Love this place the guys, were really awesome and cooked a great breakfast. Amazing food and the environment honestly had me reminiscing of all the good times I had in Portland Oregon... Never thought I'd find a place like this around here but I'm glad I did... I will definitely be back to try out their lunch menu soon...

I like the food. The huevos rancheros was very good (I just picked out the excess fresh onions). The bagels are good. But I can't give a breakfast place more than three stars if the coffee is so-so. I do like the atmosphere. It's a classic corner sandwich shop, and it has the same rustic, eclectic charm as the rest of downtown Hattiesburg.

French toast plate is good, breakfast on a bagel (egg and cheese) was even better. Nice that they give you a large glass of orange that isn't overflowing with ice. Parking can be a little inconvenient because of the nearby intersection, but inside is fairly quiet. Interesting decor, as well.

Do yourself a favor, and drop by this quaint, delicious sandwich/bagel shop. The owners are consistently friendly and the staff are committed to their craft and doing it right the first time. Don't go looking to grab a fresh, delicious meal in ten seconds - the staff are not rushing and it is worth the wait. The breakfast menu is my favorite, and I look forward to dropping by on the weekend for a coffee and sausage, egg, and cheese jalapeño bagel. Truly a "must eat" of the Hattiesburg local eateries, and downtown is lucky to have them.

I wanted to LOVE this place! I tried to LOVE this place! But sadly, I just couldn't :( It was ok. The plain bagel was excellent! I got the roast beef omelet and it was smothered in oregano (or maybe just Italian seasoning?) With a ton of roast beef and almost no onions/tomatoes/bell peppers. It was sweltering in the building and this bizarre techno, meditation, music(?) was blasting in the corner. The staff was pleasant and friendly and I must say that everything was clean. Perhaps this type of atmosphere just isn't my thing (it's more for the hipster crowd). Overall, I'm glad that we went but I'm not sure we will be back for breakfast. I will try lunch and I would buy a dozen bagels to go. I'm sorry to all the people that are gonna hate me for this review! I tried!

I visited twice from out of town while staying with a friend who lives downtown. The bagels are excellent. The first morning I had a breakfast sandwich which was eh, but the bagel was great. The ingredients on the bagel were underwhelming, but whatever the bagel was amazing. The second morning I heading out of town and had 8 hours ahead of me, but planned to stop there for 6 bagels to take home with me. The first morning I was there, there was a price for a bag of 6 bagels and the price was great. Next morning when I bought 6 bagels, it was like double. Blah, that sucks but I wanted the bagels. I froze them as soon as I got home which is probably bagel blasphemy, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. My only complaint was the other morning when I had a jalapeno cheddar bagel I found a chocolate chip in it. Yuck. Oh, yeah they have chocolate chip bagels but I would never (intentionally).

Perfect little breakfast stop! My wife and I shared the french toast platter and it was plenty of food. We enjoyed the quit little breakfast shop and highly recommend it!

Love this place! I can't get enough of their Huevos Rancheros omelet, the Everything Bagel, and coffee for breakfast. The coffee is a little on the expensive side (but I think it's free refills). The absolute best omelet is made by Chris! The other chef's just don't have the same touch. It is a nice place to catch up with your friends or sit in a corner and read. I just wish they were open for longer hours, it would be nice to come by for dinner or drinks. EDIT: I would suggest arriving earlier than later because the last few times I've arrived lately they are already out of Everything Bagels.

The bagels here are fantastic, and the coffee is good too. Prices are pretty reasonable. But don't come if you're in a rush, service tends to be a bit leisurely. When you have time to sit back and enjoy, the great food and fun atmosphere make this place a great choice.

Sat morning, get there early for a cinnamon roll. Best I've probably ever had... They go quickly! Bagels made fresh, plenty of options to try. Lunch has hot and cold sandwiches. They are known for the Turkey Avocado but my favorite is the Tuscan Roast Beef.

While visiting Mississippi, my friends brought me here for breakfast. This little place was a great find. We were luckily able to grab a vacant table without a problem (though my friends warned the place can get busy since the place is cozy). Next up, deciding what to eat. I went with the Maestro omlete (bacon, swiss cheese, and tomato) with a sesame bagle on the side. Other options of the table included the Greek omlete, bagle with ox, and a bacon yet and chess on a bagle. My omlete was very satisfying and the bagle was defintly one of the best I've had. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. If I was going to be in town longer I think I would definitely make a return visit. Maybe I will next time I'm in town!

The Bagel Shop is the only place that I know of to get fresh-baked bagels. Try their bagel breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Very hearty and filling.

Great spot for breakfast and the best place in Hattiesburg to get your bagel fix. Southbound has a great, sunny and cozy atmosphere. My bagel sandwich was delicious with high quality bacon. My only complaint is that I wish their everything bagels were a little saltier. They were also out of chocolate chip bagels the morning we went, which disappointed a few in our group. We were there on a very busy morning, though, so I understand. All of their bagels are made fresh in house!

Love this place in the HEART of downtown. It is definitely the best place to get a fresh, homemade bagel in Hattiesburg. Wait a minute, it's the ONLY place; but definitely worth the effort getting here. Breakfast awaits!
