Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I'm not a sandwich, salad or soup person...but Newks has made me one! First thing I noticed was their atmosphere, it's so cozy inside it kind of makes you want to stay forever. Next is their "Roundtable" which is basically a help-yourself station consisting of capers, jalapeños, pepperoncinnis, pickles, Parmesan cheese, croutons, roasted garlic, crackers, breadsticks, salt, pepper, hot sauce and more. Amazing!! I love their breadsticks especially. Their customer service is always great. One time I had an employee tell me the Cobb salad was the same as their "simply" salad but it isn't, whatsoever, or it wouldn't be two different items. They're extremely different. Other than that, every experience here has been perfect and most importantly...their food is TO DIE FOR! I'm always craving Newks and I can officially say I'm a sandwich, soup and salad person...a Newks sandwich soup and salad person! Thanks Newks!!!

Surprisingly diverse menu. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. Very casual and inviting environment. I really enjoyed my first visit to Newks.

I had the pimento Mac and Cheese and the Black and Blue salad. The macaroni was very tasty and just the perfect portion for a side. The salad though was overdressed, a little disappointing.

LOVE NEWKS. All their sandwiches, salads, and soups are great. My favorite is the Royal and their bean and kale soup. Yup. Around lunch, this place is pretty packed...and around 6-730p it's pretty packed too but they've never messed up on my food. I think I have about 100 cups from this place. My only complaint is the parking lot. One way in and one way out. Not to mention the light on the busy times. Decently priced for what you get. A fresh sandwich and some chips is enough to fill you up. Don't forget the free condiments!

Never knew this spot existed until my wife said something about it. First off, we were greeted as we walked thru the door which set a good tone. We ordered our chow and by the time we got our drinks and sat down our food was at the table. I got the grilled steak sandwich and it was rated GAF! The Mac-n-chee was ok, didn't blow my socks off or anything. The restaurant was clean and a overall good experience.

My daughter took me to lunch at Newk's a few days after Christmas. It was very busy, but the Cuban sandwich was delicious and the 4 cheese Mac & cheese was awesome! I didn't get a salad but the salads looked fresh and tasty too! I'm craving more of that Mac & cheese now! Oh, and the sweet tea was perfect with fresh lemons!

Friendly wait staff, good food and a huge souvenir cup for drinks. The pizzas and soups are what I've been consistently happy with. The sandwiches are a hit or miss with me. Haven't tried the salads so I can't speak on that. I highly recommend the pepperoni sausage pizza or the Debra pizza. Both are outstanding

Always fast friendly service here. Love the newksQ! Sad they changed their soup menu, we love the broccoli and cheese, it's only served 2 days a week now :(

This new Newk's location is very conveniently located next to I-10. Very clean restaurant and inexpensive prices. The service at Newk's is very friendly and helpful. Wonderful choices of salads, sandwiches, soups, and pizzas. Newk's offers 4 different choices of soups each day (with at least 1 vegetarian selection) and I ordered their vegetarian black bean soup which was delicious. I also had their Greek salad and it is probably big enough for 3 people to share. Newk's is a great dining option on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Loooove the food! New to the area and this is the first time I've been to or heard of Newks and I loved it!

I'm a pizza lover and have to say that you can't go wrong ordering one from here. I'm lactose intolerant so I order with no cheese. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and loved it. I'm sure for the cheese lovers it would be even better. I will definitely be back. Service was also very friendly.

Good sandwiches, great soups and fast service. I have gone on several occasions and was served the wrong sandwich one time and it has become my favorite. A healthy alternative to the greasy burger. Only problem is parking, it gets packed at lunch.

POSTING TO YELP & URBANSPOON SINCE NEWKS LIKE TO DELETE ALL THERE NEGITIVE COMMENTS. This is our second time visiting Newk's here in Gulfport MS. Never again. I am posting our pictures of the Roast Beef Sandwich. This first pic shows what liitle slice of beef you get on the sandwich. The second pictures is the roast beef that was the remake from both sandwich 1/2's each. I waited for the remake to come back to the table, all our guests were finished eating before I got the remake. Strange thing was only four tables in the restaurant eating at 5:00 in the afternoon. The flavor of the roast beef is great. However, I would NEVER return to this place again in the future. Our friends we ate with, told me they come often, and have never seen such little portions of meet on a sandwich. They to will not be returning again. There are a lot of other options here in the coast with better food, service, and managers who care and visit with there customers.

Good location, great food, and friendly staff. Lost one star because of dirty tables and dirty floors. But other than that i liked it. They have a nice menu. I will be going back to Newks for sure!

My company often places large orders with Newk's. We've always loved their food. I will continue to be a patron, however my most recent experience would extinguish that if I wasn't so enticed by their menu. After placing a large order, two entrees didn't make it into the to-go bag(s). I called the next day to remedy this, but the manager couldn't "find" our order. We order from them regularly, and I'm always the one picking up the food. Long story short, he refused to correct the (rather large) order over the two entrees I requested to be made - as they were not received, but were paid for, and his demeanor reflected that he thought I was perhaps lying. I was, and still am extremely unhappy - because I took off my lunch break to resolve this. I was not wearing my usual "business casual" attire, and I honestly believe that because I was not he immediately assumed I was some type of individual simply seeking free food. Extremely dissatisfied with the service, the food is great. I believe we will now take our bi-weekly corporate orders to McAllister's. P.S. The cashiers do not* give you a receipt unless you request one. So, always take the time to check your to-go orders - otherwise you may be in a similar position. Regards.

By 4 stars, I mean for its classification, it's a 4 star affordable restaurant. It's soup, salads, and sandwiches but they are done well and the staff is always eager to help. The mangers have always been awesome and if you sign up for the text club, they offer great deals.

Food is great and I almost always get the Ultimate Salad. Price is decent. Only slightly more than what you'd pay at Subway for a good footlong sub but the Ultimate Salad usually takes me two sittings to complete. Atmosphere is very positive as well.

Food that's fast, but not "fast food". Custom pizzas, salads, and sandwiches, good kids meals. I was in Gulfport on business, and didn't feel like going to a sit-down restaurant alone. Headed towards ye olde Chicken chain, I saw the Newks sign, and decided to go in. Very glad I did. I had a Simply Salad, adding Broiled Shrimp, and the Ultimate Crab soup. The salad was made to order - not taken out of a fridge - and made quickly. They also had Splenda-sweetened Iced Tea, which let me get my Southern standard without having to feel bad when I recorded the day's calendar. I might use chicken instead of shrimp next time - the shrimp was great, but about 12 shrimp for the 6 dollar upcharge didn't feel economical. The soup could have used a little more crab, but it was delicious - as good as much of the Cream of Crab soups from back in Maryland. I'll definitely return here over going to a national chain next time I'm in town and need a quick option.
