Just opened near Old Fannin Road on Lakeland. It's the first one in Mississippi, but it's sure not to be the last. They bake the bread daily, and you can tell. I had lunch there after the rush. Food came exactly with the few mods I asked for. Try the pretzel bread and the sweet tea.

This place was actually really good. I never would have tried it because I have a tendency to write off chains, if for nothing more than I prefer to use local business, but I was very pleasantly surprised! They have so many wonderful combinations for sandwiches, awesome breads, delicious soup, and yummy salads. They're not your average types of sandwiches either, I seriously recommend the Uptown Turkey on Harvest Toast and Tomato Basil Soup. Their bakery also looks amazing, which I plan on trying as soon as I go back.

Without a doubt, this is the place to have breakfast!. I haven't had quality like this since Old Tyme Deli in Highland Village years ago. We both ordered the Anaheim scrambler breakfast - Excellent and picked up some rugalach to-go which was also delicious. The atmosphere is just lovely and service was great. Now know where to go for a great breakfast and can't wait to try their sandwiches and other bakery items!

THE BEST GRILLED CHICKEN PANINI!! CHICKEN POMODORI is amazing in all its splendor. The sourdough bread, spinach, sundried tomato and mozarella is just heavenly. Ended with a slice of their signature cinnamon creme cake and lemon pound cake. To Die FOR!!

12 people working here and it takes 9 minutes to take one families order and 17 minutes to bring our food? It's 3:00 on Sunday at their slowest hour. This is ridiculous

Fairly good place to eat. The service is very friendly. The atmosphere is nice as well. We will return for another review. Stay tuned!

What better day to test an eating establishment than Mother's Day, and I was actually surprised by the success of our choice- no long lines, no reservation needed... no fuss. And because it was such a good choice, The Corner Bakery is now a usual stop for my family and for me as well when ever I'm in town... Now when we walked in the door, they had us at pancakes and brownies after our meal. Service was good as the cashier taking our order was nice and helpful and they give you a number to take to your table so they can bring out your food. This last trip I wanted to try something different and got the tomato and mozzarella sandwich (which is a cold sandwich) but I'd wanted it warmed so they were happy to toast it for me. But thinking the cheese would be melted was crazy on my part... They toasted the bread (which is yummy btw) but the ingredients were still cold on it. And again I'm crazy and not a huge cheese fan so I ended up pulling the slices of mozzarella off the sandwich which left me with redpeppers, tomatoes, balsamic, arugula, and basil which was delicious... I can eat tomatoes and assorted lettuces all day. But unless you're a fan of alot of fresh mozzarella cheese, perhaps leaving the cheese off is wise. We've encountered nothing but good service each time we've gone (and with the exception of a busy holiday like Mother's Day, going inbetween rush times bodes well for a quiet peaceful meal) However I do fear my family will eat nothing but pancakes when they come here... so exploring the menu is going to go at a slow steady pace. But I'm definitely a fan of this franchise here, so hopefully they can keep it going strong!!!

I've never actually came here for a meal. I'm going to have to do that one day because I hear they have some really great paninis. I come here for the chocolate baby bundt cakes and the free wifi. Even if they didn't have the free wifi, I'd still come here for the chocolate baby bundt cakes! Those baby bundt cakes are the bomb! Each bite is soft, moist, and filled with chocolatey goodness! I sit in Jacksonville, FL craving those little cakes and I can't get them! Waaaaaaaaaa! You can bet your bottom dollar that if I'm visiting MS that I'm always going to head here at least once for one of those baby bundts! Nom Nom Nom! You order at the counter, pay, and then they bring your food to your table. Large, clean restaurant with plenty of seating. They never mind that I sit here for hours on my MacBook using their wifi. Dear Corner Bakery, Please, oh please build a location in jacksonville, FL!

During the conference I attended in Jackson, lunch was catered by this restaurant so this review is just about the catered lunch and snacks and coffee they brought! Catering must be a tough thing for restaurants. In a room full of educators, we had every single dietary need possible! This cafe did a great job addressing all of those needs! I had a vegetarian sandwich that tomato basil mozzarella with arugula and roasted red peppers! The arugula and red peppers added a unique flavor and balanced out the cheese! It was on a great italian roll. It came with a bag of chips, a fruit cup and an oatmeal cookie- a balanced meal! The cookie was okay though it was very sugary. My carnivore friends really liked the chicken pesto sandwich. There was also a roasted vegetable sando with goat cheese. The goat cheese dressed up the marinated veggies quite well! They also provided coffee and treats for snack the first days. The snacks were okay.... mainly some bread chips things (tasted like bagel chips but were much bigger!). They did a good job of providing both sweet and savory. The coffee was good... I wish there were skim milk or soy milk provided but, hey, a girl can't be too picky! Overall, this seems like a great place for catering.

I've been here about 4 times over the last 4 years. Quality of the food is very inconsistent. I think it's been good maybe 2 out of the 4. The menu looks great but the food is disappointing once you get it. Last night my soup was cold by the time I got it. My husband got coffee out of the carafes and it was ice cold.

The usual trendy sandwich and soup place with inflated prices. Went at 4:00 pm and it was dirty. There wasn't much business and employees were tripping over each other, doing nothing. I got Uptown turkey, not much taste. My husband got meatball panini, it was pretty good. Bag of potato chips and piece of dill pickle comes with it. Not bad, but wouldn't go back. There were tables outside too, that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees and 90% humidity. Wifi.

Going downhill fast. Last two times here, the service has been horrible. I think they've changed ownership or management and they have no concept of labor supply and demand. 45 minutes and counting with no food.

Ok I have it another shot after two years. The soup was just barley warm, the salad was just like so so. Boy do we need a Panera! Will not be back here.

Parmesan chicken was too greasy to eat. Bathroom was not clean. If they don't clean under the seat, they don't clean under things in the kitchen.

Tonight was my first visit to a Corner Bakery Cafe and it WON'T be my last. The ladies at the counter were so friendly and helpful. Our food was wonderful. The dinner chopped salad was really big and tasty. Well worth the visit.

Woo! Wanted to grab some breakfast items for my office and was so excited that this was close to the hotel I was staying at. They were very helpful in helping me put together a basket of muffins, bagels and some healthy options like yogurt parfaits. Little did I know how amazing it would be! All of the muffins must have been fresh from this morning because they were all so moist, I stole a bite of almost every muffin and the ones we had that were phenomenal were: chocolate muffin, cinnamon crumb muffin, blueberry muffin (one of my coworkers said this one had crystals of love and joy on it), and a banana nut muffin. The pumpkin muffin was only okay. The bagels came toasted and pre-slathered with cream cheese, I wish they offered it on the side or in some kind of container because it was really too much, I had a bagel and had to scrape a mountain of it off. The honey wheat bagel was delicious though, and with the toned down cream cheese I was good to go. They also had yogurt parfaits and for the healthy eaters in the office they were really appreciative of the fresh fruit and the granola. They all said it was YUM and that the fruit was good quality and ripe. To top it all off they had all of the pastries laid out in a cute to go box, wrapped in plastic with a BOW. I didn't even call ahead and it was so cute, perfect to set up in the break room. Without asking they also provided tons of napkins and packets of silverware. I was impressed with the quality of the food, the speed I got it, and their customer service. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again!!

These people are WONDERFUL. Great customer service, as soon as an issue was raised they replaced the salad, no questions asked. They have real coffee mugs and at least four different kinds of coffee. Breakfast is served all day, so the kids had pancakes and sausage. Desserts are sinfully delicious. Couches and comfy chairs with The World Cup playing add to the welcoming ambiance. This is a regular place for us to eat and we bring out-of-towners at least once, then they ask to come back because it's that good.

Very fresh and healthy options in a sea of otherwise poor choices. I highly recommend this joint. I had lentil veg soup , sesame kale and a southwest avocado salad. Kinda reminded me of a Panera but even more healthy options. I appreciated the posting of calories too. So happy to have found this place!

Came in this morning for a bowl of oatmeal. The employee said we are out. Never said I'm sorry or anything as we walked out the door. Service is bad and employees are rude.

the food was okay not something I would crave but IF I go back I will order something different. On the other side service was quite pathetic. We got thee at about 2:30 on a sunday afternoon and couldn't find a place to sit not because of the crowd but I counted as many as 19 tables that had not been bussed. Tables still filled with crumbs dirty plates and napkins from previous diners and I saw no one attempting to clean them. We said something about it to the manager and he had one table cleaned and then continued to watch a football game on the tv while other customers searched as we did for a clean table.

The food is good if you get them to heat it, the prices are bit on the high side, and the counter staff could be quite a bit more friendlier. Still, it beats a greasy hamburger any day. I would say it is on the same level as Newks. 1/1/14 - I am upgrading this particular location to 5 stars. They have improved the counter staff as well as the wait staff. They must have viewed my previous comments. The last several visits have been met with friendly employees all around. They have even offered suggestions for heated choices and alternatives that give insight into what to order. While I still believe the prices are a bit high, the food is quite good. I prefer food such as this over anything greasy, as I said before. What I say to them now is to keep up the good work, continue to improve and innovate. You will attract more customers, your business will be succeed, and you will be prosperous. Thank you for being nice and helpful. Thank you for the good food. 1/31/14 - My latest visit has proven to be a disappointment. They have apparently decided to give only half as much soup now for the same price. It is practically just a taste instead of enough to be considered part of the meal. The food is still good, but Corner Bakery is making a mistake skimp on the size of the soup portions. I would now consider Newks a much better deal. Earlier it was a toss-up. Both are good, have roughly the same prices, and HAD roughly the same amount of food. I will be going to Newks from now on, I suppose.

I have eaten there 4 times and every time the service, food and atmosphere have been GREAT. They take your order and repeat it back. They have gotten my special requests correct every time. Matthew Herr is the General manager, why he must lay down the law to new employees such that they smile, answer questions without the surliness found at other places. Next time in Flowood or in the area I will be at your door.

I am not sure why I have gone back to this place. Each time, the experience seems to deteriorate. Within the last week alone, I have ended up here three times. On the first visit, a guest was dining with her service dog. One of the servers stopped to pet the dog, then proceeded to go back behind the counter and NOT ONCE WASHED HER HANDS. I told the manager and he didn't even do anything. The second time, I ordered salads to go. Both salads were missing half the toppings listed on the menu as standard. Since I had already gotten home with them, I was not going back. The final straw was this Saturday when my boyfriend and I went in for breakfast after our run. We were very hungry at this point. After waiting forever, another guest and I went to check on our orders and were told they were about to be brought out. When they finally brought our food, it was all barely warm. I took a couple of bites, but eggs that aren't hot are nasty. I was prepared to take my food back and request a refund when the lady who brought our food out came back with a complimentary dessert. She saw we were not happy and went off to process a refund of the entire meal. Upon her return, she told us that some higher ups (including herself) were in the store today to address some problems they've been having and they had also had to send staff home for showing up late (which didn't help their situation any). She gave us some $5 off coupons and told me to call her prior to our next visit and she'd comp our meals. I might give them one last try since they are finally addressing their issues, but I am not holding my breath! This week was only the latest in several disastrous visits in the past year or two.
