This place is great. I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. The menu offers regular food and fun food. The pizza is great and the sandwiches are perfect. There is hardly any wait and the place is always busy at supper time. The prices are reasonable too! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really love being able to see into the food prep area. It's always clean and the location is great. We LOVE Newks!!

This joint is solid! Ordered a black and Bleu salad and it was executed to perfection. The best gosh darn salad I've had in a long time and the meat.... MEEEEEAT! Was cooked medium rare! Love it. And it was delivered to my table at warp speed. I definitely recommend this place. They seem to e well Organised and care about putting out an excellent product.

(Edit: Changed to 4 stars. Reason: The food is just so good I have to overlook the pricing issue. My comments below still apply though.) I used to think this was a 4-5 star joint. The service is incredible and the food is delicious. Sadly, the portions are getting smaller. The manager told me that they were not. I guess it's a perception issue or my renewed love of exercise causes my arms to think everything is lighter (and my stronger eyes make every thing look smaller?). Side note: $6 for a small side of pimento Mac and cheese?!?! 2 out of two people that ordered it that day agree that is nuts. Is it made with white truffle? Rhino horn? I won't be back for a while.

Awesome food a lil pricey though. But it was on the company so I'm not trippen! Got the Italian and the simply salad. The hot ass pickles did the trick! I'll hit this spot again when I come back to Flowood.

Food is always fresh. A few times my sandwich, Newks Q, was smothered in sauce making it messy to eat. I have never had a bowl of soup here that I didn't like. Service is friendly.

Always enjoys Newks when in Jackson. Great spot for lunch...soup, salads and sandwiches. Quick service!

Felt like getting Newked tonight. Have seen the places all over Jackson and finally decided to try it before I head to Chicago next weekend for a long while. Food was good, had the Italian with pasta salad. Friendly and helpful staff. Decided to get a dessert because I saw the awesome looking cakes, The Red Velvet was calling my name, so I got a piece to go. Once I got back to the place opened up my package to put in the fridge was a little disappointed...the piece of cake was about half the size of the piece they had sitting in the window. Will taste later to see how much I am going to either miss the other half or be glad I didn't get the whole piece...update either late tonight or tomorrow :)

Great sandwiches, soups, and salads. Tea too. I like the Newk's Favorite salad with the sherry vinaigrette dressing. Newk's is the better big brother of McAlister's deli (same family/company I believe)

If you haven't tried the Newk's Q sandwich, you need to get there now. Seriously, I have never had white BBQ sauce. It is ridiculous. I head to this place as soon as I get off the plane on my infrequent trips home. I wish htey had these in CA.

Yum! One of my favorite places to eat while I was staying in Jackson. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, my favorite dish (half Cesar salad, w/ dressing on the side) varied from location to location. The one in Flowood did an amazing job of always providing the same salad, however in Brandon it was always a hit or miss. Be careful of the cheese on the condiment table (one bin is usually super fresh, and the other is stale and foul smelling). Also, the staff at the Newks in Brandon, were very rude, and we're not so quick to offer a replacement salad whenever they got the order wrong (hello! i'm paying $6.00 for some lettuce and cheese the least you could do is get my order right). All-in-all great place for casual dining & great chicken salad!

The story I heard is that the people that started McAlister's Deli (and subsequently sold it for big bucks) also started Newk's. The result is a great casual restaurant with gourmet pizzas and sandwiches, fresh salads, and good hearty soups. Just a great lunch spot overall. The condiments table in the middle stocked with sweet pickles, imported breadsticks, roasted garlic, peppers, and more is especially fun! I have to come back for the desserts next time.
