Great crawfish - a little pricey but everyone is with crawfish this year so about par on price in the area. We had a large group (40+) and the staff hooked us up. Great folks to deal with and very friendly.

This Louisiana girl definitely approves! The crawfish were awesome and the outdoor atmosphere is perfect on a gorgeous day! I'll be going back often!

Love this place! I'm not as big a fan of crawfish as shrimp. My family loves the crawfish, but their shrimp are so good, too. The shrimp are "ez peel", as in the shell is split - and also the membrane is removed so they are ready to eat. They have just enough spice and kick for us. The corn and potatoes are fine, but it's the shrimp that bring us back. We always get to go and it's well packaged.

I am good at sucking... head. Scratch that, I am great at sucking head. I sucked the hell out of those heads. Oh yea, I just went there! This is the place to go if you like crawdads. Big spicy crawdads served in a beat up plastic bucket. Forget the other stuff they serve - shrimp, sausage, corn etc - they are not worth your time. It is all about the crawdads. They close for business for many months because they refuse to serve crawdads outside of season. Now that's a sign of quality. Now get to sucking and show me your skills.

This is my go-to place in Jackson when crawfish season starts. This is not fast food, so come here expecting to wait in line for several minutes. The good thing is they have plenty of parking at the Ag center. I have eaten here before but I prefer to order the crawfish to go. We came here on St. Paddy's day expecting it to be packed--but the to-go line actually went pretty quickly. If you're getting more than 15 pounds of crawfish to go, it could be worth it to bring your own ice chest or cooler so you don't smell up your car. I'm always pleased with the quality and taste at Crawdad hole--it's always spicy.

Used to be a regular, but I have to be honest, the crawfish just aren't as good as they used to be. A couple of the older men taking your orders at the window act like they could care a less if your there are not, not friendly at all. The shrimp is just terrible. Simply put, to many other good, friendly places out there now that appreciate my money.

My husband and I tried the boiled shrimp. It wasn't as spicy as we like our shrimp to be, but it was delicious. I especially enjoyed the shrimp even more because it was deveined. A lot of places don't take the time to do that. Check this place out!

So...my boyfriend and I tried this place because it came highly recommended by some of my co-workers. Being a crawfish loving New Orleanian, I have to say that my expecations were not very high. We ordered a few pounds to go. If you decide to dine in be sure to bring your own beer since it is byob which is a nice lil perk. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the size and flavor of the crawfish. They seasoned pretty good and many of them were fairly large. They were piping hot too! They often have live bands on the weekends, so this will definitely be our go to crawfish joint. It was nice to find a little taste of home!!

Awesome place! Crawfish heaven.

Worth it. As a Yankee I was taken by locals and it didn't let me down. Will go back next time I come to Jackson.

One of my absolute favorite places to go during the season. BYOB for about $2 or $3 and sometimes there is music playing. Oh yeah, and the crawdads are fantastic! Go to the Hole.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. I liked that you could bring your own beer in. The boiled peanuts, IMHO, were a little under done and not salty enough, but maybe I just like mine on the soggy and salty side, ha. The crawfish were good, albeit a little small, but we were a tad early in the season. Other than that, great place, lot of fun.

Best place on Earth. Awesome food, great atmosphere, live blues, and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. Go eat here.

The crawfish, shrimp, taters and corn are yummy. The crawfish aren't spicy until you suck on the heads. The shrimp aren't spicy at all but they are seasoned, deveined and opened so they are very easy to eat quickly. The taters and corn were tasty with a mild crab boil taste to them. The live music was nice and you can byob.

The Crawdad Hole is one of the more popular places to go for nearly year round Crawfish, Boiled Shrimp, and the Boil fixings like Potatoes, Corn on the Cob and Sausage. The Crawfish is the only thing on the menu with any sort of spice/heat at all. If you don't suck every head, you may not find the Crawfish spicy enough if your a big Crawfish fan. It's a bit pricey..expect $15-$20 bucks a person. It's basically an outdoor shack with picnic tables, so go when the weather is pretty. They have one room with 3 tables with some A/C but all the other tables are basically a shack roof to keep off the rain. During prime Crawfish season they'll bring in North Mississippi Oxford jam or blues bands to perform, so there's a $5 cover charge for eating there, if there's a band playing. A big appeal is the hang out factor as it's BYOB with coolers allowed. So you can drag a large cooler of beer with your friends & dig the crawfish. When they have music there may be a $5 fee to bring in your cooler also. They have a seperate window facing Smith-Wills Stadium for take-out. The shrimp are large and in the de-veining process the shells are opened up for the easiest to peel shrimp you've ever had. They won't be great if they had some spice to them. But they like to be able to sell the shrimp for the kids. So they do have some "Slap Your Mama" seasoning behind the counter you can ask for to spice up your cocktail sauce. They're not New Orleans crawfish, but their good for Jackson. They are closed on Mondays.
