Food here is not of the highest quality or flavors but it will make a terd. The staff were very friendly the cashier helped me check a $100 I thought was fake. Thanks again. I cant remember the waitress name but she was a middle aged Peruvian lady very nice and kept up with the refills. lots of choices of dessert, will return with work crew or when looking for cheap buffet. Food:3 star Hospitality:5 star Location: 5 star

This food was not good! All of the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. It was absolutely freezing in the place.( I am not a person to get cold easily) The bathrooms were not very clean and it smelt in there. I would in no way eat here again. After we spent $40 on 2 buffets- my husband went to Arby's next door to eat. The food was 10 times better at Arby's. I know I shouldn't expect much from a Golden Coral in the first place- but this one was gross. We were traveling through Mississippi and decided to try it.:(

This place is PERFECT for the people who are looking for a place with food that doesn't require teeth! Everything was mushy from the vegetables that had a plastic taste to the pulled pork which tasted like a blended up pork chop mixed with ketchup. I went up to the buffet 3 times to try and find something that I could eat and out of 3 plates I ate a bread roll (apparently they can't screw those up) and a strawberry shooter that thankfully was more sour than sweet. The bread pudding and the apple cobbler both tasted like a pound of sugar had been dumped into a recipe that calls for maybe a cup. The waitress never came to check on us and I had to catch her to get my drink refilled. We will DEFINITELY not be back. Worst Golden Corral I've been to and I've been to several in 3 other states!

We were here on 3/13/2015: The place is packed, but we still found a seat (lots of staff in front where you pay in advance and get your drink in your hand, but none of them have any idea where you might sit). Lots to choose from on the salad bar, lots of nifty sides and veggies, and a sweets bar replete with cotton candy, ice cream, and a chocolate fountain - the meat is the only confusing part - sometimes, there is an attendant who serves you whatever the meat is for the day (usually a choice of beef or sausage) and sometimes nobody is around to serve you and you have to pick from one of the fish or pot roast options out along the bar near the pizza slices. When we came in the first time several months ago, between lunch and dinner (after my son was released from an outpatient procedure and was starving) it appeared that everyone was on break, nobody was filling the containers and the food still remaining appeared to have been there awhile; I waited for a time at the meat counter for someone to appear so I could take it to my son, but after quite some time, nobody showed and nobody walking around me said anything that might assist, even though they were happy to take my money when we walked in. This time we arrived near the dinner bell and the place was busy, but still really left a person out there to fend for themselves. I'd only come here for the kids, like an alternative to Chucky Cheese...

HORY CRAP. Why did I come here? Oh yea, because a friend for some reason wanted to. So, we went. Never again. The place was PACKED. Of course it's a buffet, but heck, casinos have buffets and it wasn't this chaotic. Atmosphere: The way things are set up are horrible. Lines and lines and lines and lines of people waiting for this steak section just huddled around the area unwilling to move so you can get some simple potatoes behind them which they aren't even touching. It's like the scum of the coast were here. So many rude customers. I don't understand how people can be so mean and THEIR KIDS. HORY COW! You need to put those little monsters on leashes. The food was meh. Buffet quality a step down, I barely ate anything because of the hordes of people just standing around. The food I did try: pot roast, a variety of wings, salad, baked potato, greens, and stuffing. All but the wings, salad, and baked potato were pretty salty.....and not "hey thats kinda salty, salty"...it's was more of a "wow, someone spilled the salt". The wings were surprisingly good. The salad, well, was a salad. I made it, the salad greens were freshly put out and the baked potato is a baked potato. I'm giving the place 2 stars because our waiter was friendly. That's about it. The customers and the salty food was enough for me not to ever think of this place.

Dropped in for dinner the other night and the only words that came to mind was "PACKED!!! Even though this place was filled to the rim with hungry families and the like, we paid and were seated in under ten minutes. Our waitress Suanda was awesome (**** 1/2 stars) she kept are drinks full and our table stocked with hot, fresh from the oven yeast rolls (**** stars). I love their ranch dressing and their clam chowder (**** stars) was full of clams and small cubed potatoes, which is how I prefer it. The grilled steak (*** 1/2 stars) which being a buffet was actually quite good. The turnip greens (*** stars) were good but the black eye peas (** stars) were slightly undercooked and tasted somewhat watery. For my main course I went with the baked chicken (***1/2 stars) which was tender and moist. I just could not get over how many people were here on a Friday night but for the price and selection, if I had kids, I probably would prefer to bring them here then cook on a Friday night!!!

So we walk in on a Sunday after all the church services had let out. Probably not one of our better planning moments. The place is packed. But packed parking lots usually mean good, right? Yes, the food was good although we found the buffet to be a little pricey. The inside was a madhouse. I could not help but mentally making a note of how "Corral" was a fit term for what was going on inside. The food was plentiful, varied, and the servers were working their behinds off. The food was average good. The person on the salad bar was MIA judging by the empty containers. The beef was pretty fatty, the catfish was not boneless. It was okay. Will we go again? I doubt it. It felt like a food free for all rather than a restaurant. One entree would be put out and people would pounce on it like a herd of locusts. Nice place, but not for us.

Things started out great until heading to the restroom. The smell was so overwhelming that I had to immediately turn and walk out. I addressed the staff about it and they said they knew of the problem but there was nothing they could do. I wish I would have known of there severe plumbing problems before paying for my family of 4 to go in. The men's bathroom was in just as poor condition according to my son. The smell was stomach turning.

Just recently opened and I must say THANK YOU A great selection of foods and everything has always been fresh and the buffet stays well stocked. They even have a baked potato bar section, WOOT They seem to be working out the normal kinks when a restaurant first opens but doing a good job. Given the 2 choices of this type of buffet (Barnhills and Golden Corral) I chose Golden Corral all day long! Better service, cleaner, better tasting foods and a bigger selection. Oh and just FYI since they are newly open they stay very busy but there is more than enough seating

I recently visited Golden Corral in Gulfport. Good food as always, hot steaks on the buffet for dinner on weekdays and served for both lunch and dinner on the weekends. Would have given them 5 stars for the buffet and the great attendance by our friendly waiter. However, at the end of the our meal, a manager or supervisor goes up to the cash registers and starts yelling out at one of the employees to "Get over here, NOW! He continues to berate him in front of the entire restaurant, something about people waiting on a bus outside for a long period and not allowed to go into the banquet room. The employee states he could not bring the people inside because there is already a group still in the banquet room. The manager yells, "they already left, no one is in the room!!". The manager goes over to the banquet room and all of a sudden, crowds of people come pouring out. (hmm, manager, I thought you said they already left...). Very unprofessional behavior in front of the customers, this should have been handled more privately.
