This is a great local place -- absolutely no pretension at all and not that much seating. Very busy at lunch -- it's obviously a place a lot of locals eat at. Just the sort of place I like to stumble on. The food was good, solid, flavorful cooking.

The food is very good and the people who work there are always very friendly. I recommend the gumbo, red beans and rice or the shrimp burger with the jalapeno bun.

Brief and short as possible on this review. Went for lunch and had the Gumbo Bowl for $8.99. Wait time perfect. Welcoming staff perfect. Gumbo had inconsistent temperature. Other words on the top warm and on the bottom cold. This threw my whole lunch experience off. Gumbo should be served piping Hot because it's a cherished soup. Obviously it was taken from the chiller and probably microwaved. As a customer we would always like to believe there is a large pot of gumbo on the stove in the back on low simmer. So that thought was totally crushed today. Will I return? Yes. I'm a second chance type of guy. But not for the gumbo. Good things can come from bad experiences. As a matter of fact because of this experience I'm now on a quest to search for the best gumbo in the south. 2 stars.

If you find yourself out in Biloxi and don't mind the smell of fresh seafood, Bruno's is a great place to stop and have lunch. BC is connected to a fresh seafood store and runs the best brisket or fried fish lunch special. The corn fritters are a must and while they only take cash it is a great place to catch lunch. I only gave it three stars because they have limited seating, parking and only take cash. The food is delicious and moderately priced and if you can find a table at lunch its a great place to eat.
