Not good. Reminded me of a hospital cafeteria or school lunchroom.

For this type of food, I love it. Its fast, easy, and delicious. I love that all veggies are cooked in broth and there are options that are not fried. We eat there often and my family of 6 are all happy because there is something for everyone.

It's fair. You are never too sure how fresh things are going to be. It's hit and miss. They could certainly do better, but it's not the worst in town to be sure.

Cafeteria style place where you go through a line and pick what you want. I've tried the chicken & dumplings and the pot roast. Really love the pot roast. The chicken and dumplings were pretty good too, but I grew up on the true homemade kind, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to my chicken and dumplings. As for side dishes, I really like the mac & cheese. My parents both love the fried okra (I can't stand okra, so I can only give their opinion). The workers are the counter are nice, but when they are busy, they sometimes rush me through the line a little quicker than I like and I don't really have time to think about what I want. The restaurant is clean. No servers, so you'll be responsible for throwing away your own trash and putting your tray up. Prices per person are reasonable at about $8 a person.

We never can find "real" food with a drive through/quick pick up option. I have been here before but forgot about it. We dropped kids off at a movie today and ordered the "family" red beans & sausage dinner with 2 pint sides and a 7" pan of jalapeno cornbread. Total tab - $21. I'm not sure you could feed 4 big eaters, but it fed us 2 large servings with leftovers . The rice counts as one of the sides, so we did not order it and chose to do some brown rice at home. We got broccoli salad (good) and corn souffle (very good - corn pudding style). For the price it was a good deal and way better than typical takeout. We'll be back. May try the chicken and dumplings or meat loaf next time.

Blah. Nothing special. People working there were nice but that's about it. Cafeteria style food and pretty bland.

Eh.. I wasn't expecting the cafeteria style of this restaurant, knowing the background of the chef. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. I had the chicken tenders, carrots, fried okra and roll. I didn't like the carrots at all... had no real taste to them. Probably won't be going back.

Take out southern home cooked dishes. Fast and delicious. Great selections on both entree and sides. Perfect for a long day that you are just too tired to cook. Try the pot roast.

Combine fast take out with hearty foods your mom would serve on a Sunday -- fried okra, pot roast, chicken and dumplings, etc. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for sure. I haven't had a dish I didn't like!

It's OK, not much more to say about it. I think there are some better local choices.

If you're looking for great southern comfort food, then this is the place! Grant's is the first stop I make when I fly into Jackson on business. The banana bread pudding is great, as well as the rest of everything I had chosen. It is a cafeteria setting, but there's nothing wrong with that. The price is right and I am returning this spring for sure!
