While traveling thru Hattiesburg doing a multi-state vacation we were looking for something healthy to eat. I started looking at Yelp and discovered this place. The reviews were positive so we decided to give it a shot. We were glad we did. Newk's offered both indoor and outdoor seating. It was very clean inside and very well done. We had never tried a Newk's before. When we found out it was a chain it was hard to believe. It is very clean and well-presented and has the appearance of a locally owned restaurant. The service here is very friendly and when the cashier found out this was our first visit we were welcomed and had the menu and some of the things they offered explained to us. The service overall was just fantastic. I went with the Newk's favorite salad with chicken. It was tasty, fresh, and very filing. They went with other things on the menu and they were equally impressive. Overall we really enjoyed our meals and it was great to have a healthy option while traveling. If we are in the area we will return. With the quality of the food and great service this is a solid 5 star place. Give it a try.

Newks is a chain restaurant accross about 10 southern states, that focuses on the fresh deli area. They are a chain that we have visited in several states and have found them to be consistent. You order at the counter and can customize your selection at the condiment bar with items including shreaded parm, olives, fresh baked croutons, peperchinies, etc. I tend to get the heated sandwiches or the black n blue salad. They also have the option for 1/2 soup w 1/2 sandwich. We have tried a couple of the soups in the combo option and I find the lobster n crab bisque to be my preference. The staff at this location was friendly. The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom. The food was prepared quickly and was good quality meats n fresh veggies. Bread was also good. Overall, a great quick lunch option.

Impressive set up. The dinning area is pretty large, and even the bathrooms are pretty nice. This place is perfect for large groups. They had a decent selection of food items. Nothing mindblowing in the creativity department. But, you can make almost any person in your party happy The food is served quickly. Almost everyone I saw was served before there buns had completely warmed their seat. The salads are huge for the price (8-12 dollars). My mother and I actually brought half the salad home because it was that big. They have a list of the gluten free dressing at the register. Perfect place for a quick, and healthy meal.

The spicy Sicily pizza is amazing along with the Greek salad. Everything looks and taste fresh. The service is fast. You order up front and they bring your food to the table. They have an amazing condiment bar where you can get any condiments that you would like for your pizza, soups, salad, or sandwich. I've seen this place a few times but never stopped. Now I wish I would've stopped for lunch sooner!

Food is great and the prices are good. Service is courteous and fast so this is a great place to order a quick work lunch. Mostly sandwiches of many different varieties and a tasty salad set up. Highly recommend.

Oh Newks, how I love you. There's literally nothing bad about this place. The soups are all amazing (special shout out to the lobster bisque yummm), the salads are ginormous with an interesting mix of super fresh ingredients. Last time I gave their chocolate cake a try, and unfortunately for my waistline, it was delicious. Newks has a cool "grab and go" area which makes running in on your lunch break a breeze. They also offer online ordering which is very convenient. If you love tasty, healthy options that don't break the bank, definitely check out Newks!

May just have had the best Chicken Salad Sandwich I've ever had. Toasted bread with a walnut crunch and grapes. Mmm, so good! Side of fruit was so fresh. Husband had the Newk's Salad which was also a big hit. Would definitely stop there again if ever in Hattiesburg again.

Another consistently good lunch. My regular favorite is the Newk's Que. I'm normally a water drinker, but have to buy a drink to get the cool Newk's cup. I'm sureNewk's marketing folks love to hear that!

One of my favorite places for lunch. The salads are great - especially the Black and Bleu. They also have wonderful sandwiches and personal pizzas. Affordable prices, fun atmosphere, friendly servers, great food. I can highly recommend Newk's.
