Hot and ready to eat. I have had chicken , pork chops and fish. They have a good variety of side dishes.

This restaurant has been here since I was in college and even in high school. Their steak dinner includes the normal steak, salad and bake potato. However, I feel like they are way to expensive for the portions you receive and the surroundings being in an old building. Somehow they are still able to make it with all the restaurants and fast food chains opening in town. When I want a steak, I never think if this place especially with other more reasonable steak restaurants in town that are newer and bigger.

Put a fork in me, I'm done! That's what I always say when I leave Desert Inn. This is the perfect place to go if you're seeking a good steak without the pretentious attitude of other restaurants. In fact, this place's attitude is so subtle you are liable to drive right past it many times without noticing it. That's how off the path it is although it is right in front of your eyes. The building is small and cozy, and frequented by "regulars." It has a smoking and non-smoking section. You are welcome to bring in your own bottle of wine and they will provide the glasses. I love this place because the waitresses are very nice, the steaks are cooked to absolute perfection, and it's a place you can come to in your blue jeans. Other items served up include liver and onions (never tried it), chicken strips, and fried mushrooms. People mainly go for the steaks and the quiet atmosphere. A TV sits in the top corner on mute running the news while you chat away with your friends about your day. This is a great place to go if you want a great steak without all the fussiness of a big night out.

I like the Desert Inn. It's fun to have a place to go for brunch (which they have Saturday morning only). They have plate lunches at mid-day with your choice of entree and sides, and it's pretty good. I have not been for dinner but I'd assume they do a good job.

I was utterly shocked by this restaurant we went on valentines We waited an hour and a half for our food to arrive yes they were busy because of valentines we were very patient. Ike I said it took and hour and a half Our waitress wasvery nice and kept us updated on our order then even she became very frustrated and talked to the owner he c.aimed she got smart with him so he sent her home A few minutes before she came over obviousy frustrated with the cooks slowness and said she. Was paying for our meal which probably around 100 for four of us I went to the counter after the owner sent this poor girl home who was busting her butt and told one of the. Other waiteress we didn't want her paying for our mealshe said she left the nmoney for it and I told her to make sure she got it back she said she would So our waitress. Is sent home and finally after an hour and a half our food arrived 3 of us had steaks potatoes. One had veal the steak was barely warm but tender and cooked how I requested so after we had finished our meal I ask for the owner Who Is eldery Hevtold us he didn't fire her. And went into blaming everyone else but him self I found him to be rude he wouldn't let us talk. He didn't seem to care he did not come to our table to apologize. For the backed up orders but he was going around to other people I told him the whole time she was the only one who came to our table he did not Hensaidvwe didn't havento pay for our meal and my husband gave a tip for her to one of the other waitress. There bottom line I'm sure most of the time this does not happeni felt sorry for the girl. Cause she was working hard and got sent home the food was decent and I may return But I noticed. Some behavior in this elderly. I also saw a few items being sent back and other people also waiting a hour for their food we watched as others food came out maybe this was just a one Time. Thing But I feel the owner should have taken responsibility. Instead of blaming his staff after all he is the owner and it falls on him The waitresses are friendly and quick the owner is defensive. And plays the blame game most people wouldn't have sat there that long but we kept thinking our food wa next but instead people who called in orders and people who arrived after us were served before us All I can say is God bless that waitress and I feel sorry for her having to work for the owner I will return again and let you. .know if it was just a one time thing or if this is a place you want to go if you want to wait for not great pbut decent food The waitresses were very attentive. And kept apologizing the owner only did cause. He had to

This place is awful! My steak was OK but WAY overpriced. I ordered steamed asparagus but it was obviously canned and so mushy it was disgusting. The salad was not green, but white. I had what was left over in the kitchen I guess. I'm not sure how they stay in business unless the people that go there have never been to another restaurant-ever! I wouldn't even consider this a last resort place to eat. Go to a gas station-the food will taste better!
