Great place to eat... I took my four year old with me, they had colors and stuff for him to do... I loved the selection of different pizza not just the run of the mill pizza. There was pizza for him and me... Awesome meal Cheers

I find the food there to be really good and the kitchen mgmt./service to be questionable. I ordered an appetizer, soup, and salad; and it came out in reverse order, I got my salad first so waited to get my soup to eat those together, then when I was almost done the appetizer finally arrived so I took most of it to go. This was at a table (which was never cleaned after I sat down either) but another night I ate at the bar and received much better service. So I rate the food a 4 and the service a 2 averaging out to 3.

I love this place- the environment's cool, they have a good beer selection (finding a place with Southern Pecan on tap always makes me happy), and I love their pizza. Any time I'm in town for Juke Joint Fest, I always make a point to go to Stone Pony and they never disappoint.

This place is a positive sign of the changes going on in Clarksdale's downtown. Over the last few years traveling through Clarksdale it a pleasure to see several new business and restaurants opening in the once almost forgotten downtown. We stopped in during Juke Joint Festival in April, though the place was jammed we were seated quickly. The menu reads like most pizza places, salads, wing pizza sandwiches. The difference is the fresh baked pita bread and warm sliced roast beef, creative pizzas, and BBQ ribs. Everything is done well, and this during an unusually busy time. Happy to see another positive asset to Clarksdale's downtown

It really helps when you walk into a place with great decor. Stone Pony is bad ass. Their seating arrangement is perfect, the atmosphere is perfect, oh, and they have an AWESOME beer selection. I didn't get a pizza. I had a chicken salad tossed in lemongrass. TO.DIE.FOR. Skip all the touristy places on the map. Go to the Stone Pony.

Stone Pony has the potential to be a solid choice for dinner in Clarksdale. Appreciate: -cavernous well-appointed space -modern decor -circular booths -attentive service Less Appreciated: -the Caeser Salad (limp lettuce, overly dressed, what seemed to be Sysco croutons and what's up with the canned black olives? Never saw those on a Caeser) -the pizza (bland city and the crust is just neither here nor there. Lackluster all around) -giant TVs blaring a sporting event that only a few people in the bar area were watching (can't we be spared in the dining room?) I'd go back and give 'em another chance when in town, however.

Looking for a break from BBQ, I heard I should come here and try the Jo-Jo, which is an all meat pizza. The staff was polite and friendly and the decor is nicer than what you would expect from a small town Southern sports bar--a classic, wood grain floor and old brick walls with sports collectables and the like. The pizza was good, but the crust left a little to be desired. It was a hand tossed crust but extremely thin and it didn't hold up to the weight of the toppings. The toppings were generous though and it was tasty.

Enjoyed coming here during my stay at Clarksdale so thought I ought to give it a review from a San Antonio, TX visitor. Love the ceviche, Buck Wild Pizza, wings, and chicken pesto. Some nights there are live performances, tips are graciously accepted of course! Great for a laid back night in Clarksdale with friends and coworkers after a long day at work. Friendly service but it gets pretty busy.

Yummy local pizza, pasta, and salads. I was a fan of the salads! Very pleasant service especially with such a large party to serve.

My group of friends and I arrived in Clarksdale late Sunday night, and we were pleased to find the Stone Pony was open for business. In a small town like Clarksdale, many businesses close on Sunday, but not Stone Pony. The Stone Pony has a very good neighborhood feel, and this is another local watering hole that attracts both friends and family. There is a bar in the back, but most of the patrons had small children with them. Its the local pizza place, after all! Our waitress was very attentive, and she handled our group of 10 very well. Our water, sweet tea, and beer glasses were filled at all times. Our waitress also had a good working knowledge of the beer selection, and she recommended local beers on tap for our crew. I went against the grain and ordered the fettucine alfredo pasta bowl with chicken. It was reasonably priced at just under ten dollars, and there was more food than I could finish. The dish itself reminded me of Olive Garden fare. I felt the pasta noodles were not made in-house, so don't expect fine Italian here. My friends ordered various pizzas off the menu, and the staff were very accommodating of my friends' vegan and vegetarian diets. They swapped ingredients in and out to meet their dietary needs. The pizzas have a thick crust, which many of my friends broke off and did not eat, so if you're a crust-lover, then you'll love the big crusts here, but if you're not, then let your server know: The pizza crusts have a just-baked taste, so I'm sure they will make it thinner upon request. The beer selection and the sweet tea make this place a great place to meet for a drink or a slice of pizza.

The pizza was tasty, but the wait to get it was ridiculous. It was apparent that she forgot our order, but just kept asking us to be patient. There was a great band playing, so hanging around while listening to them wasn't the worst thing that ever happened, but we were starving.

Just tried out the Stone Pony while here on business. Cosmo was great and perfect ending to a long day. Ordered the shrimp and crab dip. They were out. Ordered crawfish, as the flyer on the table let me know it was "crawfish Tuesday." They weren't serving that either. So, resorted to a salad that featured ahi tuna. The tuna was perfectly cooked and delicious, but unfortunately it was served on a bed of rotting spring mix. Eww. Contemplated ordering the canoli, but thought I might be waiting yet another half hour. Honestly, glad I sent the salad back and paid only a $10 tab. The Cosmo alone was worth every dime of that.

Delicious and original little pizzas. They were also able to handle our large group without breaking a sweat.

Great Jo Jo (all meat) pizza. They also have a great shrimp and crab dip that will knock your socks off.

Good pizza, soups, and salads! We had the stone pony salad and loved it! The crust on the pizza was medium weight...not too heavy. I'd go back!

I ordered a Stone Pony salad for my meal. On menu, it states "spinach & romaine". There ain't no spinach in my salad. I'm not a super picky person, but wtf? If your menu says it has spinach in it, put some spinach in the salad, especially if it's the 1st ingredient listed. I also ordered the "Jammin' Fries" appetizer & that was the last thing served, & it was a tiny portion of about 8 fries. It's an appetizer not an "After-tizer". Well, Stone Pony, I am not impressed, in fact, I'm sort of insulted. I hate to have to leave a review like this, but if I don't utilize Yelp to hold a restaurant accountable for poor food service then they just continue on serving like this without any concern. Hopefully this might help give them a reason to improve. The price was fair, the atmosphere & building are quality, the service was okay, but advice to owner, have a look at the food served, the cooks serving them and/or both

Traveling through. Had good reviews so we decided to stop. Wish we would have stayed on the interstate and went to a Subway or something. We paid steakhouse prices for food that took 37 minutes to come out...at lunchtime hours. There are two other groups of two in this restaurant and our food took 37 minutes. I kept telling myself it would good and filing though. This is going to sound like exaggeration, but they brought out a 1" saucer dish smaller than my hand. I finished my $10 entree in exactly 6 bites. Oh, I almost forgot the salad, maybe because it barely existed. They put lettuce on a piece of wax paper and dashed it with mozzarella cheese. Not a bowl of lettuce. Literally a spoonful of lettuce and called it a salad. The sweet tea at this place gets 5 stars. Everything else sucked. Won't be coming back.

WINNER! If I were to open a restaurant/bar, this would be very close to it. Great space, half moon booths, and nostalgics local decor. Very clean, but rustic, and a wrap around copper bar in the back. Also, Jenny 867-5309 was playing in the background, so they know their audience well. Menu choices are tough. They have a lot of my favorites: homemade lasagna, chicken bacon sandwich, chicken pot pie (mine was excellent, and recommended by the friendly server, Ariel!). The apps are top shelf as well! Red pepper and blue cheese hummus was the first choice, but they were out of it today, so I opted for the spinach/artichoke dip (excellent texture and very creamy. I finished it by myself. Don't judge me). Lastly, I had the "fun-sized" Tower of terror ice cream cake. The picture from a previous Yelper coaxed me, and dared me to try. Can't give this one a thumbs up, but only a head nod. The cake was a bit too stiff, like it had been taken out of a package. Only choc sauce, not the hot fudgey gooey consistency I was hoping for. But the presentation was spot on with the pic. check please! Ariel was attentive without being annoying, and noticed the other servers with the same level of professionalism that I find downright awesome! Now, I'll have to come back and try the lasagna and of course, the pizza. Looks like there is much more competition in Clarksdale, MS than I thought. This has moved into my top spot in North Mississippi. Stay tuned for more.

Mediterranean pizza was good and I am from Chicago so I've had some pretty good pizza. Pot pie had three and a half cubes of chicken and a few carrots do not bother with this item. Our waitress knew very little about the beer menu and had to repeatedly go ask the bartender. I am talking questions like "Is this beer a stout?" I blame the management/Owner, you have invest in training your staff better if you do not want customers to write reviews like this.

This was a great place to hang out and watch football! The sliders and bloody Mary's were just what the doctor ordered! Highly recommended!

The Stone Pony continues to make a great pizza and has expanded into the building next door on Delta. Conveniently located mid-block on Delta Avenue, the Stone Pony is steps away from The Squeeze Box, Hambone Art Gallery, Rock & Blues Museum, Foxtrot Gallery, and the 2012 Gallery.

Stopped by before music at Reds to grab a cocktail. Friendly bar tender and she poured a great drink. Decided to order a Pizza to go for later. Pizza wasn't bad especially when you're starving after a late night at Reds. Other bar food looked great. We'll definitely go back.

I am a huge fan of this place. I live in a very small town in the Mississippi Delta region of Arkansas, and sometimes I just need a break from small town life. Stone Pony definitely provides me with the essential break. SO much so, it often reminds me of NY. I thoroughly enjoy the ambiance of this place. Great beer selection, great pizza selection. I highly recommend the Mediterranean pizza, with capers, artichokes, green olives, and cherry tomatoes. The capers on the pizza add a really special taste. The service was the only thing that I would say was lacking. The waitress was just plain scatterbrained.

Great family orientated restaurant .. The pizza is unlike any others. The Reuben is a must try, as well as the Greek salad on pita!! Neighborhood gem

This place is kinda special in the sense that they are the only pizza place in the rural surroundings outside of Memphis. The pizza was pretty good. No NY style, but beggars can't be choosers ;) great selection of beer too. Nice use of fresh veggies. Would def. recommend.
