Short Version: Good food, cafeteria style service, many options. Typical meat and 3 style restaurant. Long Version: The food is good and plentiful in all of my visits. There was nothing that really stood out, but it was all good. On my most recent visit I had Chipotle Bacon wrapped Meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and Mexican cornbread. Everything was good if a bit bland. The lady preparing my plate mentioned that the meatloaf was spicy. I could taste chipotle, but would not consider it remotely spicy. That being said, I thought it was delicious! The macaroni and cheese had plenty of cheese and was well cooked. The green beans were typical "southern style" green beans which means they were a bit soft for me, but still fine. The Mexican Cornbread had corn and what looked like some bits of pepper in it, but I could not taste anything peppery. I found the dining room a bit cramped. Even with nobody sitting at the table behind us my chair was banging against the chair behind me and I had to move it. I saw a lady moving all four chairs at the table behind her to make room to sit. It looks like they have crammed too many tables in this area. I have also had the red beans and rice. It was tasty, but could have used a bit more seasoning. I remedied that with Tabasco sauce. All in all I was pleased with the quality of the food, the serving sizes were large, and I cleaned my plate. It was around $10 with a drink. I would have to agree with a few other reviewers that the food is a bit bland, but I'm sure it is difficult seasoning to fit all tastes. It's nothing I can't fix at the table with salt, pepper, and maybe Tabasco sauce. They offer carry-out or drive through. My wife takes advantage of this quite a bit to get her Mother dinner in the evenings. It's my understanding that from 4-6pm prices are 20% off which is a nice discount. I'm sure that I will go back.

I only give it 2 stars for convenience and drive though for a "meat & three". The food is okay, but on the tends to be on the bland side. Everything needs salt or something... It's not exactly "fresh". It sits on the buffet line until it's sold. The portions vary depending on who is working, so you don't know if you get a full meal or half servings. The pricing is reasonable, but Kroger deli is better at the same price. You just have to get out of the car. The Mexican cornbread is the best thing, sad to say. I used to eat here occasionally because of the convienence, until I had two hairs in my food. One was baked in the middle of my mac & cheese and the other was in my greens. This makes me question the sanitation practices. I will NOT be back. I'm all for supporting locally owned business, but they need a wake up call. It has potential to be a great place.

Nothing fresh about fresh market A Hugh disappointment. The rolls were hard not hot and certainly not fresh I expected a fresh baked roll.... the greens were watery and the worst frozen reheat I've ever had.... the chicken and dumplings were canned with a few chunks of processed chicken not what fresh would be... never again

I usually order the same thing when ever I go to fresh market and I have only one complaint. I WISH I could get a full scoop of rice instead of a half spread across the bottom of my plate. I usually have to go home and cook more rice to complete my meal.

This place is awesome for a bachelor like myself who loves a good home cooked meal without actually having to cook it!!! Lol... So far everything I have tried, has been on point! Also, as a side note, I gained more respect for the guy I'm assuming is either the owner or the manager. I came in last night around 8:45 and they were having a private party. Apparently they close at 8:30, but seeing a parking lot full of cars, I thought they were open. After walking in, he approached me asking if I wanted a to go order, and I said yes sir. His response was, " We close at 8:30, but we just have a big party coming in is why we are still open. If you want, go ahead and tell them what you want and they can ring you up". Most places would have refused service to me being as they were closed AND had a private party going on. But he welcomed me in anyways, took my order, and thanked me for coming in as I was leaving. For that, they gained my respect. Also, the employes who work there seem to be just as friendly. Their food I'd rate 4 stars, but giving the friendliness of the staff, I give this place 5 stars

Not impressed with the food. Chicken tenders didn't have much chicken and the roast was dry and beyond bland. The veggies were just okay. We won't be returning.

Love the food but the people who work there are not all together. I always have to wait for chicken strips or catfish to be cooked which is fine because it's hot but when I tell you I need 4 adult plates and you know the person is the drive through is waiting on 4 plates himself, why would you look confused when there is not enough chicken. Customer service is about "listening" to the customer and hearing them.

Save money and get a better neal by going to Kroger deli right behind Fresh Market. And Kroger even has that great pellet ice for your tea.

It is hard to find a great restaurant that is also great at catering meetings. My job hosts monthly meetings for about 50 - 60 members. We have had nothing but great things from Fresh Market Cafe. The meats, veggies, sides and desserts are all great! And the price is very reasonable for a group buffet. I highly recommend.

Great home style vegetables.. Like Mexican corn bread.. Reasonable price for balanced meal... I would describe it as a privately owned Piccadilly, without the gross jello.. has a special from 4pm to 6 pm
