Food Suggestions to Maintain Cholesterol Level at Applebee's
I had the most amazing experience at this Applebee's both times I went there on a recent business trip to Jackson! The first time I went for dinner and for drinks because all of my co-workers were raving about their $2.99 GIANT house margaritas which come in a variety of flavors (margarita, strawberry, raspberry, peach and a few others I believe). The margaritas are AMAZING and HUGE. I really couldn't believe what a great deal we got on them and they made the perfect happy hour accompaniement for my friends and I as we unwound from the work day. On top of that was the incredible service at this location, I have no idea why others have complained but maybe this location has improved their service based on feedback? I was so blown away by the service I actually wrote an e-mail to their corporate office! Our waiter was Jertorious who was so fun and attentive without being in-your-face. Our drinks were never empty, we never needed something and couldn't find him, and it was overall just such a great dining experience. They also have great teamwork here, another waitress named Hannah checked on us too and was so sweet. Any time we had to step outside the host opened the door for us with a smile, the manager came and checked on us once (a very nice older woman) to make sure everything was good. We stayed for hours and just had a blast talking and enjoying ourselves. When I came back again for happy hour we sat at the bar and Ivy took care of us. She was HILARIOUS and had us laughing while also hustling to make sure we all got our drinks quickly so we could enjoy them before we had to head to the airport. I am really impressed with this location and will definitely be back next month when I'm in Jackson again, and my co-workers have already claimed it as their go-to happy hour place!

Never mind the Shawn Colvin song playing, this was not a 1988 flashback though I fully expected at any moment the entire cast of Full House to come flying through the door. Rubber chicken earned its name here tonight - the taste, the texture. The unexpectedly good waitstaff in logo laden polo shirts was a pleasure. They ran in a line clapping and singing happy birthday 80s style to a neighboring table. But good service can not rehab rubber chicken a la 1980s.

After my workout, decided to go have a meal and watch the green bay vs cowboy game at the local applebees. I decided to try one of the new diet meals. The food was great, ordered the steak medium and it was delicious. The spinach was not over cooked and perfectly seasoned. Although I though the serving was small :( 350 calories I cant complain. Near the bar there were 3?high definition TVs with the game on. The service was excellent. In between commercials I was checking out the meal and they have a lot of specials at this location. The happy hour and Monday-Wednesday early week deals. Hope to come back for lunch one of these days with work amigos.

It took over ten minutes to get seated even though there was no line. The hostess was very inexperienced. Once seated it was 15 minutes before a waiter showed up. Again, it was not a very crowded restaurant. The waiter said they were understaffed that evening. There were dirty dishes stacked everywhere. We ordered three salads all were fine quality and fresh ingredients.

About Applebee's
Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain. Today, Applebee's serves at more than 1,830 locations worldwide. The Applebee's menu ranges from Appetizers and Salads to heavy meals consisting of ribs and steak.
