Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Ordered food while on orders at Camp Shelby. They told me that it would be 1 hour until my food showed up. The delivery took almost 2.5 hours!!!! I will probably never order from there again.

Was not impressed. This really should be considered just a carry out place. Rice was under cooked. Frankly it was the worst chicken fired rice I've ever eaten.

Great, fast, cheap Chinese takeout. The lunch specials are cheap and big. At dinner the combo dinner plates are a great bargain. I only ever get take out from them, but it's usually ready in ten minutes. I've loved everything I've gotten there.

Totally disappointed in the vegetable fried rice! I gave them 2 stars because of the friendly staff & the availability of yellow rice. The large vegetable fried rice had a few -5 small pieces- of broccoli and surprisingly less amount of onions & no other vegetables. The good side is that it still had a good taste. I called and the sweet little lady didn't know what to do. Oh well- won't go back here.

I got the Kung Po Chicken. I liked it a lot. There was a lot of meat to mix with my rice and my meal was really hot and fresh except for the rice which seemed over cooked. I had plenty of food leftover that I took full of. Plus I got a super cute handcrafted ink pen! I was satisfied.

I've had worse, which is why I gave two stars instead of one, but I really was not impressed with the food here. The rice was dry, the meat was tough, and the wait for it was impressively long. I definitely do not recommend this place!

I know this isn't authentic Chinese food, but I am a fan nonetheless. I have been to Hattiesburg a couple of times for work over the last year and each time, I have had some food from Panda. Being on the road for work, I sometimes crave Chinese food because it reminds me of being at home. I especially enjoy the Fried Dumplings at Panda -- they are some of my all-time favorite Fried Dumplings for some odd reason.

Really great Chinese food. Best part: it's not greasy! I have had difficulty finding Chinese places that don't send you food out in a big pool of oil, so I'm thankful for Panda!

There are much better places to get Chinese food in Hburg like the Asian Market by Winn Dixie and Michael's, or A&B, or one of the buffets.

So I ordered shrimp fried rice, 4 shrimp & house egg rolls, shrimp lo mein, general sow's chicken (mild) wanton & egg drop soup. the rice was cooked properly with plenty of shrimp, the egg rolls were tasty, the lo mein was good. I'm not a sow's chicken fan at all but my father said it was ok. The wanton & egg drop soup was really good- I recommend u should try them both. it was good enough for me too justify going back there again, but I think only once in awile- there is a hell of alot of sodium in all Chinese food;

I ordered takeout from Panda while passing through Hattiesburg a week ago. The place is a dump, but the food was outstanding! The main dishes were cooked to order, so it took a few minutes. Most people who came in while I waited had called in their orders. The Crab Rangoon was the best I have ever had. The egg rolls were very good as well. The meal portions were huge as well as delicious. Will definitely visit this place again if I find myself in Hattiesburg again!

I've been around the world, and I'm hard pressed to find Chinese Food that tastes better than Panda. Okay, so I might be biased because so many times over Panda has saved me when I've been trying to pinch a penny but refuse to eat Ramen. Let's be honest though, Panda really does make amazing chinese food. What I find hard to believe is that they hardly charge anything at all for such good food. Lunch specials are difficult to finish because it's so much food, and that's considering my hearty appetite. Lunch specials barely cross the $5 mark (even after tax). The General Tso's is good. If you're trying to eat healthy, it is possible, believe it or not. It sounds gross, but the chicken and bean sprouts is so amazing, and it tastes really fresh, for chinese food anyway. A small order is plenty enough for dinner, comes with rice, and is under $4 after tax. All the other chinese places in Hattiesburg are a joke except for E&B discount grocery. E&B is equally delicious (though different tasting), but the portions pale in comparison to Panda. Be noted, this place is not a buffet place. It's take-out, but they have tables there. It takes about 15 minutes from when you order until when you get your food, so be sure to grab a menu and call ahead. If not, I always spend time next door at the Sunflower grabbing beer to go with my soon-to-be-meal.

Hello, The telephone line was busy at 11:46am so i showed up and waited 3minutes in a 1person line. The sevice is quick and $4.97 gets a lunch combo in my case a #9 with ckn fried rice lunch and egg roll togo. In less than ten minutes (barely) i was walking back to my car. The combo was steaming hot and above average taste :D yay!

I love Chinese food but dont like the Chinese buffet. Panda is always fresh and more authentic than a buffet. It is about ten minutes from my house but is well worth the drive. Try the dumplins!!!

Hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout is always the best, no matter where you are. Panda is certainly no exception! The prices are very low for the size portions they divvy up. Everything is made fresh to order. You can even go a little healthy with the appropriately named Healthy Foods section - the rice is white and the sauces are served on the side. I can usually eat 2-3 meals off of one order :)

Hold your horses folks. This place is good, but it aint world class. The dining room isnt as bad as the other reviews suggest and the cooks aren't slow. Just a straight up tasty chinese food place. They do have an oil and msg free menu which is really cool, though.

Ok, the first thing you have to know is this place is a dump. No joke, you can still see the ugly tiles on the front of the building of mortar and pestles from the drugstore that they bought out. There isn't much climate control and if the lights are on, its a good day. That being said this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely amazing and their takeout specials can't be beaten. The lunch specials vary between $4.25 - $4.75 and include the entree, chicken or pork fried rice, and soup or an eggroll. the ridiculous part is these specials are enough for two meals. No joke... I would advise this as takeout only, they have a dining room, but its not so amazing. Just call in your order about 15 mins before you want to pickup. For starters give the sesame seed chicken and pork fried rice a try!

Panda is my favorite please-don't-make-me-cook-tonight take-out joint. The food is cheap, the cooks are fast, and I have never had anything there that wasn't absolutely fresh and wholesome. Try the wontons or fried bananas! There is a dining room, but you'd probably be happier eating in your car in the parking lot if you got nowhere else to go. The buzzing flourescent lights, scattered newspapers, and people pacing waiting for their takeout just don't do the food justice.
