Oh how I love my Shipley's! My favorites are the hot glazed donuts and the lemon- filled donuts. This time I also tried the cherry-filled donut, but it did not hit the spot as my favorites did. I wanted to bring more donuts back home as there is not which a melt-in-your-mouth Shipley's near me. I was told that Shipley's is not open on Sundays.

I went there last Friday with my kids at 5:30 am after dropping my husband at the River Marathon. They were open already! yeay! The two ladies there were so friendly, so nice and so darn cute I wanted to buy more than the ones we were gonna eat after having breakfast, so I did get two more for my husband after his race. There was not so much to choose from and I suppose it was because of the hour, but with what they had we were happy. My kids of course went straight to the chocolate ones (with sprinkles and without) and I might say that chocolate on top was very good, really good flavor. I had the blueberry donuts for me and my husband and it was just right, not to sweet, perfect consistency. So yummy! On our way home I notice a Shipley's near Hernando at 302, so I guess I will have to try that place to see if they are as good as this one in Greenville. If that's the case I will be gaining weight because of this good donuts.

My girlfriend brought me some back from Mississippi and I liked them but not the best I ever had, but she said I have to eat them fresh to know how good they are.

My favorite donut place on the planet.. I have more than a few childhood memories at this place. The donuts are amazing and I can't eat any other donuts because these are so good :)

There is absolutely no donut on this planet that can compare to a Shipley donut. For that reason, Shipley's gets the second 5-star rating from me. (the only other 5-start rating went to a 5-diamond restaurant.) First off, when you walk into the shop, the fresh amazing scent of the donuts cooking in the open-air kitchen fills your nose. Then, your eyes immediately fall to the racks and racks of donuts lined up for your selection. I usually order the cream filled donut. I pray when I pull off the MLK Hwy that that particular donut was just freshly cooked. If not, I might put it in the microwave for 5 seconds. (You can't heat a Shipley donut longer than 5 seconds. You will ruin it if you do.) I can't wait til I'm back on the MLK Hwy in Greenville so I can make that stop again for that fat-filled, fried, sweet goodness of a Shipley donut.

The donuts and the selection here are great, but are by far better when they are fresh. They cook the donuts twice a day, early breakfast and early afternoon, so you should be able to catch them. Absolutely cheap and delicious.

Shipley Do-Nuts is 1 of the best. Been enjoying Shipley since I can remember. At this location, you get to see directly into the kitchen as they prepare donuts. The staff are always friendly - like the local mom & pop place. Occasionally when staffing is lean, the person prepping in the kitchen will speak across the store and ask for your order so they can prep it before even coming up - faster service. Donut holes are some of the best. Their glazed donuts are awesome when they are hot. I enjoy having these anytime I'm in the Delta. Just can't experience the same donuts outside Greenville & Vicksburg. Maybe being close to bodies of water helps? NOTE: Parking is bit difficult at this location because of the busy intersection that it is on. The Yelp map does not show you where it is located: corner of Reed Rd & Hwy 1 South/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

Hands down the best donut I've ever had! I wished they franchised this far out west.:) I would 100% open one here in Seattle. The donuts melt in your mouth! I highly recommend Shipleys to everyone. I wished they would over night me a dozen to Seattle:)
