Absolutely delicious. Everything I had was cooked perfectly. Started with the crispy dumplings and chicken satay. For an entree I had the spicy noodles with chicken. The heat was medium but it had me sweating. I tried my friends' curries and they were amazingly good. Not overly sweet like I find at other Thai restaurants so you can eat your whole meal without it being cloying. Had the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was very good as well. Ripe mango with a sweet rice was the perfect way to end the meal.

I have always liked Suvin which used to be Surin on 49. I thought they had closed but found out tonight they have moved out to Oak Grove Old Hwy 11. They still have the same great food glad they are still open!!!

I would definitely come here for the Thai. The variety is good and their curries are excellent. The spice level is also very good. Prices are reasonable. Their sushi is ok but not the greatest quality. The restaurant is always clean but seems too large and lacking ambience.

My wife and I ate here tonight and enjoyed the meal as usual. For some reason, people crowd to Jutamas when the food is just as good at Suvin and you aren't jammed in together with everyone else. My wife echos the other reviews that say the currys are excellent at Suvin, very flavorful. I usually get one of the stir frys and ask for cashews. Prices are pretty standard. I strongly recommend this place.

I hadn't seen any reviews of Surin, so I was a little reluctant to try it. However, one night after work at The Library of Hattiesburg, I was starving and wanted Thai more than anything else - thus, leading me to Surin of Thailand. It was absolutely incredible! I ordered the Fresh Thai Salad as a beginner, thinking it would just be a simple side salad. I was pleasantly mistaken. This could have been a dinner in itself! The peanut dressing is to die for and I was so grateful when the waitress asked if I wanted extra. The Thai Noodle main course contained both shrimp and chicken and was really, really tasty! The dish served peanuts and bean sprouts on the side, allowing you to add as much or as little as you prefer. While I tend to mix everything together, I know of some people (my mother) who would rather forego the additional peanuts; so this dish is a real thoughtful compilation of flavors - not too spicy, not too bland, and definitely delicious! My dinner totaled $18.80 with salad, main course, and sweet tea. All-in-all, a fantastic meal. I just wish I had discovered it earlier!

This restaurant has changed its name now to Suvin of Thailand in the same location as before Ate here recently and found it to be good, nothing particularly special, but good. I had "spicey noodle" with beef and my wife had the spicey pad prik with shrimp. Both dishes were good and the serving size was large. No lunch menu on weekends, and unsure if they have different lunch menu during the week, All in all, a good buy .

I heard when Tiger Woods came to Hattiesburg, MS for his rehabilitation, he came here for Thai food. I thought it must be good for a celebrity athlete that's half Thai to eat here. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. We went after morning mass and was busier than expected (about 14 people including us). We tried their "Beef Satay, Pad See-U, Thai Noodle (Pad Thai), and Duck Curry" and were better than I thought, but not as good as the Thai places in the Los Angeles area. The pad thai didn't have enough of that great Thai peanut sauce. The duck curry was FANTASTIC because it tasted just like I was back in LA. They also serve sushi but was hesitant to order it since I don't know the origin of their seafood especially with the gulf oil spill. The only draw back was this place is more expensive than most, if not all, thai restaurants that I've been to, and I've been to quite a few.

Surin of Thailand was a surprise for me, giving a wonderful meal within my budget. The restaurant is within walking distance of USM campus, right of HWY 49, and has a good menu of options for both Japanese and Thai cuisine. The lighting is warm and low, with a bright sushi bar and a standard bar. The servers were friendly, responsive, and helped me feel comfortable. After debating over my options, I went with a classic Thai Noodle and an order of Salmon nigiri. I later found out that they got their fish fresh, which is always a plus when at a place with sushi. My dish was out fairly quickly ( I typed up two paragraphs on my Android during this), and was fresh and hot. The sushi was clean and perfect, and the dish was great. A sweet, yet savory noodle dish with fresh cuts of chicken, great shrimp, and both cooked and raw carrots, green onion, and bean sprouts. It was a beautiful dish, was very tasty, and cheap, at a mere $11. My whole bill, between dish, two bits o' sushi, and water was $16 with tip, and many appetizers and other sushi was available as well. Overall, I was very pleased with my random choice to try this place out. A great meal to end a very dreary night.

Hands down the best Thai in Hattiesburg. The service cannot be beat, either. I can't remember her name, but there is a waitress there that will remember you, what you usually order, and is on the top of her game at all times. I have had quite amazing Thai food back in Sacramento, so I couldn't give Surin the full 5 stars, but their food really is quite delicious, and I've never been dissapointed with what I order!

Love the super crunch and the lunch specials!

Bangkok Cafe is the newest Thai restaurant in Hattiesburg, located in the old Wu's Chinese building facing Hwy 49 and within walking distance of the USM campus. I fell in love with this place. Best Thai in town and they definitely know how to make the food hot when you request it. The Green Curry is amazing, and they cook the tofu just as well as the meat dishes. They also do take out and delivery, though their range is fairly small I think.

I eat here a lot... and the food is consistent and tasty. The service is amazing (how does the server always remember me and what I order??) and the lunch specials are very reasonable. Big fan of the curry with avocado and cashews, as well as the salads. Yum.

Really good food & great service. One of the best kept secret restaurants in the city.

Descent Thai food for Hattiesburg. I wish it could have been more authentic. The pad Thai was overloaded with spice. Thai Basil spring rolls were excellent!

Fabulous Thai food in a warm and delightful atmosphere. First generation Thai chef makes the food both authentic and delicious. Great spot for a quiet and relaxed dinner. Best Thai restaurant outside of Thailand!
