn't miss out on anything. I will definitely be coming back!

Thursday 9:10am. Zero customers. No chairs on patio, all chairs up on tables for floor mopping. Over an hour after opening. "You can take any table; you won't be in the way." Really? No thanks.

I've been going to Steve's since he opened. It's not my favorite place but it's in my building and is very convenient. They have the best Senagalese peanut chicken soup and quiche ever. But I have tremendous problems with their daily plate lunches. I'll find one I like and next time they will have changed the recipe, or the website will have something different listed than what they actually have on the premises, or they run out of items. Today is a perfect example. Today's plate lunch was advertised (both on the website and on the chalkboard inside) as BBQ pulled pork with cole slaw, baked beans and chipotle cornbread. Chipotle cornbread? OMGosh! Sounds wonderful!! So I place my order to go, they give it to me and I take it back up to my office. I open the container and the first thing I see is a piece of focacia bread, which I don't care for. I called them to ask where the chipotle cornbread is and was informed they ran out. Nobody bothered to tell me that or I would have ordered something else or went elsewhere. Take note that I got my order around 11:45 which I wouldn't consider too late for lunch and there's no excuse for them running out that soon, nor for not informing the customer they're not getting what they ordered. This has happened more times than I can remember. To add insult to injury, I wish I could post the picture I took of the pulled pork. A FULL 1/3rd of the order was big globs of unedible fat, even after I had specifically asked for extra lean. To be fair, the people who work there are SUPER nice and the flavor of their food is usually good, but if you decide to go there just know before you arrive that they may not have what you want (they run out of a things a LOT), and they may substitute something else for what you ordered without letting you know, so take out can be especially frustrating. I'm going to have to cut down even more the number of times I visit because at nearly $10 for a plate lunch that's too expensive to not get what I ordered.

Ordered a French dip... Loads of meat and good price. A bit slow on service but friendly. Could be great but seems like they are content with average!

Stopped by this place sort of by accident. I was traveling through town and wanted something quick that was near me. I made a great choice. The staff was courteous and prompt with their service. I ordered the Area 51. Wow, much better than I expected. I think the cream cheese was the secrete ingredient. Definitely a quality placed to check out.

The location was a bit tricky to find at first. I guessed it was the right place based on the outside seating but no visible sign from down the street (or none that I noticed). After making a block, I found a close by parking spot with no problem. I decided on the Cubano on a Poboy and got my husband the Smoked Brisket with Peach Chipotle wrap. Both were fantastic! I stole a bite of the brisket wrap and loved it. I will be back for my own someday soon. The staff was super nice as well. The lady behind the counter was very patient with me. I can be a bit indecisive at times. Overall, great experience. I will be back. Maybe for breakfast tomorrow!

I work downtown and eat here 2 times a week Consistently delicious. Try the Cubano sandwich paired with the Senegalese peanut soup. Strange combo I know,but wonderful.
