An unexpected gem in the Deep South. Cinnamon roll - perfectly flakey and not too sweet. Blueberry scone, equally delicious. They even had cold brew iced coffee. It's a mistake not to give this place a shot. Wish there was one in Knoxville.

Exceptional. Cream puffs were delicious. Just passing through in town for Thanksgiving. Found this little gem on Yelp. This place is worth a special trip if you are in the area. I will be back!

Amazing little bakery in the heart of Hattiesburg. You wouldn't think a bakery in a strip mall would be so divine, but it surprisingly is. Upon deciding I wanted some French pastries and doubting that Hattiesburg had anything remotely French I searched and discovered this gem. I took years of French in college and having many true French professors who were sweet enough to bring traditional French baked items to us in class, I once in a while dream of them and yearn for the flavorful goodness in my mouth. This bakery cured all of my cravings. The owner is actually directly from France! He was very kind and gave me a free pastry when I was talking to him in French (lol) about my professor and their baked goods. I had the berry tart and the free lemon one. Both divine. If you want something overly sweet, go to an American bakery where all you taste is NOTHING but sugar. French pastries have flavor and texture. Oh, and the coffee here is on point! No Folgers here. Get out of your comfort zone and try this little bakery out. You won't be disappointed.

Don't bother with Starbucks up the road. COME HERE! Freshly made omelettes, baked goods and charming staff. I special ordered a coffee w/a shot of espresso and a dollop of Nutella! The server was so kind to indulge my caffeine need!

Chocolate croissant Easily the best pastry in town. Crunchy, light, and deep chocolate flavor without being overly sweet.

Made the hubster stop while driving home from NOLA. I needed sweet. I just forgot that French pastries are not sweet like American sweet. That being said, I had asked for an eclaire and encouraged the hubs to get cheesecake - which he loves but the American version with the graham cracker crust. This was the French version with the pastry crust. It was a beautiful work of art and it was tasty to me while being very different from cheesecake that I am used to. I also got a caramel mochachino or some fancy coffee and that was superb.

Yum! I had a delicious blueberry scone and a plain croissant here so far. The inside is cute (though tiny), and there's a nice little table out front if you're so inclined. The coffee is delicious, too.

Exceptional quality! High quality, fresh pastries/cakes. The best in town! We get all our birthday cakes, special occasion treats and weekend pastries from C'est La Vie Bakery. We're very grateful to have a high quality "French" bakery in Hattiesburg, and as mentioned, there are other breakfast and lunch options for the regulars. Everybody we know is loyal to C'est La Vie from the first bite. CASH or CHECK ONLY!

Excellent eats! A true gem in Hattiesburg! Excellent croissants and espresso drinks. Savory bacon and cheese and chocolate croissants are my favorites. All pastries are fresh, flaky and delicious. Additional sweets including eclairs, tiramisu, tarts, and cakes look great, but I've never tried them. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and lunch. CASH or CHECK ONLY!

The most amazing almond croissant I've ever had (and I tried a lot of pastries in France!) The owner is from there, and seriously, the pastries could not be better. Will go there every time I'm in town!

This is an amazing little place! Anyone who lives in or passes through Hattiesburg should definitely go there. The people are friendly and the food is unbeatable. The pastries and desserts are as good as you are going to get without buying a plane ticket to Europe. The scones are delicious, their cheesecake is the best in Hattiesburg as is their tiramisu. I have never tried one, but they also offer omelets. The cinnamon rolls they have on Sundays are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. I usually love the smell, but am disappointed by the taste, but not here. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Absolutely the best French pastries I have ever had. The plain croissants make you want to weep with joy. The chocolate croissants are sinful. Their cakes are iced with French buttercream and filled with all sorts of delicious things. They look expensive for the size, but they are so rich and decadent that one will feed eight. The owners are French, and they are charming, friendly, and helpful. Not a lot of seating, and they don't take credit cards, so make sure you have cash on hand. Bring extra, too, because after the first round of pastries, you'll want another.
