Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

A taste of Chicago right here in Corinth - you will find sandwiches here of a non-traditional Corinth twist. Italian beef and polish sausage, gyros, and French fries are highly recommended. Service is fast and friendly. Originally located over 25 years ago on Hwy 72 across from what was then Buckeye Cellulose before the Kmart shopping center was built, I have been eating their Italian beef for over 30 years. My wife always loved their hot dogs with lots of mustard.

First time visit at noon on Saturday. Inside is dated but it adds to the atmosphere. While attempting to order was informed they were out of spaghetti and meatballs and homestyle fries. Ordered Combo dipped and Vienna Beef Chicago Dog. Very good! Authentic Chicago flavor!

This was perhaps the best place to get a top-notch true Chicago style Italian Beef...until the owner stopped running the day-to-day operations. The younger people running it now are not upholding the quality. There are three restaurants serving Italian Beef and this comes in at a disappointing number three. #1 yelp.com/biz/ramjets-iuka #2 yelp.com/biz/mikes-cafe-… (only served on Fridays) These are pretty close to the same as far as taste and quality. Since Mike's is only available on Friday it will be bumped to second. To Each Their Own.

From the outside I was not to thrilled to be going to eat lunch here it looks a little run down. But, once inside it had a diner feel to it and very clean. The staff was great the waitress was very sweet and checked on us the whole time. The cook talked to us too from the open kitchen window asking us how we liked out food. Even the people eating here were great a lot of locals very funny guys. I ordered the Italian beef with cheese and a light dip. The sandwich was great the bread was very fresh and the sandwich was huge...I could not even come close to finishing although I have a couple of guy friends that had no problem demolishing it. I will defiantly be going back when we head to the lake again...I want to try the hamburger we were told it was very popular.

Being from Chicago had to stop in to grab a beef sandwich. Small little place with Vienna hot dog's, gyro's, fries, etc...He has been here for many years. On to the beef sandwich. The bread was fresh and good but where was the beef? Good flavor but skimpy on how much beef they put in your sandwich. The hot dog was typical style Chicago Vienna dogs and it was very good. The beef was disappointing though. Friendly service. My brother does enjoy the gyro, so maybe next time I will give that a try. Skip the beef unless they start putting some meat in the sandwich.

Sometimes you find things in the strangest places that you would least expect and Lil' Chicago seems as out of place in Corinth, Mississippi as a stripper club would be in a Mennonite Colony! Well I just had to ask and of course the owner who was not there at the time is from Chicago and he wanted to bring a little bit of the food he loved back home with him from what I was told. So what better way than to cook it yourself and serve it to the whole town? They got it all here from Real Vienna Beef hot dogs served several different ways to the authentic Italian Beef, Italian Beef & Sausage combos, Polish Sausage made Madison Street Style, fries, char-burgers Chicago style, pizza puffs, pepper and egg sandwiches and a strange menu item known as a "soakie". To the uninitiated the "soakie" is Italian Bread dipped in the au jus beef broth in which they have the shredded Italian beef simmering. That beef is super tender in an Italian Beef sandwich and you can have both hot and sweet peppers on it. Now to notch it up you can add an Italian Sausage in with the Italian Beef to make it a "Combo". Your next coronary bypass never tasted so damn good!! The fries here are raw cut from potatoes and the Chicago Style Hot Dog is authentic right down to the poppy seed bun and the tiny Tabasco peppers and celery salt they dash across the fixins. They also make a Fire Dog with peppers and pepper sauce and a Polish Sausage that will have you dancing a frkkn Polka. You can also order a double Char-Burger too! Do the Cheese CharBurger. Don't screw around. Be down with your commitment to process. Fellow Southerners, I just gotta tell ya though that a steady diet of the delicious food at this place is more well suited to somebody who needs to stay warm in the frigid sub zero winters of the Windy City! In other words you have to be careful eating a Polar Bear's diet in a hot southeastern climate! Not unless you take regular ice baths in your bath tub to burn the calories! Take a little bit of time to stop into this place and grab a bite because it is off the beaten path a bit, but you won't be sorry you did. Hot Dog, fries and a drink is a little bit over 6 bucks but worth it. There is something sure to please everybody here. Now back to that Mennonite Strip Club that I had originally mentioned as part of my opening analogy.. I haven't found it yet. But then again, I haven't really been looking. I wonder though what kind of music they would play and if the extra clothing worn during lap dances would create dangerous friction in drought conditions..deep thoughts. Nevermind! Try this place! Even it it seems out of place, its damn good!

This was just ok. Tried the gyro which was not that good and the Italian beef. The beef was tender and good but just plain. Great service and friendly. Food was just not worth going put of your way for it.

I'm going four stars based on the beef sammy and service alone. Both are great. I get mine with sweet and hot peppers and cheese. Always fresh and flavorful. We stop and get a dozen Dilworth's tamales as appetizers and then go to town. This place and Dilworth's are both great examples of Yelp helping find good places. I've been driving through Corinth for decades and didn't find these places till a few months back thanks to Yelp.

Real Vienna Beef hot dogs. They also have lamb and beef gyros. Good amount of seating for a corner hot dog place.
